If the left proposes a Obama/Romneycare they're communists, and if they propose an entirely public health care system then they're... communists. So why not go all way, imo.
@joseph ramirez thanks for restoring my faith in humanity slightly
Ah, 2004 vintage. From the simple pre-UA-cam/Facebook/Twitter/Reddit years when Newgrounds flash cartoons, 4chan, Deviantart, Myspace, Kazaa and YTMND were king.
This Flash animation looks a little shabbier than I used to remember though.
I swear I see this Vinesauce channel in every comment section.
4chan started ruling around 2006..
4chan was later, about the same time youtube showed up, maybe a bit before.

Can we go back to both sides being able to take criticism without catastrophizing every disagreement? Man I am done with modern politics.
We also need to go back to when political humor/satire wasn't toxic and everything wasn't politicized.

This is what we need to bring back. Satirical humor that goes both ways, not left nor right.
I can really appreciate how JibJab didn't pick sides. Especially in the comparison to the 2020 election
Whoever thought we'd miss the days of that election?
Nicecatholicgirl It was a more tasteful time
I know I miss those days... very much so...
The 2004 election previewed a lot of what was to come. The Swiftboat campaign against John Kerry was probably the point when alternative facts completely took over the Republican Party. It was the blueprint for what the GOP did to Obama and an instructive lesson that people would believe constructed alternative realities if it suited their partisan preferences.

I miss the old days of 2004. People weren't as divided
Everything fell apart when obamacare passed 2010. That piece of shit legislation was passed by only one party vote. Then add Obama's identity politics.... And we get the present day.
emotionscomeandgo Yeah because republicans disinformation campaign worked and everyone thought the world was going to end because 20 million people got insurance
David Lyn Jr yeah because Fox News had them hyped up on war and freedumb, and liberals thought that conservatives would calm down.
Instead they doubled down under Obama.
Reading this comment and thinking and Chuckles warmly to himself...bullshit the country was as divided may not have been divided as it right now but still as divided as hell
This nation has and will always be divided on party lines, and it always has until something catastrophic happened that hurt America the most. Something like the Revolution, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 united the people against a common enemy, but at the cost of a war and American blood spilt. It’s not a bad thing that we are divided and we just have to do the best we can. Very few people will change their opinion because of an online argument anyways so there is no point
I remember laughing at this as a kid without really knowing fully what was going on. So innocent.

@Zachary William Naive child. Always bringing a short sighted, biased, political statement with nothing to add to the conversation. ifly made a general comment on everyones cost. And you, the Trump puppet you are, had to ruin it.
@Zachary William Referencing to my previous comment.
@Zachary William Dodge questions? Well, if anything, you just stumbled in your own word pile of trash. Allow me to correct you. You made an assumption. There is no question to dodge. However, if I were to take stance in response to your assumptions, it would still be arbitrary, as you made them for the mere purpose of provocation. Which is… low. Again, I am referencing my first comment. I think you should not dodge reading it. Or you will dodge the point this time also.
@Zachary William You seem to be agitated by the fact that my arguments still stand firmly. It is not hard to be right when there is nothing to prove me wrong. Only provocations. Countering my points with childish taunts just proves to me that I do not need to say more. Your responses show me that you either do not read or comprehend what I say. Let me put it this way: It is not easy getting through a brick wall when your tool is a wood stick. I can do this all day and still be correct and factual, while you will never get out of this digression. And what are you rambling about? Education and graduation? Just some silly attempt at personal attacks. Lastly, I do not need a solid point. You just throw sh*t. I can just keep my moral high ground and integrity forever. Now pick it up and throw something I can dodge for once.
Even after all these years, the line "You can't say nuclear. That really scares me" makes me laugh
