Followed your video step by step, completed the bed in 2 hours (with a Popeyes chicken break in between so to be fair it would have been a shorter assembly time) it wasn’t difficult at all your instructions made it easy. When you said the headboard was going to be difficult I got a little discouraged but it actually went really smooth. Maybe ikea improved their pieces a bit but none the less it’s an awesome bed and I didn’t have to sleep on the floor lol was able to get it done in one night
Excellent video - thank you!! The headboard is indeed the hardest part. I ended up using a 30 lb kettle bell to gently "hammer in" the boards into their holes. I did not manage to screw in the 2 front head boards using the two long black screws as I just couldn't get the holes to align properly. The head board seems pretty steady and solid regardless, so maybe not a big deal. I assembled the bed by myself in about 4.5 hours.
Thank you so much for such a great video! It was quite a difficult bed to assemble and your video helped. Wish the holes would line up properly in the first place!
I am expecting a delivery of two of these beds in Green and am very impressed with your tutorial and will be using your links to purchase the electric drills..Thankyou
Hi, I watched the video but I still need help! Right now I have the frame standing with the headboards on. The long black screws with the washers that get screwed in under the headboards aren't gripping anything inside, even when I screw with pressure. Is there a treaded hole that isn't lined up with the hole in the frame that I put the screws in? I made sure to push the headboards down all the way I even used my bodyweight. It all looks tight and flush. I don't know what to do.
Everytime i get up from the bed. Ths bed base slides keep falling down from the middle. Have assembled as per the instructions looks too me as a big design flaw.
Thank you for the useful video! What is the total length of the bed once assembled, also considering the headboard tilt? I would like to know if it fits in my space. Thanks!
Hi. I recently got this bed and am using the valevåg mattress, but not a second mattress. And i have been experiencing slight back pain and discomfort. Do you think it is the bed or the mattress?
This bed is not easy! It’s mostly straight forward but attaching the headboard has become a nightmare for me - I so far only have one side attached as the others will not sink into the holes. 😩
I see this is an old comment and hope you eventually solved the problem. Just in case anyone has the same issue, I found the board extremely difficult to assemble by hand, but it sank in immediately when I started tapping it from the top with a rubber coated 15 lb exercise hand weight. A rubber mallet would probably do the same.
How hard do you think it would be to disassemble partially? I would like to bring it with me when I move in a year. I’m worried about the wood plugs. I know I can buy more at Home Depot if they break. I’m also pretty handy and work with tools at work often. Thank you for your video, very helpful!
Finding the holes on the sides of the headboards in the end there is ridiculously hard....all four pieces are perfectly flush and aligned and yet the those two holes appear to not exist. About to give up...
Let me start of by saying I have put together my fair share of Ikea stuff, so I am used to fighting with getting things to line up. This headboard was the fucking end boss. It took two of us the better part of two hours trying to get this to fit in. We wiggled, jiggled, jumped, used all of my weight. I still could not get it all the way in. It still lines up fine and I can screw it in, but there is about a 1/8 inch gap where the peg goes into the hole. I lifted the bed with my foot and slammed it down on the floor as well, that was the ONLY way I was able to get it that far. The other problem is there are NO spare parts. Not one. Usually I am left with a bunch of extras, not here. The screws strip so easy, I had to use my own I had laying around to get the drawer brackets in. it is like they made the screws out of cheap pot metal. I could probable chew the screw it is so soft. In the end it looks very nice and seems sturdy but I am worried there is no middle support touching the ground...but I guess time will tell.

@@mitchell600 It's holding up great. I'm not at all worried about it. This bed will last awhile. It's gotten some action 😂
I just got done doing it by myself, but it was a P.I.T.A The hardest part for me is not having any of the hardware 😅
Thank you so much! The headboard was killer. It almost beat me but with the help of your excellent video, I put this baby to bed!!

@@mitchell600 great! Only complaint is that there is a gap between mattress and headboard so things fall through

Did it by myself with no trouble
Thank you for the video!! Why is there no 5 legs in the middle of the bed? It seems fragile and will break..

Standard double 213cm, Standard king 223cm. For more details check ikea website.
Hey! Do you know if we can use a non ikea bed slats on this bed? We have two really good ones and wondering if we can use this on this bed?
You can use your no problem. I would use long ones instead of two sides.
Hi. I recently got this bed and am using the valevåg mattress, but not a second mattress. And i have been experiencing slight back pain and discomfort. Do you think it is the bed or the mattress?
100% mattress. Bed is just nice box where you put the mattress that’s why good mattress is sometimes more expensive than bed

Not sure what is the maximum weight but all structure is solid and legs are strong here.

is the legs of beds strong enough to bear the weight?
Yes
Still struggling at the headboard after almost an hour….

The legs are kinda wobbly on mine /: is that normal?
No. Legs should be solid
@@PPFlatPack thank you!! I got it 😊
The headrest thing is so not engenered inbthe right way ... screw holes arent alining theyre neters appart
Кто производитель? Где можно купить?
17:35 i try it since 3 hours and im still not able to install those one for the side
Oh yeah that's the hardest part after headboard easy life. Good luck
Took 30 min to assemble everything
Those legs are going to get loose sooner than later. Better to spend money on legless bed frames.
Can I use a foam mattress with this one?
Yes
