  • Finally finish with the rsx and I love the results.
    Here's the spec sheet:
    K20A2 head
    Supertech 95lbs valve springs with steel retainers
    Skunk 2 Tuner 2 Cams
    Stock k24 rbb block 10.5:1 CR stock rbb pistons
    K24 oil pump
    Skunk 2 ultra street intake manifold
    550cc bosch injectors
    255phl walbro gas pump
    Plm Rsx K24 header
    Maxpeeding rods billet 70mm TB
    The car was tuned on 90 octane gas.

    sweet build. Glad you showed the valvetrain upgrades because its really worth it over just a drop in cam. That valve spring compressor looked pretty easy to use too

    You need to put that swap in a lighter shell like a dc2 and be ready to be amazed.

      Here we swap k24's into Honda civic EK hatch which is lighter than the dc2 but in this vlog I'm just showing you different ways to make power in the rsx.

    Nice good stuff. Thinking about upgrading the entire valvtrain going 3" all the way down, and a head port for my k24a2 and then getting retuned. Right now pushing 226hp in 05 rsx, just intake headers exhaust ktuner.
    Good stuff love the numbers

      What type of cams you plan on using? 3" is very good for K series engine, you get more off of them with that size.

    Sick build man. I just recently destroyed my a3 engine, planning on swapping in another one. Unfortunately I don't have the budget for a better engine

    If u did tune on open header it would pick up 10 or 15 more HP but good power overhaul

      That's some good numbers, our initial plan was to use tsx cams but we change route because they were hard to come by.

    Bit too late but you should've used oil or assembly lube prior to installing the cams dry, good video though.

    By running a stage 2 cams did you use a rbc 50 degree vtc and did u not have to do valve to piston clearances

      It was a stock k20a2 head, I just transfer the 50° cam gear from the stock cam on to the S2 cam then install the springs and retainer, set the timing and that's it.

    do you have to turn off the engine to TDC every time you change your valve springs in each cams rocket ?

      Turn to tdc for cylinder 1&4 then do the same for 2&3...so by doing this you only turn to tdc twice.

    Why a k24 oil pump?? K20a2 oil pump is way better.

      Didn't want to touch the lower half of the engine, if you notice no piston upgrade was done.

      @@rohanovegeway8627 Should of done it, its really easy, type S oil pump flows a lot better it's actually safer for the engine.
      Stock pistons will also handle up to 8600rpm on the k24. I have a k24a2 in my eg and did the 50 degree vtc and type S oil pump and its amazing. I'm building a z3 head to put on it next

      Just get a string like what I used in the video and feed it in the cylinder where you plan to do the valve work, then rotate the engine until the piston in that cylinder where you feed the string reach the top. After that you can replace the two intake and exhaust seals for that cylinder then repeat the process for the other three cylinders.

      RBC ported to 72 or 74mm paired with the same size throttle body, injen cold air intake, Megan racing header accompanied with a 2.5 exhaust system (3" would be nicer), that's for bolt ons. To add a little more you can grab the 06-08 intake and exhaust tsx cams.

      There's another stock intake cams that is more aggressive than the 08 tsx cam but that I'm going to reveal on another vlog.

      @@jonahswanktv2167 Most people would say get it tuned right away but for me you don't have to, just try not to go too much in the high rpm's and you're suppose to be good until you find a tuner.

      @@rohanovegeway8627 FD2 type r cams I think are better. Ported RBC and intake manifold with velocity stack and it's pretty fast
