This was a fabulous special. Patti never was one of those pretentious stars, because she always knew she was one if musics greatest singers even it took the world decades to acknowledge it. No ego she was never scared to collaborate with others and let them shine. One of the great Divas!
Cindy and Patti's version of Time After Time was brilliant!!!! Cindy is an underrated singer and they way that Patti brilliantly colored her notes echoing her was just breath taking!
Being a singer myself using Patti's "vocal style" as my template. I have to say that Cyndi SERIOUSLY held her own singing with her. Patti has such a POWERFUL voice there just isn't many singers out there that can gel with her especially during a duet. But i was VERY impressed with Cyndi's ability to do so. Very beautiful harmonization between the two divas.
Yall act like Cyndi can't sing or something. She's been great for decades, so I don't see how this is shocking, and she's a lyric soprano, she sings higher than Patti who is a dramatic soprano, the lowest soprano type.

Years later, as expected, the tape didn't play very well so I searched online to see if it was being sold on DVD. When that didn't work out, I wrote to Patti/Patti's management team BEGGING for a copy...no such luck. I've found snippets of the show on UA-cam but you are the only one I've found who uploaded the entire show. I've seen Patti in concert several times and she never disappoints! This was a wonderful showcase for her and a few friends, and they really turned it out for the limited time they had. So again I say - THANK YOU!!!
