Those are nice and i had a couple 50.42 heavies as well. Sold my Belgian guns some years back when the money went crazy. I discovered i really like the Argie guns as much or even more.
The hole in the stock is so that you can run your sling back there if you so choose after the jump. I know that I prefer the sling attached in the rear. The easiest (and most silent) way to attach it, is with paracord.
cool, thanks. I thought it coudl be that or maybe attach a lanyard to it to more easily open the stock with gloves or something. Just know its pretty unique to the FNH guns.
I finally got a NOS DSA SA58 FAL last month. The medium contour stainless barrel with the stainless LMT receiver that was reviewed by Soldier of Fortune magazine in October of 2000. My new favorite rifle. Extremely well made superb rifle in all aspects. Love it. Now I want more FAL's. Really like the one you have, as of today it is available on DSA's website, might have to pull the trigger on one before they're gone.
Great vid Mishaco. My recent experience buying a Bushwarrior ParaFAL directly from DSA was terrible. After waiting six week to get it, they shipped with the wrong features and the rifle would not eject enty shells. After sending it back for repair, it seat there for four weeks and they had to replace a few things such as the bolt carrier and adjust the gas port. I go it back all scrash up with some of the finnish gone. DSA does not do any QC on their rifles and they do a terrible job when you send it back for any repairs. I will not buy againt nor will I reconmend DSA to anyone.
DSA got this one to me in under a wek. I dealt with Robert over there. I couldn't recommend his service more highly. He was friendly, took time to answer my questions, and got my order out the door in about 3 days. And no, had nothing to do with this channel. I never mentioend it and i am sure he didn't recognize me. Just a nice guy who loved talking guns.
In the 90’s I bought a Hesse build. I could never get it to run well but that was before I knew about the adjustable gas system. Anybody had experience with Hesse?
Hesse was considered bottom of the barrel. If my understanding is correct Hesse made their own receivers and assembled parts kit guns with widely varying degrees of quality. Hope this helps
Oh yea, wanted to tell everyone in 1982 when I was 22 yo the Belgian FAL brand new was $899. I had one in my hand but bought an HK91 for $799 brand new. After shooting my friends FAL in 85' I didint want the HK any more.
FALs were a much better value proposition as home builds of original barrel kits on Imbel receivers from Pars. These days, even over at FALFiles, everyone favors the SCAR for practicality. I think the FAL is still my favorite of the Cold War era battle rifles, though, and I still enjoy shooting them. DSA also made short OSW pistols that are a real blast (pun intended).
@@Spartan73799 I'm partial to my SG751 and it wasn't much more than a SCAR. Esp when you realise most owners dump a lot of money in aftermarket parts into their SCARs to get them proper.

You see the same comments in most videos. Fact is every manufacturer turns out a lemon and every CS department either has a bad employee or just a bad day from time to time. Sucks when its you recieving it but just one of those things. I bought my firstr DSA in 2005; I've had very few issues over the years.
Nah. Buy it now. Especially if your state keeps attempting to pass draconian anti gun laws. People in Washington held off, got hit hard. Then the next political session they got hit again. Buy it now while you can. You will not have an unlimited amount of time. And just wait, if Trump isn’t elected there will be another panic purchasing wave on firearms, mags and ammo. It will happen. Buy now while the getting is good.
Exactly. All this “limited production” bs for an american made clone rifle is growing tiresome. DSA is nothing special, unfortunately temonly name in the FAL game.
Hi Misha, I think for sure go shoot it! I have my DSA SA58 I bought in 2005 and it IS my most Cherished rifle. I ordered it with 21" barrel, para stock and no carry cut and a Browning style hider. The charging knob does always want to poke your stomach but havent changed it to folding yet. I had to wait 10 years for the clinton ban to end and then when I ordered and down payment of $500 at my favorite shop here in Reno it finally showed up 6 months later. DSA was that far behind on their orders. I Really like your argentine. I would be happy with only that. I also put a green SAW grip and green barell shrouds and a top cover witha DSA 4 power combat scope. 300 yards, 12' plate, super easy hits all day. I am happy with just 1 FAL but cant get enough AKs, what's up with that?
Just so you know, the folding handle won't work with a standard receiver. The front of the cocking handle slot has to be releaved to let the handle fold in all the way.
i thought i replied to you yesterday but....they don't. This one is built on a forged receiver and they sell stripped forged receivers too. I got 2 of them for other projects last wek. Yes, they do offer a cast receiver but its not the only option.
Same. Honesty the only battle rifle still made that seems worth it for the money is a PTR-91. The DSAs are crap and the M-1A is pretty overpriced and obsolescent.
@@MegaSpongebob94 They've had issues with receivers and other parts they manufacture not being in spec, which is a big deal for kit builds, but maybe less of a problem buying a complete rifle from them.
My DSARMS FN-FAL runs both 147gn. and 168 gn. Just Fine !!! I owned A Belgian 50.63 also flawless. I'd take The DSARMS into harms way. Problem is I'm too damn old to hump a rifle and a ruck of this weight 😮 😅 Those days are long gone.

This one is a bit of an oddity. It came out of the owner of Armscor's collection. I got it and a Congo version.

Have optics ever been used on FALs?
Lookup the SUIT and SUSAT optics.
DSA sells a Picitinny Dust cover for it that lets you put Optics
I stumbled on to an old ARMS railed top cover for a FAL a few years back at a gun show so mine does
