Just bought one of these. Exactly like this one! I absolutely love it! I was looking at a RAV4 and Toyota treated us like we were wasting their time. Went into KIA and couldn’t have asked for a better salesman. Wasn’t even expecting to go to KIA but I drove by and saw the Seltos. Test drove a white one and ended up leaving with the gold one in the showroom. My girlfriend and I are in love with our new Seltos. 0-60mph in around 6 sec! Love the power and AWD handling. I honestly can’t say enough about this car!! KIA is definitely stepping up their game!! I thought I was gonna miss my Mini Cooper S, I was wrong! Sold it!

I hear the IVT transmission in the lower trim levels is really good. Much better than current CVT’s from the Japanese manufacturers. I have never driven a dual clutch transmission but the turbo engine paired with the DCT is probably the way to go in the Seltos. 177 HP vs. 146HP seems like a no brainer. Thoughts anyone? Looking forward to this review! No zonks!! 😂

Mazda went better with a regular engine and a real 6speed trans(no cvt).

I love that Kia keeps doing designs that look like they couldn't decide between two different looks and mashed them together! Makes their cars unique. My only zonks are all the interior plastics (faux leather couldn't be that much more pricey) and the rear tail lights remind me of a Buick SUV.

I know this is an older review but I’m considering buying this vehicle and Raitis rides is the first place I go. Excellent review though I would have liked to hear a bit more about the transmission. One thing I’d like to add. Making Lori a part of the review is a really nice addition. My favorite home electronics you tube channel has a husband and wife review team. He’s a little more tech savvy but she brings a refreshing direct opinion not clouded by numbers and specs. He reviews the equipment first and then she gives her input, uninterrupted, at the end. You two have such great chemistry that it could easily work for your channel too. Keep up the great work. Double stuffs for you.
Padid AZG. It’s not very loud, plus engine sounds waaaay better that a CR-V. No CVT transmission!! Seltos has a 7-speed DCT transmission that helps save gas.

I love what Kia is doing their their SUV's and with the new Cadenza debuting just a couple days ago, Kia is elevating their brand to a whole new level. However, I feel that if Kia is going to be successful in this "premium" market, I think that new logo would be beneficial. In my opinion, I feel that the logo takes away from the overall aesthetic of the vehicle but each their own.
Former Kia Forte 5 owner. I have a Genesis and Veracruz. Also owned a Elentra and Excel. So I know my Korea brands. The car looks great and the MPG is awesome. Was looking at Santa Fe but might give this car a look
You need to mention the fact that Kia and Hyundai don't hold their value. They make great looking cars and sport utility vehicles including the Seltos (what kind of name is that?) but will they last? Lots of used Kia's where I live and used ones are cheap compared to the competition. Why? Who sponsors your videos? You love everything you drive.
Any word on a hybrid version? believe Hyundai is coming out with a new Tucson soon as well as a refreshed Santa Fe - and that both will be getting a hybrid version. Have to imagine Kia will be following suit - in fact I believe I heard that they will be adding a hybrid to the new Sorrento and am hearing that vehicle & it's cousin - the Hyundai Sante Fe hybrid will utilize the same 1.6T engine that's used in the top end Seltos that you'll be telling us about soon. VW utilizes a 1.4 T with it's GTE models - which makes sense to me because - if utilized in conjunction with a small electric supercharger - you can get initial low end grunt from the electric supercharger and allow the regular turbo to kick in later where it's more efficient and you get a fuel efficient turbo set-up with better mid and upper end power than the Atkinson cycle engine set-up favored by Toyota - and I think Honda. Kia & Hyundai are also saying they've developed a better hybrid transmission that's not a CVT - but instead a cross between a dual clutch and a regular automatic with a torque converter.
I really don't understand why in 2020, these type of cars aren't coming out with a hybrid engine standard. It's such a simple concept to place the battery under the rear seats and you increase both fuel economy and horsepower. I'll issue a big zonk for that!
Jon C I don’t want a hybrid. Gas isn’t going anywhere thank goodness. I don’t want hybrids pushed on me and neither does anyone else I talk to in my family or circle of friends from clubs, committees, churches, or boards. Thank you Kia!
I'll be purchasing the sx model in June. I have already drove one and checked them out. They are as nice in person as they are in this video. Thanks for the great review, and great videography. Well done
I've been watching a ton of review-videos in preparation for replacing my 2012 Ford Edge Sport later in 2020. Until this review, my eye has been on a 2018 Volvo XC60 T5 (mostly), hoping that some might come down below $30K by year's end. But the Kia Seltos is brand-spanking new fully loaded for just under $30K! I'm definitely adding that to my list!
I have this model in the same color. It’s so much fun. It’s a happy car. People smile at you! They have somehow made a sub compact that’s great for long journeys and vacations too. Love the trunk design. You can put so much stuff like hiking boots under the floor of the trunk keeping the main area neat and tidy for your suitcases. I waited for this car in this color. So nearly got the Hyundai Kona in the electric orange while waiting. When I saw this in the yellow/ black I just knew I had to have it. It is absolutely gorgeous.
latinbeandip Price’s are lower compared to other brands coz KIA is exporting cars that are manufactured in India... Kia started one of their largest Manufacturing plant In India and SELTOS is the first to come out of that plant.
Great review Joe. Surprised that all that Tech comes in at under 30K. Moving to the Philippines sometime later this year, and this just may be the one to buy. Thanks for sharing and look forward to the next ride, cheers...
Andrew Scarella The ‘single guy’ comment only meant that I’m not in the market for a big family hauler because I don’t have a family to haul around. I’m definitely looking to get out of my Mazda3 hatch though, and into an SUV of some sort. The Seltos could be a good fit for me but I’ll have to see it in person first.
joya08 Baez Not yet, there are so many new things coming our way soon I decided to wait for a bit. Really interested in the updated Nissan Rogue, and the new Ford Bronco and Buick Encore GX.

That is so very awesome Mickal. I am glad that you enjoyed this Seltos. We really loved bringing it to you! I also appreciate you showing Lori some love!
You are welcome Joe. It was my pleasure to mention Lori. She was real with her review just like you were. She had kept up with your movements. Which we know is hard to do.
This car is really amazing .. It competes with Kona in specs but with Creta, eclipse & HRV in space.. However, its 1.6L engine is really weak.. I'm sure the turbo engine is way much butter.. But in some countries they have decided to go with 1.6L only which sadly lowers the car..
If they could add at least: the 201 hp 1.6, the moss green color of the telluride, the rims with equivalent black color, and the regular lower lip that the seltos has in the UK markets....it would be the undisputed king of this segment.
I like the style designs of the new kias and I want to buy one but I’m not too sold on the long term reliability. My 2003 Sorento gave me a lot of problems past 130k miles.
Luis Alas They have come a long way since then. They actually test drive every vehicle that comes off the line. Every vehicle. They have made leaps and bounds in reliability. And they have a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.
What a great place and weather to test the capability of an SUV. AWD, DCT, large cargo space, the Seltos is whole package. Forget about those CVT equipped small SUVs, DCT/auto gears means business you know what I'm talking about. BTW Joe and Lori you guys did a great job! This channel is getting better and better.
Believe it or not, as a Kia salesman, even the small SUV's are great at road noise. To give you a comparison, in 2018 the base model Kia Optima was quieter on the highway than a 80k Volvo S90. Same goes for the Kia Niro, even with its low weight and fuel economy focus, Kia lineup is solid.
I must say I love your reviews!!! Your reviews helped me decide between the Compass and the Seltos, but when I got to the dealership I left with a 2020 Sportage. Keep 'em coming!!! Btw I love knowing how many twinkies I can fit in those spaces lol

Thanks to you raiti's rides, you have the best car reviews. I love this seltos man❤️💖
I was gonna buy the kia soul but after seeing this, I'm leaning more toward this new car. Hyundai and kia came a long way.
This is the way to go Dylan!
This reminds me of the Volvo XC 40... but the lower trims doesn’t look as good as the SX without those LED headlights.
Thats exactly what I said. The profile looks like a XC 40. and the interior irs pretty good for the price
Kia making all these other brands sweat with these killer low prices tho!!
You are so very right!
latinbeandip Price’s are lower compared to other brands coz KIA is exporting cars that are manufactured in India...
I'm a single guy looking to upgrade to an SUV, think this one might be perfect for me. Thanks for the review!
You'll get double-takes from the ladies, fo sho! :)
What qualities are you looking for in a woman?
Andrew Scarella The ‘single guy’ comment only meant that I’m not in the market for a big family hauler because I don’t have a family to haul around. I’m definitely looking to get out of my Mazda3 hatch though, and into an SUV of some sort. The Seltos could be a good fit for me but I’ll have to see it in person first.
Shawn B did you get to see this car?
joya08 Baez Not yet, there are so many new things coming our way soon I decided to wait for a bit. Really interested in the updated Nissan Rogue, and the new Ford Bronco and Buick Encore GX.
I wish I've could of afforded this trim, but I got the LX version, still looks amazing and can't wait to get it on monday
I’m one of your new subscribers. I’m impressed with your review. I will be test driving one soon. Also want to Thank your lovely wife’s videography and her review. It made me a believer in the review of the Seltos👍🏾
What a beauty, loving the curves and the specs, the colour combination is simply great too. Wow....KIA, you impressed me
I love watching every new vehicle you bring .Please we need the all new Rhino GX review
How come it's weak? Wtf. Look, 175 HP, AWD, Turbocharged engine, 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission.
@@marinerchris I'm talking about the 1.6L regular FWD not the turbo charged
@@noura.darwish No such thing. Base engine is 2.0 and not weak at all.
@@catinhotlanta off course 2.0 engine is perfect
But unfortunately, it's launched in our country with 1.6L engine NOT turbocharged
How can anyone dislike this video? You give so much info and go into detail of any car you review.
Kia , Hyundai and Ram pickups are on fire with sales..thumbs up Raiti..
How about quiet? How quiet is this vehicle at 70 miles an hour
I love my Seltos! It has made driving fun again
I would clear the flat black door pillars... Love the metallic yellow!
It will be interesting to see how this compares with the cx-30, given they have similar power and torque numbers
I totally agree with you!
I have heard that this thing has a disastrous transmission and really clunky/jarring shifts. Thoughts on this Raiti?
I think it really depends on who you as. I haven't witnessed anything. People who are not familiar with a DCT transmission.
Ok this guy is funny with the things he likes to keep in his cars
Thanks Anthony for letting me share the laughs with you!
The Mazda CX 30 seems to be the leader in this class this would be a great one to compare against
This car has shaken the Indian car market and has clocked big numbers. Car offered in India are with lower Engine and trim options at lower prices.
That is really interesting Jayan.
Love that you review a variety of affordable vehicles
Thanks for saying that!
Can’t wait to see 200k subs!
MrTURNUP that really means a lot.
I must say I love your reviews!!! Your reviews helped me decide between the Compass and the Seltos, but when I got to the dealership I left with a 2020 Sportage. Keep 'em coming!!! Btw I love knowing how many twinkies I can fit in those spaces lol
Love to see you and Lorie together. Love to watch your videos, I'm a 60-something women and find them so entertaining and get a laugh with your snack food references. Raiti's Rides rocks. Hummm maybe I need some Raiti's gear.
Your the reason I bought for 2021 seltos sx yesterday! Love your videos
Watched a couple of car reviews from this channel. Great detail and excellent info. Thank you.
What about 360 Degree camera and Headup Display feature and smart air purifier ? This features are available in Indian model trims and actually very useful
You forgot to test the smart cruise control and drive assist. It is the best feature that this vehicle has.
Thank you, Joe for this review! You absolutely crushed it again!
I will be looking at the SX model this year. Upgrading from a Ford Focus. I am also 6'7'' and I heard I would be able to fit in it!
You will!
Kia makes cars for tall people nowadays. I'm 6'4" and have way more than enough room in my Soul to fit comfortably. A lot easier than in my Golf GTI
If I get a new car, I too would be trading in my 2012 Ford Focus SEL Hatchback. I am going to miss that control panel...I loved it
Love the color. Another great review . Joe your killing it man.
Bought my Keltos last weekend.. love it !! My first Kia and not disappointed
not a single review or even the Kia website mentions towing capacity... is it not meant to tow?
Toyota, honda, nissan, mazda, hyundai and kia are great.
You are so very right!
I love your car review videos. Glad you included your wife too. I saw and test drove the 2020 Turbo and fell in love. I’m praying I can get it this September.
❤ IT!! GONNA give others a run for there 💵!!
iamin youout you better believe it.
I wonder do car designers start off with 3 bags of skittles , handfuls of twinkies , 3 cans of Pringle’s , couple of hohos , an abacuses, a comb set and a back scratcher, when they all fit in the car they know it’s going to be a hit.
Shane Clifford yes they do! I wish Lol 😂
When does it drop here in the US?
They are already hitting Dealerships now.
Thank you for the nice review , I'm looking into the seltos , really like it
