According to the doctors that advocate whole food plant based diet, Type II diabetes is caused by the intramyocellular lipids, the fat droplets in your liver and muscle cells, that gum up your insulin receptors, making it difficult for glucose to make it into your cells. tomatoes can affect certain arthritic conditions like gout, which can increase the uric acid in the body, thus causing more inflammation. :( But they dont affect everyone the same way.
