I recently moved to Washington DC and heard about this company from a friend. I've been getting the mini veggie harvest weekly for a month. I love it! Sometimes their produce is wrapped in plastic bags, so not zero waste, but they're working on it. The ink on their boxes is sustainable! I got my box for this week today, and I'm excited to use it. I got a ton of book choy a couple weeks ago and I made a pesto (vegan of course, as well as oil free using the avocado from my box) that turned out amazing.
Amazing that you worked with this company! If possible you should make more video's with them because it's so important what they do: fighting food waste! To bad they do not have something like this in belgium! Love that you are spreading their mission and also good that you put on the screen why the veggies are rejected, it is very educational!
Yass! We have something similar in Germany called "Etepetete" which basically means dainty, because in the end it there is no such thing as imperfect produce. As long as it tastes good, it is perfect!
I usually never find ‘what i eat in a day’ videos inspiring but I love yours! So clean and natural and easy. Love them!! I really hope Hungry Harvest makes it to the west coast soon.
The rejection reason “too small” made me laugh. I’m from Europe, and recently lived in the US for half a year and I was surprised at how big the different veggies were. So the “too small”-sizes you show is basically normal size in Europe, haha.
You work so hard to constantly be putting out videos so much you deserve a break❤️ I look forward to seeing your videos and amazing personality each week and it much be a lot posting so much so take a break if you need because you’ve been so constant with content 😊
yessss! I've seen documentaries on organizations who have been trying to save imperfect produce and reselling it to low-income communities but I didn't know some started a delivery service to others in need! Awesome collab Caitlin :) And that fried quinoa veggie bow looks delicious
Yes! I get a similar box from a company called Imperfect Produce based in San Francisco. They're expanding to larger cities on the West Coast and the Midwest. Another good option if it's in your area.
Love the concept, saves so much unnecessary waste ! I'm on board with ads that actually serve a purpose. Thanks for raising awareness to this issue, I'm actually sad that I can't take advantage of this haha, haven't seen anything like this in Europe ! I know you can get "rejects" fruits and vegetables for cheap in certain areas in my country but I haven't done enough research yet
Good to take part in a food rescue project. We have similar projects in Britain and hopefully they are helping reduce food waste. I always do my fruit and vegetables shopping weekly so it is always used and fresh. I have been vegan for 10 months, another two and it will be a year being vegan.
Your videos have been so helpful for me lately! I will be vegan for 1 month on Sunday and I’m so happy!! I have been binge watching your videos these past couple of days and I can’t stop lol💓✨
Wow this is such an incredible concept! Grocery store waste is such a big problem, I love this! They don't deliver in my area but they do in my parents so I sent this to my mom!
In case people on the west coast are wondering about something like this, I live in California and my mom gets stuff from this place called Imperfect Goods! It's basically the same idea but she gets to choose everything that goes in the box and the budget!
I only came across your channel around 6 months ago so I’ve been on catch up ever since. Just watched Your vlog on dropping out of school 😮 I cried with you so strong and honest you should be really proud of yourself for taking control and working towards your dreams. Hugs hunni keep up the fab work 😚
I'm almost certain I saw this company on Shark Tank hahah I love your videos! You were a lifesaver when I first went vegan and had no idea what I was doing haha
I am obsessed with the concept of this company. Genius idea. If it were available in my area I would 💯% be on board. I will search for a similar company here in Western Colorado.
Those mini sweet peppers are my favourite vegetables, im so jealous of how many you got because they can be really expensive where I live. Mini peppers and mini cucumbers make the vest snacks!
I found your channel just yesterday! Going to make my way through watching all your "what I eat in a day' videos! So sad they don't deliver in Boise, Idaho! Soon I hope!
hi I would like to say your video's are helping me stay vegan by giving me ideas on what to make for meals and how to prepare them thank you soooo much
Hi Caitlin, I've really been loving your recipes, but I can't make a lot of them, because I'm in a student home and I don't have an oven or a food processer/blender at hand... I was hoping you could do some more 'simple' recipes like the fried quinoa, because you're such an inspiration :) Love from Belgium xx
Thanks for the recommendation of a produce service! I was looking for something relatively inexpensive while still getting my vegetables and fruits. Thanks!
Omg I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! I didn’t know if you were going to say “incorporated” or not! It wasn’t until the end this time - I was almost worried 😂
Hey Caitlin! I just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing the 1 giant mind meditation app. I just tried it and it was amazing. I had no idea how deep I could get into it and how much better I feel.
I'm looking into this. Most of that like the cabbage you showed at the beginning we don't have. Thanks for posting this video. :) Too bad they don't deliver in southern Missouri. Sighs. Oh well. All recipes looked yummy.
So nice that you have a service that sells imperfect produce at a better price that the conventional stores! We would definitely use something like that here too! And as a recipe developer you use a lot of things too, because you're always testing new stuff... Or is just me? Because my husband sometimes asks for the foods he was used to (veganized, of course) :))
way to go!! love how crafty you are in the kitchen. you inspire me. i'm doing some kid friendly plant based recipe vids, shot with my kids ! would love to know what you think. rock on..
I loved this video! Also, in California we have a company called Imperfect Produce that’s pretty much the same concept :) I totally recommend it, since the company you mentioned doesn’t ship here!
Hi Caitlin, first of all, I love your videos. Second, I want to say that this is not a sponsored ad and I just thought of you when I just opened my mail from today lol. I just wanted to mention a company I decided to try called Brandless. I heard an ad on youtube the other day. I placed an order on Thursday for some organic and non-gmo items. None of them are listed as vegan but the only thing I noticed in the ingredients were that the soup I bought has milk. But I got a lot of new things to try because everything on their site is $3 or less. Might want to check it out if you haven't. I also got $1 shipping with a code "hello". Sorry for the long post, I just thought you might be interested. Take care!! :)
Im not sure if you already made a video about this but im trying to go vegan myself and ive noticed its been very hard for me and i have a difficult time sticking with it which us sad to me because i use to be vegan at one point then i fell off i was wondering if you or anyone else would have some kind of advice! Please and thank you! I love your videos by the way😊😊
Hey Caitlin. Did you get Hot For Food aka Lauren's new cookbook? Would love to hear your thoughts on it and if you like any of the comfort food things. :)
Here in England many supermarkets sell 'wonky veg boxes' , basically ugly veggies most people wouldn't buy get put in a box. What's inside is a mystery but it's super cheap and tastes just as good!
Oh Caitlin I cannot tell you how delicious & on point these all looked! I was cooking a vegan red lentil dahl for my dinner & thought, dahl smhal id rather eat what Caitlin’s cooked! 😂
Awesome! I love your channel! Keep it up! Also, how did you link your social media profiles to your youtube cover pic? That's so cool!!! I'd love to know how to do that!
Look up produce rescues in your area before you order because they are all over the place and if you do it locally you'll reduce your the carbon impact of you food because it will not need to be transported as far
Hungry Harvest, unfortunately, does not deliver to where I live...but you just reminded me that I can look into signing up for a CSA food share when my local farmers market opens back up!

Thanks for being our hero!
I love the concept of imperfect produce! And that fried quinoa looks so good! 😍

It is interesting that the vegetables deemed too small in your country are the standard size in mine 😊 a very good initiative!

olivia1910 The UA-camr sustainable vegan talks about a box of wonky fruits and vegetables she gets called Odd Box in England. I hope this helps!
I know this video is about food but you're such a natural beauty!
aw thank you!

When you said $27 I legit threw my hands up because I thought it was going to be like $60.

that's awesome! glad to see it's happening all over the world :)
"Rejected" because "too small"??! *facepalm*
those reasons for rejecting the produce are SO RIDICULOUS!
We agree :D
If hungry harvest, comes to Tennessee! I'll totally do it.
I hope they'll expand soon to other locations, it sounds like such a great company!
I love love loooove your videos and amazing food ideas as someone who is starting her Vegan journey, it’s super helpful
Your videos have been so helpful for me lately! I will be vegan for 1 month on Sunday and I’m so happy!! I have been binge watching your videos these past couple of days and I can’t stop lol💓✨

Thanks for the video, Caitlin. Signed up for the waitlist since they do not operate in Tampa, FL as of yet.
Love these recipes! Can’t wait to try them. And thanks so much for sharing that great review about the produce box 👍🏽
I really love the "imperfectly produce" thing! Sooo amazing.💕
I'm almost certain I saw this company on Shark Tank hahah
I love your videos! You were a lifesaver when I first went vegan and had no idea what I was doing haha
Katesbookdate. It was on Shark Tank. I remember watching it.
I am obsessed with the concept of this company. Genius idea. If it were available in my area I would 💯% be on board. I will search for a similar company here in Western Colorado.
My grocery store has mini sections with misfits is what they consider them of different veggies and fruits it’s pretty cool!
As soon as I finished this video I went and made the cauliflower cashew sauce!!! SO GOOD!❤ Thank you!
I hope more businesses like this grow/expand because it makes so much sense! I'd love it if Indiana would get with the program.
So sad this doesn't deliver to my area! What a great concept
This is such a cool company!!! Thank you for sharing it with us
Those mini sweet peppers are my favourite vegetables, im so jealous of how many you got because they can be really expensive where I live. Mini peppers and mini cucumbers make the vest snacks!
Wow! Thanks for the tip, I often buy discounted produce but I have to go out of my way to look for them, this is easier.
I found your channel just yesterday! Going to make my way through watching all your "what I eat in a day' videos! So sad they don't deliver in Boise, Idaho! Soon I hope!

All the food you made in this vid looks so good🙌🏼
I'd be reluctant to try a second-hand produce service but you've successfully opened me up to the idea
Hungry Harvest is an amazing idea. I would definitely use it if I lived in America.
