I almost spelled my daughter's name like that, but decided to go with the way it was spelled, Jacque (Jacqueline). haven't heard about this incident before, but I had heard of one where on a trip to Japan, Phillip's attentions to a geisha so infuriated the Queen that security was in a tizzy trying to arrange separate bedrooms for the couple. However, the late great JFK DID indeed have a number affairs and Jackie knew about them! She apparently said decades later that she was glad JFK lived to the hilt because he himself didn't think he would live past his 40s given his health issues and threats of assassination!

There are many historians that talk about his feeling of inadequacy! His children weren't even supposed to carry his name but then they decided only the children not in line for the throne would carry his name.
He had to walk behind her, ride behind her and bow to her. The queen mother hated him and questioned his masculinity as head of his own family and refused to move from their home when Elizabeth became queen, interfering in their relationship. Elizabeth always referred to parliaments ideas over her husband's when she could have incorporate them or used her husbands progressive ideas to make the crown more "friendly" to its "subjects".
He greatly resented all that, which is why she allowed the carriage carrying his body to lead the procession and she was driven behind him.
I guess his resentment pushed him to affairs and also the talk about how handsome he was in his younger years and the queen was considered matronly. We dont know what went on behind closed doors but look at what the son did to Diana...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

I think everyone male and female has a “roaming eye”. When I’ve been in relationships I look at hot guys, difference is I normally say to my bf (single atm, so ex bf’s lol) “He’s a good looking guy”. Being a major Francophile and what we know about Jack and Jackie especially about her from Jackie's post assassination interviews which were made public only relatively recently, the ONLY thing I DON'T believe about this is Jackie trying to apologize or blaming drugs or anything!!! She has never apologized for anything! Jackie could be very mean and catty behind people's backs. Jackie considered herself to be very TOF. Philip was a flirt (although that was as far as it ever went, I'm sure) and Jackie was a HUGE HUGE flirt. And well, Jack we all know about. Jack and Jackie were a modern, rich, glamorous, adored superstar couple who had far more press and cultural influence than the Royals in those days. Naturally QE2 would feel a bit humiliated, if this did indeed happen, and it may have seemed so, as Jackie was an enchantress. Jack encouraged it. The Royals must have appeared stodgy, silly, and dull to the Americans; very irrelevant. Global Royal mania only happened in modern times with Lady Diana Spencer.

She had no need to talk about another woman like that, unless she was flawless herself, which she was far from.The only one glowing in those pics is the Queen with her gorgeous English rose skin. The Netflix series “The Crown” makes many claims , infers many moods and moments , which they , the producers and Peter Morgan in principal, know to be without any substance , truth and foundation. They have protected themselves from Writs for Defamation by claiming the series to be a fictionalised account . Cleverly, this was included in the VERY SMALL PRINT of their disclaimers. Therefore, the majority did not see it , let alone read it. Highly unethical and duplicitous conduct .

The Queen’s dress is more like a prom dress for a high school girl here and Jackie’s dress looks like high fashion glamor but I don’t believe this took place. Jackie might have asked to see the house because she was interested in restoring the old Whitehouse to its former glory because it was dilapidated and needed refurbished when she moved in. She would have thought that Jack’s back would have prevented him from walking all over and the heads of state needed to talk, the Queen and the President. I think they are causing trouble on purpose.

No!!. Grace and Rainier were never happy. Jackie liked a quiet private life that is why!! She spoke fluent French, Italian and Spanish. She would have fit in Monaco. Grace was never happy there. They both married well known men but Jackie seemed a better fit with Rainier and Grace with Jack. Poor Grace would have had to put up with Jacks monstrous infidelity though. Rainiers was not close to the degree of Jacks cheating.

Prince Philip was hot and very flirtatious. Yet, he has always been very protective of the Queen. It is said that Prince Philip doesn't like to see his wife in distress.

That is not true….the series indicated QEII LIKED Mrs. Kennedy and had positive interaction with her until she learned the very unclassy behavior of disrespect towards both the Queen and Buckingham Palace by the wife of President Kennedy at a private party. QEII, in service to the people of the UK, set the matter right by showing her international skill by dancing with the President of Ghana to solidify the Comminwealth, and by granting Mrs. Kennedy’s request for a private audience by inviting her to Windsor for a chat.
The arrival of Mrs. Kennedy at Windsor is my favorite scene in the entire series.
QEII continued to show her leadership by tolling the bells in London on the death of the US President.
