Campaign idea: create Jan Zizek (The blind Hussite General). Break away from those corrupt Catholics by founding the Hussite version of Christianity and recreate the Great Moravia. Just put him in charge of some random province in Bohemia.
It has some truth to it, there are 2 christians from the east that managed to fend off against muslim invaders. The Ethiopian and some mongol tribes, one mongol priest even managed to met the roman pope, and he was sent from YUAN like why wont people believe this stories when there are dozens of pilgrims and priests from the east? Why wouldnt they believe that there is infact a kingdom that managed, not only fend off, but also kicked some asses
@@brianfrommars even the portuguese and Ethiopian used this story again when facing off against the Ottoman. A lot of people have forgotten about the existance of Abbysinia at this point, they thought because Nubia has fallen, so does the Ethiopian, but when the portuguese managed to sail around Africa, they managed to found Ethiopia, even though only a shell of its former self, but still thriving in the seas of sultanates, Adal, Ajuuran, Mamluks, Zanj, etc. The ethiopian used this story to attract eruopeans, and they even managed to get a ton of help, from golds to guns, thats why ethiopia managed to kick some asses again, even becoming a big player in the region, and they even to get the RUSSIAN attention, iirc, they got some guns, and have military trainings together. The russian trains in ethiopia and some ethiopian train in russia. Another thing to add, during the war in Sumatra, where I come from. My tribe asked the portuguese help when the Aceh sultanate launch a jihad against us. The portuguese came with a couple of south indians, ethiopians and some said non white non african and nor indian, and from some stories from the philippines the Spanish brought with them some native mexican garrisons. The Aceh sultanate asked the help from their overlord, Ottoman, they also bring some Gujarati and in some lore, white people, might be bosnians. So yeah, inside a mountainous jungle, Turks, Gujarati, Bosnian, and Acehnese fought against Portuguese, Ethiopian, Goans, South Amerindians, and Bataknese (my tribe).
@@brianfrommars if you're interested, you can look up Aceh-Batak war, sadly not everything is documented, because only our shamans and kings are the one can read and write, and none of them really write stuffs down, plus, most of our stuffs are in London (our first colonizer), Berlin (we convert to Lutheranism) or Holland (our colonizer).

My current game is in a similar spot (just to the south in Malwa). Pala put together one of the most impressive coalitions I've ever seen the AI use offensively (four kingdom-tier alliances) and rocked up with over 25,000 men and thousands of MAAs in the early 900s for a subjugation war. My leader didn't have any kids yet, so no alliances of my own, but I'm pretty confident I had the strongest economy in the world at the time. Because it was so early, attrition was absolutely ridiculous for both me and the AI. No luck on the hail-Mary capital siege, and the AI played their cards unusually well for the CK3 AI. I had to merc up three times, and probably dropped 4000-6000 gold into the war effort, but finally grinded out a victory. Moral of the story, economies win wars.
There might be some true to prester John, both the Ethiopian and the Mongols managed to beat the Muslims and both have Christians (some tribe in mongols, iirc subutai or the other Temujin war dogs are Christians) and well, the Ethiopian are christians even before the roman conversion
I think one of Ghenghis Khan's wives was a Nestorian. Religion wise, The Mongols were actually really friggin' tolerant. Probably because Tengriism doesn't decry the other faiths, as it even says it's better to be a Righteous Non-Believer than a believer who is not Righteous.
This start is close to khotan, which is one of my favorite counties in the game. 7 holdings, the culture in 867 has horse lords, and the very wealthy dutchy of ferghana is close by, ready for conquest
If we could post memes there would be so many with thanos being asked what did it cost. Pasted with snap over his face after he said the war cost him everything after his wife died.

ive had war thunder for a while. its a great game.
btw i love ur videos. ur the reason i want to get this game, and the mods
It's funny to see so many sponsorships for WarThunder crop up recently, the protesting must've hurt them quite a bit then.

Prester John, probably the biggest prank in history. Though that story could make for a cool alternate history mod.

As the reply above me said, there is quite a lot of truth to the story. It was more of a miss understanding than anything.

Would love a Part 2 where you aim to build an Empire and convert more Counties, will be difficult with everyone being different Faiths.
Also a Culture Merge as well.
That would be fun!
I think going forward i might make most my 1 part videos have a clear 2nd video goal, then if the first does well make a part 2!

That's who Prester John is? I got that as nickname during one of my games in CK3 as a random event and I had no idea of the significance of it.

either conquest, or raiding (not played khotan, so i'm not sure if they can. but you have convinced me)
@speckledjim_3369 no raiding, but if you go manachean, it has a holy site
I don't know why he didn't hire the peasant leader who has 39 marshal 💀💀and keeps telling how he don't have good one🥲
Great idea to create this mythical character.
This reminds me of your Himalayan Roman Kingdom Series. How’s that doing, by the way?
Will we see a continuation of this?

I really wish this video playthrough kept going
Can we get a part 2 please
This was really messy...I liked it!

What is CK3 on when giving a Temperate character an event for gaining gout due to indulgence in food?
I’m confused, is this a repost? I swear I saw this like yesterday but it only had 6 views.
He is Ethiopian, because the actual kingdom of Prester John was Abyssinia (Ethiopia). It was rumoured to be in China
When Csk 4 is Comming?
at least 5 years
the Christian Ethiopian kings were often mistaken for Prester John
I thought you'd be playing him in Ethiopia
I’m wondering how Snap hasn’t done a video on the North Sea Empire? Or if I’ve just missed it🤔
Not yet! although im going through and doing every formable nation! so will prob be done pretty soon!
Redo this video with the wandering nobles dlc plz
Weren't the Mongols partially christian? (Nestorian)
How did he have a port

Try make India 🇮🇳
Isn't there an indian version of christianity?
