About to start one now, the manual looks absolutely awful to follow. That's why I'm here. haha
This is 4 years later but this helped me today. I spent 2 hrs on part 6 because the screws wouldn’t fit. I decided to follow your video and boom by the time I put the head/foot boards on the screws could be locked. Thank you!

This is absolutely amazing. Great time saver, if you're a rookie like myself following step by step nonstop. It'll only take you around 4 hours. And that's pretty good in my opinion. But if you have electrical screw driver, I'd say you'll be done in 3 hours. Just a screw driver sucks man. Great video 10/10

Did you do it and if so how long did it take you? I'm planning on building mine this week with my uncle who agreed to help but we'd love to know how long it could take us with the electric screwdriver... hopefully just a few hours! 😅

Update: I did it! It took me about 6 - 6½ hours to finish everything including putting my mattress on the new bed frame! I'm literally exhausted, but it was worth it! I started with the drawers and finished with the base. The biggest challenge I faced was connecting the base to the front and to the back. My floor is uneven, so it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped for. Anyway, I did well, and this video gave me the courage to do it myself. I also saved some money (Don't have to pay a handyman to do it for me.)

We did it! Your instructions were spot on. The only change I made is in the beginning hooking those wing parts on by myself, it was hard to do. So I slid those big pieces underneath to hold them up. I waited to cam them down. Having my husband able to help later made it a bit easier but we have a small room like you had. Quite an adventure!

Omg finally done. Did it by myself (alone) and it took 6.5 hours. But your video helped me so much!
A little tip: be sure the screws on the rails for the drawers are really tight and completely in! Otherwise you will have problems at putting the drawers in and using them.
Sadly securing one screw in the cross didn't work. It seemed like the hole for the Screw was a bit too long so the screw wasn't able to really stick out. The metal thing couldn't secure it :/ But the rest of the frame fixed that and I put a board underneath so it can't bend down.

For customers information if you have week hands, fingers or arthritis, I bought a ratchet right angle screwdriver and wow, the ease of putting this thing together was amazing after after I bought that thing. Trust me, get a ratchet right angle screwdriver!
Not everyone has a drill.

I'm having a hard time picking which brand and type of bed to buy from IKEA. Either MALM with drawer storage or this BRIMNES with drawer storage as well. But after watching this video and saw the drawers are connected to the bed frame by slide rollers while the MALM is not, just wheels rolling on the floor. Thank you for this

The side panel will not stay connected to the center panel (3:34) . The cam lock is in the locked position but it still slides out. Broke one of the locks trying to connect. Any suggestions??

I have just made this bed, your instructions were superb. I have a problem, which is not your fault, two of the screws to slid the draws in went flat and I got help to try to fix it but one of the draws does not close. I could not take the screw back out. Everything else was great, if you have any ideas how to solve this problem I would be greatful. thanks.

Just assembled mine yesterday. Really happy with it. Didn't need our old squeaky boxframe because of the high design...awesome.
Also, it's finished (not rough) on the underside parts, which makes it easy to slide on the bedroom carpet.
One slight criticism is that you need to be careful not to lean too hard on the screws when assembling the parts...if the drill-screwdriver slips you can break away some of the wood...
But apart from that it's good

So we cant seem to get the middle dividing panel at 3:28. The screws dont seem long enough, the locks can't grasp them. 😢. Any hints or ideas. Did everything as soon. They still wont grasp the screw head.
