DK - if you add 2 small bolts with hex heads to the inner surface of the fence runner (the bit that runs along the edge of the table) at each end where the toggle clams are, you'll then be able to "tune in" the fence to be PERFECTLY 90 deg to the TABLE, by adjusting the bolts forwards or backwards - there are various ways to do this, but the most simple would be to draw a pencil line on the table along the fence, then flip the fence to the other side of the table and see how it lines up, a discrepancy will be obvious (it's the same trick as checking a carpenters square for "square". Once you've got the fence to a perfect 90 deg to the TABLE, then you can also fine tune the blade to the fence by just slightly enlarging the screw holes holding the saw frame to the table and making tiny adjustments until tha saw blade is perfectly aligned ot the fence. This is standard practice for setting up a table saw - having a misaligned blade or fence will cause unlimited poroblems until it's correctly set and aligned to each other. I realise this advice is 2.5 years late, but just in case anyone else see's your idea and uses it.
This is most simple way to make table saw I have ever seen, even I am as a beginner in woodworking will be able to make my own table saw. Thank You so much about your usefull video God Bless You👍🙏
The simplicity and the effectiveness of this method is extremely well. If I can only bring one knowledge of building a table saw, this is the one I'll pick.
Simple and effective. Good to have a very smooth surface for the wood to slide. Greatest concern is that there's no riving knife. For anyone not familiar with table saws and new to them, I strongly recommend you understand what "kickback" is and how the riving knife will stop this from happening. Without the riving knife you will 1) What to make sure your guard opens up away from the blade a small amount 2) Use a push stick to push would through closer to the blade One pro of no riving knife is that you could use the table saw to make crown molding by cutting on a 45 and adjusting the blade up 1/8th of an inch each time.
Great work. This is as basic as it gets to a simple DIY table-saw that really can be accomplished w/o having drill press, friggin' blowtorch and other big-ass equipment, unlike other "DIY table-saw using SIMPLE tools" videos...
Thank you for this video. I’m working on a homemade router table, and I’ve been trying to figure out how I’m going to do the fence. I’m going to do something really similar to what you did here. You’re awesome!

A very well thought out diy table saw. Nice and simple is sometimes the best approach. I agree with another comment that you ideally need to add dust collection which I think you can easily achieve. You clearly didn’t intend to build a very complicated table saw so I don’t necessarily agree with the comment that “there is a lot of room for improvement “ especially as I feel you are more than capable if that is what you had set out to do. However if I may make as observation which is safety related. You are currently not protected against kick backs so you might want to consider installing a riving knife and maybe a simple blade guard. Otherwise a really nice neat low cost table saw. I especially like your approach to the fence. 👍
@ Steve 127 Your 2 suggestions sound straightforward, but in fact are quite complex tasks to achieve on this simple arrangement. ● Do you have any suggestions at all as to how they might be achieved? Looking forward to your in-depth response 🤔
Very nice. Very pretty, and the fence clamps particularly are really cool. You really should have some kind of a riving knife, though - even if it's just a piece of aluminum angle. I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that a riving knife is the #1 line of defense against kickback.
Awesome creation... keep always creative 👍 By the way, I think your table need to adjust higher to meet a comfort stand, you seem always bend your body
If you want a table saw, buy a table saw...as someone who uses one all the time, this is friggin scary! The chance of a serious kickback is almost 100%
Before anyone decides to make this from this video, I highly suggest watching some table saw kickback videos. I noticed the board was twitching side to side when you were beginning to feed the board. You are not supposed to push the off piece. It's simple design many people choose not to make for good reason. Table saw is the most dangerous tool in the shop.
Is make a circular saw to be table saw with just screw is not safe for long term using? I see a lot of video of it and decide to buy a real table saw with little range of price.. it have better safety i think
Parts list? Like those table clamps? Type of wood or if you put a finish or oil on the woood to make it slide better and where you get the tracks the clamps slide on? Thanks and I love all your videos, you’re so talented and make everything a lot more learnable unlike most videos, you create amazing work with basic power tools...it shows your true skill and proves you can build anything as long as you use your creativity
I was impressed about then fence system, simple and ingenious. Would have never thought of the clamps like that .. I need a new fence for my table saw ... this could be a winner

Please do not stand directly behind the blade when cutting and add the riving knife for your safety. Search for "table saw kickback" and you will understand why!
Simple and effective, now all it needs is a dust collector!
ZXCharlieR the first cut at the end made me laugh with that big ol sawdust cloud 😁

Excellent. Love the fence. Great job.
Very well made, but it's too dangerous to mount the manual saw upside down, there is no protection over the blade, and it could produce kick-back

I am a qualified carpenter and I suggest dismantling this ASAP.
Reason being I don't believe the screws are appropriate for installing the circular saw to the table
1) Circular saws will wobble/screws will come loose over time
2) Changing the circular saw blade you will have to remove and reinstall screws causing a looser hole
Possibly you could countersick a nut/washer into the top of the ply and bolt it from the back but even then the structural strength is quite low and you will have to tighten it once in a while..
