What an incredible transformation!!! I sure could've done without the bloody antelope bits being splashed into my face 🤮 Have a great weekend everyone! Don't forget to check out the NEW Yard Geek video!!
For blood messes, find a good peroxide based cleaner. That's what we use in hospital cleaning... so if splashback occurs, at least it's disinfected first. I don't have a recommended product since we used hospital cleaners.. but it's worth looking into for that particular clean up in the future.. plus peroxide is great for getting blood out of any fabric
As a hunter/ taxidermist, best way I've found to clean a truck box with ploodin it is to use detergent, water and hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide breaks down the blood. I just put it in a garden sprayer, soak the bed, scrub with sn old broom and rinse, then pressure wash as normal. Driving the truck up on vehicle ramps helps when pressure washing.
As a viewer from Europe, I am always amazed at how high mileage vehicles still have pristine alloys when they’re clean. I can just imagine that road driving in Canada just doesn’t consist of so many brake maneuvers and of course Autobahn driving. Wheels always are caked in brake dust that gets burnt in fairly quickly.
What if you were to pre-soak the tub, scrub it by hand, soft rinse with a normal hose and then use the power washer? That way you could avoid getting sprayed with blood and little chunks of fur! Love your videos!
WeatherTech floor mats are everything. They have saved me from spills many times over the years and, of course from wet, sloppy winter weather. Definitely worth the investment
this is why i'm glad that the cars i've cleaned yesterday as student intern at the local car shop that offers car cleaning had very minimal messes, only requiring vacuuming the carpet, probably cause it's in quebec where they atleast keep their cars generally clean
I love your work. I can often binge watch. Unfortunately, I can not watch the ones for Hunter's vehicles. I will sit this one out. But I will be back again.
for trucks, have you ever considered jacking the front end up ever so slightly, to get a better angle for the water to run off when spraying the box? or to drive the truck up onto ramps? it wouldnt reduce the back spray too much but it would help to make sure the water doesnt pool in the ridges of the box liner
How I clean out my truck bed is I park on a hill. The jack is actually pretty smart but jacks aren’t really there so you can get on the truck. You’d need a jack in the middle then you’d need 2 jacks on both sides of the front to keep the truck from falling when you’re on it
A tip, if you drive in the muddy areas, place a lawn sprinkler under the vehicle for about 30 mins and move it back or forward another 30 mins. This will get a lot of mudd off the underside.
Another fantastic detail from dried on mud to looking showroom ready. One of my favorite portions is the power wash because the fact is the video is sped up it almost looks as if you are dancing when your reflection can be seen. The unfortunate part was power washing the bed with the blood and fur. Take care and look forward to the next video.
Chipping solution: Have the rocker panels sprayed with "Rhino Guard/3M Chip Guard". Also works on no carpeted wheel wells, preventing chips and reducing noise from the bed of the truck.
Your attention to detail is amazing. Every transformation is incredible. I just picked up one of the steamers you have in your link. Can’t wait to try it out
Good morning Mitch, the bed of the Silverado was sure worse that I thought it would be. The spraying out the blood and fur was excellent. I can understand why the bug remover was needed. That worked great. The interior was pretty bad, the area under the drivers side beneath the mat was rough. Lots of small stones and debris. I can see why this was 12 hours of work. The cup insert turned out great. Love the Yard Geek videos and am excited that you have so much new videos coming there for us. Thanks for all you do, have a great weekend. 💜
The Silverado truck looks much better transforming from it eliminates washing the blood. The owner would appreciate it. Yippeee! Here it drops temperatures and coming cool soon. Have a great day and a marvelous weekend. 😊
Morning Joel! I sure could've done without the bloody antelope bits being sprayed into my face, but the truck sure turned out good! 😄 Should have another Yard Geek video coming soon! Have a great weekend!
Two grosses in one video... extra special 😊 And I have to say I was surprised that the Lilly brush didn't make an appearance, given all of the pet hair. I guess that speaks well to the quality of the carpet.
Дякую за твої відео. В тебе у випусках завжди дуже занедбані автівки. Але я чомусь гадаю, що не всі люди вашої країни так зневажливо ставляться до своєї техніки. Бажаю здоров'я та наснаги!)
I’m not going to lie, that paint color on that truck is really nice. The carpet came out great. This is one of the first times I’ve seen a truck in good condition! Have a nice weekend everyone!
I don't know, call me crazy, but I can't understand how people can be so dirty in their lives. I understand the mud outside, I understand that he lives on a farm, I understand the dirt on the carpet, but I can't understand the old cans, the liquids thrown all over the inside, the potatoes and food thrown away, papers, things thrown randomly... . I can't understand why instead of putting the empty can in a bag or the leftover potatoes, they throw them everywhere in the vehicle... and the stains on the seats, do they pee and shit on them? I can't find any justification. By the way, tremendous work. Congratulations!
People don't care, as an auto mechanic you have to sit in and work in, these types of vehicles daily. To most people, an automobile is just another throw away item, a box on wheels that gets them from point A-to-B.. except it's the third most expensive thing you'll ever pay for. They're fools.
@@ShannonMorey-gx1knGotta say, for the drinks; those smaller kids do need other drinks. Especially if they don’t usually drink water (and get apple juice in a sippy cup* and milk bottles Instead! ) Also they may get hungry if that drive takes more than a hour (or they just wanna eat on the way home) so yea there’s a reason for a few snacks . However cans, and all those other random items - That’s just confusing 🤷♀️
Howdy! I know I'm a little late watching this today, but I have a question...what is your opinon on other detailers saying power washing dirt off paint is damaging it. I watch other detailers and they say you should use a prewash spray before powerwashing. I detail my own car, and I was wondering what your opinion on it is. -Thanks, huge fan!
Dude I'm with you on those carpeted fenders. As a fellow detailer I've cleaned many of those and they are not easy to clean. I always hated trying to get them clean because it took so long to get all the dirt and grime out of them. Definitely a fan of the plastic ones for sure. But awesome job on this one.
Mitch I watched your videos every day and they made me clean my car inside out your videos helped me do a very good job and she looks good as new I clean her almost every day
Love your videos been watching for years on all your channels, I do wish you would show more of putting the 303 on all of the trim and interior it’s one of my favorite things to watch
To help with spraying out the box put the front on some stands of some sort to angle the back so it drains out some on its own. Would help. Also, thanks for the answer on the bugs as I just asked that question recently.
When Mac, from Midwest Magic Cleaning, suggested we subscribe, I admit I was skeptical. But, your video was amazing and informative. Farm trucks are put through the wringer and you made it look so clean.
I would like to just recommend that you could use the clear plastic shield for your face as you power washing the nasty stuff of the truck that would help you a lot not to get anything on your face wonderful job you’re doing as usual
Winter has been teasing us over here in Northern ohio; it seems like it's going to finally set in, but then it warms up a few days later (not anything close to Summer temps, but a lot warmer than it normally is around this time of year)
werner makes a work platform. adjustable height. can be connected to another one. you could get roofs and truck boxes without being inside and getting blood on you. can be found at lowes or home depot.
Yeah, kind of wish I’d had breakfast before watching this video, not sure I want anything now. That bed was seriously gross. But it had to be done and you did your usual great job on this truck. I do wish customers would remove their garbage, at least the big stuff. It would save you a lot of time. Thanks for getting Friday off to a great start!
@TheDetailGeek do you or have you considered using a dehumidifier in the vehicles you clean to assist in drying the carpet and seats out? Also when dealing with nasty smokers cars depending on how much wet you get while cleaning you might considered a tyveck suit as you are not just dealing with tar but actually rehydrating nicotine in the stains. If that gets on your skin cause it psoriasis and other problems. Also if while cleaning that crap and start feeling bad, dizzy, or heart starts racing you might want to quit and get checked out.
I wonder why there were all those lentils in the car. And by the way, I was already able to use one of your hints for my own use. While I haven't got a car my home certainly has got windows, and the wafer towels (they're available at my local drug store) proved VERY useful. Thanks for the tip!
I got a question: how many sets of nitrile gloves do you go through in a typical detail? When I clean my truck, it seems like I go through a ton of gloves
Suggestion : we would love you to divide parts of the video if possible. Like if you can ... it would be great to separate them to inside detailing and outside cleaning ❤
First thing I do is after trash removal … all nasty floor Matts and rubber liners cup holders go in a wash tub of warm water mix of tide and oxy clean. And any other removable kick panels step plates
You should partner with a PDR guy who can work out of your garage and offer the service with details. Maybe even add some of the pdr work as content to the videos.
Weather tech matts are very easy to clean I love them, I dont get why some ppl hate on their products then say they are slippery, talk about nit picking bc they are not slippery, just a matter of wht treatment u use tht can cause matts to be slippery.

WHY DO YOU ALWAYS CLEAN THE PEDALS AFTER YOU CLEAN THE CARPETS?
You should probably invest in some PPE for situations like this. No use risk risking your health.

Yeah paint supposedly was chipped cause of the dirt roads, yet the wheels looked like new after a rinse😅🤔

I think my favorite part of detailing is the pre-vac. That and how smooth the paint is after clay, cut, polish, sealant.

The carpeted wheel arches are not only for noise suppression but spray suppression also. Where you reside, that must be a safety feature. I know all the heavy trucks have them to reduce spray and that is a legal requirement in some places
