Felt just as quick and responsive as the Q5 just less total bells and whistles I never really used anyway and the Tiguan interior lighting and wireless charging and CarPlay was something the Q5 didn’t have… Now at $400 a month less on the lease payment it was a no brainer for me.Ordered it asap getting it next week..In my opinion the Tiguan R line looks better than the Q5
The problem with the US models is that Audi is a part of the parent company so they won't push for a faster Tiguan as they want you to buy the Q5. In Australia, they have the R-line that gets up to 316hp. Not to mention the US models are years behind my old 2016 Tiguan which was shocking when I moved here and brought one with 1/2 the features. Still love the car though just wish it was on par with what I use to have.
You can pass cars with relative ease on the highway with the R-line black Tiguan. I bought one 3 months ago. The lack of horse power is a myth basically. People see sub 200 HP and it's automatically written off as a chump engine. A V-6 engine doesn't perform a whole lot different than a turbo 4 engine. Everyone wants more HP, but it's really overrated in terms of what people need out of it. Do you want to race muscle cars, or do you simply need enough power to accelerate and pass vehicles on the highway to get to where you need to go.
@@iswish_41 I just leased a 2023 Tiguan R line and it does not come with automatic lift gate since at the time of production there was a chip shortage. In the future I’m assuming they will continue to include automatic lift gates.
You pay over $35K, and you don’t get upgraded speed limit monitor that they have in Audi. At this point add extra 5K and buy an Audi. Seriously, it’s a scam.
@@vwguru costumers pay 35K for an R line 2023 with half of the specs. Find 2021 Audi Q5 for 35K. Im about to buy a new car. Currently I have VW Passat 2013 SE, and I was thinking about buying Tiguan. I see the price and specs, it goes up to 40K. I Better buy an Audi

@@sulaimansafi5457good points but for me the main draw with young kids was the third row for carting around friends of my kids when car pooling. Hard to find that with the SE-R line for ~35 new in a European maker

Right now, only the Tiguan SEL R-Line comes with a power liftgate. Ordering one MAY get around that.

my window was broke in and the alarm didnt trigger. Or is the Tiguan equipped with a security feature to alarm in case of window or door break ins?

It was exactly 200 hp on that engine the fuel economy was what did that engine in. Plus, it required premium fuel.

Chip shortage affects that. Normally, it WOULD have a power liftgate.
