Yeah that's the one that I have, the batteries one. I believe most keys if not all should be functional with iOS. I have not tried it, but I don't see why most keys wouldn't.
If it has been paired you may have to just delete the pair and re-pair it. If hasn’t been paired either the keyboard is having issues (something similar happened to my mouse, sadly I had to get a new one) or it’s your computer’s bluetooth connection which is messing with the signal.

How do you get the keyboard to resend the signal? It sent it twice then stopped.

I didn't need an app. Just put it in pairing mode and it connected to my phone and firestick. I bought it for the firestick though.
