Baku as the capital of the Armenian empire... That is indeed cursed AF
The Georgian kingdom with it’s capital in Baku led by Armenians, truly a Caucasian union
Blessed***
At least everyone gets represented in 1 video. No hate only love
He started in Ganja, so doubly cursed
Kurds also show up around here at least when I was playing as Armenia. I found a Kurdish doctor with excellent ability. Now I’m curious if forming Kurdistan is possible in CK3 I never knew there was Kurds tbh in CK3.
10:16 "He will be remembered as a submissive, sometimes breedable ruler."
God, I love my dyslexia.
🤨
Nah I think you just wanted that hard to see it
🤨
50 shades of Armenia
Those events you keep getting that kill or incapacitate your characters are called 'Harm Events', their frequency can be apparently reduced in the settings, but the most important detail to know is that you should almost always get an ominous event before them, to warn you of what might happen so that you can, for example, get you succession figured out.
ohh that makes sense! ill definitely have to start keeping an eye our for them haha, I seem to be getting them alot
@@SnapStrategyI noticed that aswell and when I was in the settings it's put on high by default, so better turn it down to normal and not high
the goal is to be inpredictable like in real life so it's good if you can't figure out the succession because you didn't expect to die
One day Snap will pronounce Byzantine correctly but today is not that day.
Ill slowly convert everyone to saying it the same as me
Yeah it's pronounced "Eastern Roman", or "Roman" for short.
8:14 he became independent because he is an exclave and the Abbasid emperor died and on default rules AI rulers lose e calves upon death.
Really? I didn’t know that!
oh damn! i had no idea about that lmao! thankyou haha!!
This is my favourite empire to form, probably because it’s one of the hardest. I’ve done it 867, I want to try it in 1066 soon which will probably be a lot harder
Yeah its really fun! and its a nice change, as i dont often play there!
The borders aren’t historical at all though
Tigranes would be proud
🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
I love playing in this region. It's very challenging and dynamic with three great powers at your borders and hostile religions everywhere.
Yeah for sure! plus the risk of all 3 of them makes it really intense haha
Amazing commentary I find myself rewatching certain videos to have you playing in the background while I game. Top tier UA-camr, appreciate how often you post too
This is one of the most satisfying decisions in the game. You should try that Jewish Rabbanic guy in Khazaria in 867 and do the restore Israel decision. It's super hard to do
Try it without switching faiths and staying feudal
Someone mentioned that start a while back! its been on my list! but pairing with forming Israel could be really fun! will 100% do this, Thankyou!!
I personally *LOVE* the harm events. I get why others maybe don't but I adore anything that makes the game less "boardgame-like"
Yeah i get it! Im still like 50/50 on them for now!
RE: Why your duchy capital went independent @8:03 or so - there is a game rule dealing with exclave independence. Basically, upon succession if a territory is not adjacent or sea-tile connected to existing territory, it can become independent. The specifics of when this happens depend on your rule setting - but most likely the explanation is a succession in the Abbasids.
Thats crazy! im surprised i never noticed the enclave thing before haha! but that will be really useful to know in future! Thankyou!
The Armenians are really old people group they've been around since the days of ancient Assyria and both of those good people survived everything what has happened over three thousand years in the Middle East
can you do the restoration of the sassnid empire starting as the zoroastrian guy from the sassnid dynasty
I did a run as Armenia last year where I conquered all of the Caucuses, Arabia and Egypt, had my Dynasty ruling the Byzantine Empire and pretty much every Western Christian kingdom/empire, all of which had convert to Apostolic and most having cultures hybridized or diverged from Armenian. Also I was never a vassal in that run. Was a fun run. Currently doing a Poland run, I've reformed Slovianskan Pravda, feudalised and United the West Slavs, looking to Unite all the Slavs, All of Scandinavia and a lot of the steppe already follow the Slavic religion. (Ironman mode ONLY.)
Not sure if you knew this but if you take and fully control the kingdoms of Jerusalem, Georgia, Syria, Pontus and Anatolia as well as the duchies of Daylam and Zanjan they will also be included in the de jure borders of Greater Armenia.
8:10 - Exclave independence gamerule, it's very helpful in chopping off little bordergore exclaves/enclaves
I know in CK2 these events mostly fired when your character was going to die anyways to give you more to RP with and to have alternate endings. Wouldn't be surprised if also in CK3.
Hit and miss with the Harm events.
It's alright since they can affect the AI as much as they affect you and I guess it does shake things up. I also feel better at least knowing why they happen and reading up on them to work out what gives you better chances to avoid them. If I choose to ignore them anyway, that's my problem but at least I know what made me more likely to be hit by a plant pot while out for a stroll, or falling off bloody horses.
But it is irritating when you spend a lot of time creating a ruler, setting up your domain with early game stuff only to die six years in and be left with a toddler for a ruler which just sets you back an age.
I like that the death events prune out AI characters so that there aren't a bunch of 80-year-old rulers running around, so I always play with the death events turned off for me, heh heh
At multiple points in the video you seem to have the wrong information on how holy wars work. Firstly, rulers can't join offensive holy wars of their faith without an alliance unlike for defensive holy wars against their faith. Secondly, the characters that would join a defensive holy war against you appear bellow the casus belli list when selecting a holy war casus belli so you know who will join and can plan accordingly.
Yeah doesn't surprise me! even with all this time in ck3 there's still so much for me to learn haha.
That 2nd part especially will be incredibly useful to know! I thought there was just a chance of nearby rulers getting involved! but will remember that, Thankyou so much!!
An arminian video, and the first thing you say is let's move the capital to azerbaijan, that might be offensive hahaha
Love how you could have diplo-vassalised Abkhazia for abot half a century after forming Georgia and never bothered to click the button, and then the Byzantines took it eventually. There's also probably a geopolitical joke in there somewhere, but I'm not going there.
CK3 Idea: Start as an Anglo-Saxon Catholic ruler in West Africa. Rule is you and your kids can only marry other Anglo saxons, plus all your vassels have to be anglo saxons too. If you survive to an empire level, then I'll be very surprised. I managed to become a king till all my neighbours jumped on me in a holy war.
Tips: pope is your best friend. Choosing seducer helps random woman of your culture appear in a random event that you can marry. Also create holy order ASAP!!
Those events that just kill you or make you incapable don’t give you no option depending on which one of you have the correct perk like strong give you a hidden option to 100% of the time stay alive
Some of the cuts in this are a little on the suspicious side, like how the Shiran county just magically became independent, then taking said county and making it your capital, or how the Abbasid Empire title was destroyed in a cut where you magically didn't noticed one of your most important neighbours that would need to fight later get dissolved.
You know it’s a good day when snap strategy post :)
I like the kill events but the incapable events feel like being put in time out for a decade or two while your ruler dies
Yeah I hate the Incapable ones lmao
I think the county of Shirvan got free because of exclave independence. Since there was no land or sea routes connecting it to the Abbasids it could have gotten free on succession
Snap.. man, it’s bizz-in-tines 😂🏴
Did you realise at the end you were Nestorian?
How about attempting to form the Arabian Empire as a next video, that would be intresting :D :D
Hello! Thank you for your content which I love to watch when I have the time ;)
I would have a question about mods. Is your collection on steam updated? It doesn't seem to work for me. I always liked to use your collection because it doesn't denature the game but it gives to it more flavour without changing its mechanics.
What are the mods that you are using atm?
Thank you a lot! Take care 🤗
Great video! Also, what mod do you use for the Coats of arms? Thank you in advance!
Thanks! Its called Patrum Scuta
Smh. Tiny Armenia! Tiny Armenia! Everyone point and laugh. Also while you didn’t show your holding at the end Met’s Hayek is the best one because it hold two holy sites as a single Duchy while also being a de jure capital.
I did this just now after the Iranian Intermezzo. It was pretty easy after I formed a hybrid culture with the Kurds and used their cavalry.
Would you have done the same thing at the beginning when you took out the guy, didn't like the result, allied up and then fought him?
I get this problem where it says, if they die, I will lose control of it. Which I don't really understand why it wouldn't fall into my control automatically if they had no heir? In the toolbox tips, it says to get them married. Sometimes I don't even have that option.
i wish i could do stuff like this but my ck3 on my xbox doesn't work anymore it just crashes every time i try and load on
Have you considered doing AEIOU and me for a different pace of game?
Would love to know what build you used? Steward ?
Great video, great show of skill and nice concept, can't wait for the next one with this level of quality.
I recently did the same playthrough and I had so much fun
Honestly one of my favorite games I've had! its really intense being surrounded by giant empires
Those events I’m very iffy on. Mostly cause it happens so often it’s kinda ridiculous. Like I get it, it makes sense these events can occur but it’s like way too often. Recently played and had 4 of these foreshadowing of these events happen all within a month. There is potential ways of avoiding the inevitable. Like if pots being tossed on your head, stop developing your capital or stop focusing on building for a bit. Joints getting soar just start focusing on a health life style. But they happen way too much and way to consistently that it’s starting to make things feel way too rng based, more than they should.
ohh ok! i didn't realise the events before gave you the opportunity to try and counter them!
but yeah I think my problem with them is just having no control, like i dont mind dying in tournaments in Hunts etc as I made the choices to do them things, Even still i like these new events but just seem a little too common haha
@@SnapStrategy I am unsure if they actually countered them but it seemed to potentially work. And I probably haven’t experienced them all. Like it would be kinda out of character if you a had content or modest character that choking on food for eating too fast and suffering brain damage. Like I get random events can happen but I do there are actual traits that could potentially counter some events. Like maybe having the athletic trait or high enough prowess gives ya increased success against falling off your horse and becoming capable.
I truly love these damn videos 😂
Thankyou!:)
Wikipedia severely disagrees on the borders of greater Armenia. It was basically just Armeniande jure and bits of Georgia
10:16 That event really does pop up often and it is kinda annoying
Bison-tynes
What is the mod for the coat of arms?
The random events that can either kill or make you incapable are interesting, but I feel like the percentage is too high.
The danger events are good, the game desperately needed a check on people getting too old. It not only makes sense historically but increases the difficulty in an organic way even if it’s a random event.
Yeah it reminds you that random accidents and deaths do occur, even if you're a ruler
@@gabeat_ I really dislike the event where you have no chance of survival while getting on your horse during a tournament.
What a shit take, instead of doing a complex system for you to maintain your health and safety, bullshit random events just end your game. What a great fucking strategy game
Also it makes historical sense? Oh yes, rules had a 15% chance to survive the event, which made no sense that they would be in.
Also also, how in holly pope shit is it organic? Organic would be building towards that event, not random fucking pop up. Maybe you bought the cheapest horse, didn't pay for training of that horse and you went on the hunt. That is organic. RNG pop is a synthetic and lazy way to make games harder .
@@dingus6317 To bad bro, shit happens.
i'm not a fan of harm events bc of the odds being stacked against you with little consideration for the character's traits. its always 80% game changing/game over and they kick off a lot, especially if you have a good character. i think i would like it more if it was actually 50/50 or was situation based on traits. for example, a gluttonous character more likely to choke to death on food than an inappetic one, athletic or strong characters having a lower chance of being incapacitated by falling off a horse, etc
I cant be the only one that hates how frequently the death and incapable popups appear, its very annoying right?
Can you restore the Bulgarian Empire in 1066 as the duke of Moesia?
Yo what happened to snap snap channel you made there no video and it band about 5 months
Did the new update let you form armenia without being apostolic?
not sure what it was before, but i think its possible being either that faith or the Armenian culture
I did this but as the count of suenik
that egyptian ruler had 60 fucking learning...
i truly think this is harder than Outremer or restoring Judaism
I wouldn’t mind the events if they didn’t get spammed as much, at times it feels like your character should just kill themselves once they hit 50 or they will become incapable then live for 30 more years preventing you from doing anything
Zealand would approve (if u know u know)
Hey snap here’s a great video idea start off as an Arabic character that eventually changes to the Christian religion and start to take back all of lands lost back to the Christian’s control and overthrow the arabid empire
What is the game name
Plsss tell me
Crusader Kings 3
Byzantine is pronounced biz-en-teen. LOL. Good video, sir! :)
Video being banned in Turkey😅
and azerbajian
probably kurdistan as well and georgia
I hate harm events. I usually disable them.
Good job! I'm ashamed to say I took the easy way and offered myself as a vassal to the Abbasid emperor and just started wiping out his nephews and cousins from the inside.

it's kurdish area not armenia

I despise the danger events, especially when I finally get attached to my character.
Every player character dies, and a most of them die without the players control. Why are the new events different other than allowing you a chance to survive?
@@fancyorangeAnything else can be delayed. More investment into health. High intrigue, not leading your army, not accepting duels. Even cancer can be delayed.
Imagine investing into the whole body and you get no value out of it due to random event fucks you into the ass. Maybe you are a fan of pegging, but people who want to strategize, in strategy game, rarely do.
@@foreignfat6009 Random events ruining a character's life have always been in the game. Plus, it's not realistic that just because they exercise or whatever you interpret from whole of body that people in the medieval era would regularly survive into their late 60's to early 80's. Accidents happen in real life, so why would this rp focused game not want to have a system that represents that?
@@fancyorange Agreed. I swear people get so tilted when things are not in their control but I guess that's a very human trait.
@@fancyorange Royalty had best chances to survive that long and most of the time they lived like pigs, didn't take care for themselves. And even inbreed individuals managed to live relatively long as ROYALTY. Unless they got plague or small pox, they lived easily till 50-60.
I'm Georgian and I disapprove this video
I'm half Georgian half Armenian and I don't know how to feel about this video ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@sandrx_goat7889 Disgusting
damn im early
if this region is armenia then where is the kurdistan LOL :DDDDD
Azeri gov is scared
I hate the "Harm Events" so much. The RNG was already dogshit enough in these games, and now Paradox seeks to make it worse.
These harm events suck. It is just the game giving you the finger for no reason other than spread some chaos.
I hate the danger events because you have no control. I can understand that they are "realistic" events, but this is a game, and the more events you deliver that remove player control the less fun an experience it is. I'm fine with there being rng involved in the events, but at least give some options within the events.
It isn't even realistic. Why are you outside on your horse, while shy or obese? Realistic would be to go on a hunt as an old person and your chance of survival would be based on your prowess. Older people would have lower prowess, so lower chance of survival, but it would be calculated risk, if you go on a hunt for prestige qs an old fart.
@@foreignfat6009 Mate why do you think I put quotes around the word?
@@demavend6847 I am just adding to your complain, and pre-emptively counter arguments which people generally make.
@@foreignfat6009 Gotcha.
