- Lok hits the streets of Hong Kong with the incredibly named Alex Timelapse to shoot, err, timelapses using an iFootage Shark Slider Mini.
Thanks to the Shark Slider Mini Alex is able to take some cool timelapse footage including sliding, panning and tilting movements, all of which are controlled automatically via a bluetooth connection, smartphone and the iFootage app.

You can see that Alex is really passionate about his art. Amazing footage.
My heart keeps pounding fast every time I see Alex and Lok working along the narrow roof rim of that high ShamShuiPo building . And the final Central timelapse is really amazing. Kudos to Alex and Lok. Passionate guys dedicated to their work are often charismatic.
Paris Base Somehow it looks more terrifying in video than in reality!
Alex is great. I love that he's so interested in sharing his process
Wow... This is awesome! Thank you for sharing/documenting this.

would love to get my hands on something like this for my time lapse, great video Lok!
Great episode Lok and very engaging.
I enjoyed this video but it would have been nice to know the real-time duration that you spent at a given location to make the demo lapses...
Lok's PGN footage of shooting in HongKong w/Shark TRACK is PHENOMENAL !
This, for me, is one of the cleverest time lapse sequences I've ever seen.
F A N T A S T I C
Great Video, thank you.
Very cool and educational Lok
i wish there was a good tutorial how to program a timelaps in the app.. and did you say 6 sec exposure in the first timelaps ?
eres un makina Alex
Cool footage! Very passionate guy!
nice work,
(so wish the iFootage Shark Slider Motor can take a bit more weight)
and LR Time lapse is god (Working on that the moment seeing this video)
Great video Lok!
I wanted to look at the price of this rig and it says you need a password to access the store??? When will this product be available??
Choose the Dealer option on the website and you can choose your country and find your local distributors / retailers of the product. I did the same as you initially.
What tripod was that with red leveling base, the last one that Alex use? Great work !
great timelapse Alex. i have a Q, what is camera bag you use? it's looks ok that you can keep everything in it. Thank u
yes, is the backpack that come with the shark mini, actually also my favourite backpack so far!
Anyone know or tried, in theory can we use exposure bracket shooting for a day to night and perhaps use that for post?
yes, it is possible, i did one you can check on my channel, HDR sunset timelapse , you had to calcultate the time you need to take 3 pics (in my case) i remember i had to set the intervalometer to shot every 10 secs , but as i explained on the video, is key to know how will be the exposure at night to set the right interval
I LOVE HIM
nice video bangyao maybe sometime i can meet with you?
great vid!
Alex is el puto amo!!
Of course he shoots in manuel.
That effort tho'... 😀
15mm 2.0f lens
What lens is that
Laowa 15mm f2, my fauvorite lens for motion timelaspe and gimbal use www.venuslens.net/product/laowa-15mm-f2/ref/138/
The one on the roof looks like the Laowa 15mm f/2
Alex needs a harness if he's going to take risks!
WOW
i use a pocket travel zoom to do real-time video - then speed it up in AVS Video Editor. There are catches, of course. My real-time videos are 29 minutes long at amximum. The maximum speed-up I can do is 12 times. But I don't have to buy new gear or new software.
if you want to improve your timelapses you can start with a cheap camera shooting static shots, you can benefit of long shutter speed shots at low iso even at night, creating a "next" level results if you compare with a fastforward video, then you will want to get a motion timelapse device and you will want to be very portable XD
My Olympus SH-2 does time lapse internally in video mode, but without sound. Using software to create time lapse from normal video retains the sound, so I don't need my SH-1 to record normal sound for later manipulation. Both cameras permit 99 stills with user-set periods between them, without sound of course, both of which I consider too limiting. Most convenient improvement would probably be a video camera, with a much longer recording time, and user control over the shutter speed.
the Asian guy is so hot
i visited iFootage booth at NAB 2019 and wanted to purchase iFootage Shark Slider Mini Complete. I was introduced to Sunny Zou as she was a sales manager. She promised 15% NAB discount, even provided here business card with her hand writing on it. She never provided any discount code. I contacted her after the NAB by sending her a reminder email, sent her directly to her email address indicated on her business card. She did not even had a courtesy to reply. If you have a customer service like this even before sales, I can only imagine the type of service you provide after the sales.👎
oh god this is unbievalable
this guy talks like steve buscemi
First
His accent is unbearable. For a few videos is kinda funny...
