Mate, I met the bloke who originally started Jollip lures the other day randomly while fishing one of NSW premier Cod lakes which happened to reach 100% for the first time in 20 odd years. If Don has passed on even a tiny percentage of his lure making knowledge to Joey its no wonder the twitch 80 is such a great lure. Great clips on the travels, fun times.
Mate you should think of yourself like that lure as a UA-camr. Handcrafted quality that just works as it should. Not only do you present yourself incredibly well, you’ve mastered this type of fishing and share the knowledge in a way that any one can watch. And then the videos with tommy are just too much. Keep it up mate. Love the channel. 👍👌
Thank you for your kind words of support Miles. Sincerely mate ;) I’m stoked to read that you appreciate what I share here like that. You’re right, those sessions with my family are super special. Thanks ;)
WOW! The colour of the water is amazing, crack up.You couldn't get your words out quick enough to complete lure review from so many fish being caught.Love the new camera angles you've been doing?Noticed it straight away last couple episodes, its great being able to c what you see.Thanx Johnny for taking us with you on the trip of a life time.I have picked up so many lures just from watching you,Especially Rio's prawn an the MMD.Thanx Mate.
Cheers Tez ;) your comment weeks ago to get more chest cam style stuff was bang on. It takes a lot more editing to multicam it but it certainly improves the experience mate. Totally agree. Great to hear you enjoy what I’m sharing and have picked up some of those lures too. I wish I had a Rios with me on this trip. WA suits them for sure and I bet barely any fish here would have seen Em too.
Another great video mate, nothing better then having an occasional adrenalin rush when hooking up to one of those tax men of the ocean. Caught a few at Fraser Island on live bait but never on a lure. It's not bad fun, good work getting your lure back but you gotta realise those teeth do more damage then the hook in your hand a few videos ago. That lure was awesome now we know what your new favourite jack lure will be. Going to purchase one for my daughter as she's getting into lure fishing and see how it goes in south east Queensland mate. Keep up the great content.
Cheers James. Yep that shark definitely coulda done some damage and I would have been feeling deserved after the mishap with the grunter only a couple minutes prior. It’s an impressive lure to know that a bloke has sat down and made it by hand and it swims so well and holds up to the beating it got eh.
Cheers Crossy ;) they’re a beautiful thing. I must thank you for your offer recently too. Once I’m back I’ll have to follow up and throw one around 9Mile and see what happens ;) cheers
Woulda been a 5minute review with a sad ending if she didn’t. Haha. You’ve made a very special fish catching machine here mate. Stoked to have the chance to fish it on my trip ;) looking forward to the stories of blokes who get to try em out for emselves in the coming months
we all know now how well the Twitch 80 lures r made n how gud the terminals r after the shark field test, well done getting it bak. the Naka Fizzer 95 is awesome on the jacks(u have done a review)n the Fizzer 130 also works quite well over the flats for big flathead.
Hey mate great videos can you do a video on how to cast a bait caster and also when you are using any soft plastics can you shear how to pick the right size hook / jig head for the plastics cheers mate
Amazing video champion , have you tried the HM Lures Bent mullet , hand made wooden lure by Dizzy Borg, i got some for surface flathead , but haven't tried them yet, due to lockdown, any tips, love the videos champion, great work,
Thanks Anthony ;) I haven’t as yet tried those but the style of lure yes. They’re unreal. Long pauses mate. Big casts and long pauses. ;) be patient with them too, like put a few sessions in. They catch special fish worth waiting for esp. this time of year and into Summer. Go scoping for the best banks and anything around 1m or shallower is perfect.
@@mylurebox awesome thanks champion, I will definitely get out there and give them a go, Thanks for the help, much appreciate and i highly respect your opinion, thanks
so good man love the review. how to do like the footage from the neck mount compared to chest or head mount??? ive always used a chest mount for my footage
Hi mate. It’s great cause you can pull the next mount off straight away to grab a close up or selfy film etc. I get more hands in the road from my chesty than with my neck mount. That’s why I’ve changed. ;)
Hi mate, loved the vid lm so jealous looks like your living the dream with the family good on you. Got a qst regarding what your recommendation are for a bait caster rod, reel line outfit to fish same style you do for Barra jacks etc. I've recently moved up nth to Harvey bay from Victoria and want to start my new found passion for tropical estuary fishing etc. I'm happy to spend approx $600 to start with but if you suggest spending more to get a better combo and why lm open to it. Cheers again and look forward to more vids.
Hi Ryan, be patient and pick your time to try it. Even just practicing shorter skips along open banks is good. Try to give yourself casting space away from your motor etc. patience and the willingness just to cast to improve and learn the feel of it is key as it takes plenty of trial and error to start honing it. I’ve done lots of skip casting videos with how to content on my channel that would also be helpful ;)

I love your passion and excitement. Always gets me pumped to go out fishing! Thanks Mate!
What a beautiful spot . Catching fish would just be a bonus
Spot on Darren ;) there were moments I just watched the place alive with life. Fully overawed at the beauty of it
Great lure retrieval, ha love your work .

Hahaaa. It was brilliant fun Harley ;)
Just found your channel and have been stalking it to find a new vid. Great content 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Stoked to hear it Jarrod ;) cheers
@@mylurebox if you go three cairns again I’ll show you the easy way to throw a castanet in a circle 100% of the time
Absolutely epic fishing mate and gotta get me hands on that lure as it seems to do the trick in turning those fish on. Again, thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼
great river great fish mate. thanks for sharing the adventure
Nice camera work.. and that fishing spot is gorgeous
Just awesome mate. Loving the content
Cheers Shane ;) stoked to hear that. I do miss those flatties too mate.
Awesome variety of fish in there mate and good effort getting that lure back from the shark
Thanks mate. It was a lucky one that’s for sure
Great fishing. I’ve never really ever used lures. Think I’ll give them a go. Thanks champion 😃👍🐟🐟🐟🐟

good review, lucky to get that lure back
Awesome episode mate.
Testament to that lure, took a beating and survived well.
To tally agree mate. It got hammered and kept swimming and catching like a champion.

Mate keep the banger content coming! 🔥Your livin the life out there 🎣
Cheers Xav. It’s been a magic run over here. Such a stunning place ;)
Really enjoyed this video, personally I'd be keeping those sharks as they are delish!
Where abouts are you fishing? Jacks here in the NT have a lot more red on them, interesting yours are predominantly silver.
Hi Bel, we are in WA at the moment. The Jacks can blush and flush their colours too BTW. Almost instantly as they like. It’s amazing to see.
Great video mate well done 👍
Cheers mate. Thanks for tuning in ;)
Jollip lures are great a friend of mine makes them enjoy
Woww nice video and nice cache mj❤ i like it
Thanks ;) stoked you enjoyed it
there is a fish/shark along the mangroves at 0:50

50 second mark top middle right of screen near the mangroves. You see what seems to be an absolute horse of a flatly??
Did anyone notice the large fish cruising in in the water along the bank @ 0.50?
Amazing!! Astig 🤘🤘
Hey mate
Have you got any tips for me on trying to skip cast the same why you were in this video on a boat without a trolling motor.
Hi Ryan, be patient and pick your time to try it. Even just practicing shorter skips along open banks is good. Where u get them lures from please??
