There are so many factors that makes a great singer. But Lucy does seem to have that rare thing of possessing all of them. Her tone / timbre, range, technical ability, voice agility, song choice and ultimately the directness of her performance, the way she looks to the camera and into your soul making you believe every word. She has a depth and maturity and an understanding of the lyrics way beyond her young years. The best bit is that she has many years ahead of her and I wish her (and her sister) much success.

I have perused You Tube for 10 years and just last summer the first Lucy video, Hallelujah popped up, but why did it take You Tube so long to feature it. Having been broken and destroyed by my narcissistic ex , I could not listen to any songs without triggering pain. Today by chance I heard this song. It made my tears fall like rain. I knelt down to pray to our Lord for strength and forgiveness.

Hey John - I'm 86 in a couple of weeks. There are no words - these two beautiful girls are from some other world populated by 'angels'. The voices are almost ethereal and the love between the two sisters (who probably fight like tigers in real time) is palpable. Credits must also be showered on the orchestral accompaniment. The song's sentiments together with its melody simply make me cry! I'll say no more or PRIVATE EYE might flag me up in Pseuds Corner.

As you know Chris, I've supported Lucy for many years. Following her journey is both compelling and incredible. Just when you think she can't get better, her next video showcases something new and mind blowing. Lucy is exceptional. The fact that so many of her videos give me goosebumps over and over on each watch confirms this to me. I can get lost for hours just listening and watching. Martha is coming on leaps and bounds too. It is a pleasure watching her grow and starting to push Lucy. Their duets are fast becoming an equal partnership. Thanks for the care you take with them both. I can't wait to see what the future brings!
Richard Powell Yes and I was glad to see Martha reappear after 8 months in SMILE, and yes her voice is maturing and she is really coming on. we have to remember Martha is about the age of Lucy when she appeared on UK Kids. And it is not fair to Martha everybody comparing her to Lucy, Martha is 5 years and 5 months behind Lucy. We raise 2 girls 4 years apart and I saw the sister thing in them and as they got older one thing we heard from the younger one was she was NOT the older sister she was herself and that is the same with Martha these off handed comments comparing sisters is down right cruel, it discourages the younger sister. we also saw that in our younger daughters 2 daughters they were only 2 years apart but same thing, A couple of the reactors get too critical and too much comparing the two, not right. Let Martha develop, she is a beautiful singer especially liked her in SMILE.

This young lady has a once in a generation talent. That voice has a spiritual quality and smoothness that sends chills up your spine...an angelic voice. She goes up and down the scale effortlessly. There is never even a waver of that voice regardless of the range. Really as close to flawless as it gets. The world needs to hear this young lady sing on the biggest stages. Her sister is right on her heels and also has that angelic voice, no doubt these 2 young ladies will be going places in the future.

Been a fan of Lucy since i saw her singing Run when she was 10 years old have been amazed with her voice ever since at 19 not one voice can come close to her Lucy is simply the best and her duets with Martha are beyond words i hope they have a tour in America some day i will be there
from an old man, who has been listening to these young ladies for a couple of years, it is so refreshing to see and hear young ladies who can actually sing with angelic voices, with a strong dose of class each video produced. I am sure the "mom" has been, and is a marvelous example, as well as a coach. THANK YOU "MOM" FOR RAISING SUCH BEAUTIFUL LADIES WITH SUCH ANGELIC VOICES.

Beautiful !!!! But how do you pick just 5 top songs ??? As ALL of Lucy's songs are top. I discovered Lucy about a year ago, recovering from surgery and HALLELJAH popped up on a suggested You Tube, Never heard of her before but knew the song and not being religeous for some reason I clicked on it and my Gawd what a singer !!! In my 82 years I have never heard such a beautiful voice !!!! And she was just a simply beautiful young lady, no goofy hair do or color, no gobs of make up just those beautiful blue eyes and a little light lipstick. She grabbed my attention and has not let go. I spent the whole afternoon just listening to her beautiful singing !!! When one song ended at the end are 4 suggestions I clicked on one and then another and then another, and I discovered her little sister Martha and what a further treat... and yes I am Hooked on Lucy, and Martha, like I have never been on any other singer, well Lucy is an entertainer, she performs her song not just sings them. I am glad Chris is putting together these songs also, showcasing Lucy's incredible talent.

Agree, Wilbur, you really can't go wrong with just 5! Obviously, Chris had to pick 5 for a short snipet of Miss Lucy's performances, but you're right; her ENTIRE work of performances (not songs; she puts passion, emotion, and feeling into everything she does and taps into your soul) are simply amazing and beautiful!
You could have any combination of performances and not go wrong everyone of her songs is a masterpiece and her duets with Martha are special, but I have to include Moon River because it was the first time I heard Lucy's beautiful voice and I knew instantly I would become one of the millions of No 1 Lucy Thomas fans worldwide,I can't go a day without listening to hear powerful yet soft and heartfelt beautiful voice
