- Rob Reeves was a member of legendary SEAL Team 6 when he was killed in Afghanistan in August of 2011 along with 22 other soldiers. This is a story about a little boy from North Louisiana who grew up to become an American Hero.
Robs dad should be so proud . He raised a hell of a man.

As wonderful as these guys are, they are a minuscule part of the military and population. Also, they invariably attempt to downplay their background, but might as well have a sign around their neck ' Retired SEAL ', lol.

Obviously, you have not a shred of pride in the very people that sacrifice all they are to protect the most citizens of the world, nor an understanding of what incredible mental strength it takes just to complete US Navy SEAL training. To do so, and THEN go into every mission KNOWING it may likely be your last cannot be accomplished or understood by those either born or infected with an India-Delta-10-Tango virus...such as yourself. I was on the USS independence CV 62,and USS Mississippi cgn 40, I made 3rd class on the Mississippi... active duty.

I went to Bootcamp and A-School with him. Him and another guy named Mulder was like Twin Brothers. He had a great sense of humor and loved his LSU Tigers. We always knew, even in Bootcamp(Division 439), he was going to be a SEAL. Out of a 100 guys who pledged to becoming a Badass Seal, we knew Reeves was going to become one without a doubt. I didnt know of his passing until 3 or 4 years ago and went into grieving. Proud to have known him and witness his growth on the path to becoming SEAL. RIP Rob. Miss you bro

Extortion 17 was the name of this mission. I was a door gunner in a CH-47D helicopter that was part of a Michigan unit relieving the Kansas unit that lost that bird with their five Army National Guard crew members that died along with the seals. I found part of the ashes and melted M240 barrels and other pieces of that downed bird in two metal trash cans while inventorying seats and different parts for the birds on the flightline. I was two weeks in country at this point and I sat there in the conex holding what was left of them in my hands, and I cried for bit. May they all never be forgotten. God bless.

I had the pleasure to meet these men in my deployment 2010-2011 Afghanistan. It was that August of 2011 I also had the tragic duty of fighting for their bodies and bringing them home! I wont ever forget that valley (Tangi,afg) may they all rest in peace!

It takes a special type of person to do what men like rob do. Rob is a true man. It’s hard to explain the qualities and character of these men in words, but it’s guys like Rob and Michael Murphy (just for example) who just have that larger than life type of mentality to do good for those around them. The world needs more men like Rob.

It always makes my heart shine when i see that your own people are a great social community and do honour the fallen soldiers everywhere !
Here... we don´t have a military community and families of military members who come together to pay respect to our fallen soldiers that much.
It´s sad but back in the day 2011 or a smimilar date, when a KSK - Member was killed in Afghanistan during a enemy assault, the government denied the news to the public and everything went quite around this men. Even the funeral was a secret and only the most important persons could take part.
Good Men serve for our Country, doesn´t matter if it´s Delta Force, SAS, KSK, or a similar SOF Unit.
In the heart they are the same.
I honour these brave men.
Whoever dislikes this Video is probably a ignornant person who doesn´t know what it takes to become a men who makes little steps for himself but large ones for the free western world.
