A lively and on point reaction to this 4 year old studio recording of Hallelujah, when Lucy was just 16. Your 'ramble' at the end of the reaction about the Paris Olympics was also (although you may not have realised it) on point as well, with Lucy dropping an amazing cover of Whitney Houston's 'One Moment In Time' shortly before the opening ceremony!

This song was my introduction to Lucy a few years ago, and it’s been a great ride. Looks like you’re hooked too. My other favorites are We Can Change The World, All By Myself, and Footprints In The Sand.

This also was my intro to Lucy, quite by chance as it popped up on You Tube as a suggestion, knew the song never heard of Lucy but after hearing the first song spent 4 hours following her suggestions at the end of each, and she hooked me........😃😃

Thank you for the reaction to Lucy again. You both are starting to understand the enormous skill and talent that this young woman possesses. She is very special and is the best female vocalist. This song has deeply affected many people as attested in comments. Leonard Cohen wrote this as a concern with God for friends leaving him or doing bad things to him - it is not religious praising God. Yet, Lucy sings it so passionately that from the comments many people have had religious experiences from this video! Lucy is special. There is no one who can consistently communicate emotions in songs. Lucy is simply the best.

Great reaction again. It’s good that you picked up on Lucy’s wonderful vibrato. I have seen many singers, over the years, overuse vibrato to cover their inability to hold a long note, without it wavering. Lucy can maintain a long note in perfect pitch, before adding a touch of vibrato. Likewise you mentioned “runs”. You are spot on when you say Lucy didn’t overdo it in this performance but this is typical for her. She doesn’t need to overuse vocal gymnastics to get her musical message across because her voice is so beautiful. ❤

It has nearly 100million views across two UA-cam Channels .46million on Lucy´s Channel and 36million on Robbie Dunbar (Fan Club) channel. Lucy did A live version of this as the encore at her concert in Manchester in March This Year. And I believe its even better than this, as Lucy´s voice has matured even more.
