    OMG, I just made some no egg, eggs for breakfast this morning...they were YUMMY...I made mine out of Tofu, and I've seen people also use chickpea flour and well

    Kala namak salt loses it's fragrance when heated or blend with other ingredients, it's better to add it at the end.

    Thank You Michelle, excellent video can wait to try it. Just Egg in NJ now costs $7.99-$8.99 & I refuse to buy it. It use to run between $3.99-$5.99. And yes Black Salt is very hard to find, many of our Whole Foods & Trader Joes haven't heard of it. I've never tried it because I can't find it.😊

    I make this exact same recipe at least twice a week! I just use chickpea flour instead of mung beans. it is soooo delicious but it took some practice to get the cooking time/heat and flipping right. love it! I add all kinds of veggies and mushrooms when I have time.

    I added 1 tsp vegetable oil and 1/4 tsp corn starch. 1/4 garlic and onion powder. Taste almost like Just Eggs! Next time more water

    You must have heard me. 😅I promised myself that this weekend I would make this recipe …I have watched several videos where they’ve made the omelette with mung beans. Thanks for the tip about not having to soak the beans…this is definitely a cheaper version of the Just Egg liquid which seems to be getting pricier. I got my mung beans from Amazon but I recently saw them at my local Asian market City Market…in Snellville, GA. I think Nam DAE also stocks these beans.🌱🌱🌱🌱

    What is the consistency? I did it and it was floury....i am foing to try it again. Also I found black salt for the low at Indian market on the southside of ATL...thanks still waiting on your sourdough bread recipe 😊

      @@toniemapson3659 ok …the consistency will be firm but depending on what you add to it like onions maybe tomatoes etc will loosen it up a bit. Another follower said she added a little coconut oil and she got more of the Just Egg consistency. The sourdough is coming I’m trying to perfect it before I share 👍🏽

    For the life of me, I cannot find the yellow mung beans. The green ones are easy and I always have them handy. I don’t mind if my omelete is green, but will it taste like the yellow omelete? Or should I say “Sam I am?”

    Are nonstick pans healthy to use? Thanks for sharing the recipe. The sodium was a little too high for me. I would have to adjust that. I try to stay under 100 mg.

Try to select non toxic ceramic coated or ceramic coated cast iron like the Red Chef brand I’m using in this video or sometimes the Caraway brand👍🏽 I understand the salt issue that’s why I prefer to mostly cook at home because I can adjust the salt depending on my work out regimen and water loss due to sweat 👍🏽🤗

    Hi! Newbie here, just dipping toes into the WFPB way of eating. You mentioned you added “cheese” to your omelette. I am assuming it was vegan cheese, but I know nothing about good ones, not as good ones,etc. Any recommendations? TYIA. This recipe sounds wonderful, btw. And love that it’s quick & easy.

    Tfs! Simple enough. I'm trying to get away from oil n butter. I noticed you used butter(vegan) in a nonstick pan. Lol! Do you think the mixture would stick to your nonstick pan without using butter? Have you tried cooking without butter/oil since you said nonstick is a must?

    SO ! let me ask you this ! CAN you sub RED lentils for the yellow mung beans? I have alot of red lentils I need to use up. I looked it up online and they stated that red lentils were very similar to the yellow split mung bean. Do you think this would work in your recipe? Thanks

    Are Mung beans the only bean used as a substitute for eggs . The Just Egg Company uses Mung Beans in their product.

      @@alesiasled4253 I find right now this is the best substitute for the plant based eggs. The fact that Just egg uses it in their egg product was the reason I thought to make this video to show you can make it without preservatives and waayyy less expensive 👍🏽
