  • In this video I show how I made telescoping miter gauge fence from aluminium square tubes. I wanted fence, what is compact, but also has ability to extend for longer cuts on my tablesaw.
    Part list:
    Aluminium square tubes 20mm x 30mm x 2 mm and 25mm x 15mm x 2mm from local store
    T-tracks: bit.ly/2RKvysQ
    Adjustable levers: bit.ly/2T3VgKF
Track stop / flip stop: s.click.aliexpr...

Absolutely brilliant. All the best designs are simples and elegant. Very nice trick with the glue - not seen that before. Thanks for sharing

Good stuff. I saw your table saw build video also. I’ve been planning my own similar to yours, I even ordered the same miter gauge. Even have the same Skill circular saw but planning to transplant the saw from my Mikita contractor style saw on to the newly built table. The main issue will be the fence system, your idea seem to be working nicely. Good job

Boa noite, primeiramente parabéns pelo seu trabalho, um dos melhores que já vi por aqui.
Gostaria de saber qual o comprimento você usa nessas barras de alumínio? ( 0:30 )
Desde já o meu muito obrigado!

    Outstanding!
It gave me the idea of a telescopic fence for a table saw using similar setup on both sides of work bench to cut pieces up to 920mm(3ft)!
Also, a fence may be made to cut 1220mm(4ft) if desired!😂
But I'm seriously considering building myself a small work bench with a telescopic fence with a reach of 9200mm!
    Thanks for the idea!

Hi! I used Soudal fix all classic. Maybe there are better alternatives, but I don’t have any problem with this one (at least now).

Hey pal can't you just do some metal welding to the tubes ? I am a photographer who likes wood working so just asking ? Welding will be more stronger than applying any glue or adhesive ???

Of course, if tools are available it can be welded/ soldered. Glue is one of options.

I just made miter gauge fence square to part what goes into t-track (I know that t-track is parallel to saw blade) and then checked squareness of cuts.
