Appreciate your videos as well Vince! At 17:27, when copying plugins to occupied slots, holding shift along with option+drag will suppress the confirm dialog.. This has greatly increased my enjoyment imagining different textures. 🙂
Thanks for a great video! I use Logic Pro also but never got into using Divisimate on a regular basis. At 20:18 when you switched to legato by disarm and arm new tracks in Logic, what is your setup? Same Divisimate ports goes to two different patches? I use articulatikn sets for switching, thats why I ask🇸🇪
Yes that’s correct. I do this because the non legato strings have a unique kontakt setup (layered longs and shorts) which gives me more flexibility for sketching.
Great demo, Vince - love your improvs, and you seem to have got a handle on V.2 pretty well. I'm just getting into it myself, having come from V.1. There are so many new features, it'll take me some time to get familiar enough with them to put them to practical use! But I'm sure there'll be 'eureka' moments when they become become indispensable.
Hi! I'm probably not the best person to ask about tech specs but for your reference I have a Macbook Pro M1Max 2021 with 64 gb of ram. I'm not anywhere near maxing out (cpu meter generally only gets to about 20%) Previously I had a similar setup on a 2013 Mac Pro (trashcan) which was doable but was more prone to crashes and sometimes would hit system overload. Hope this helps!
Hi, Vince. great demonstration/exposition. Question for you: Are you using the breath controller to control expression? dynamics? or both simultaneously? I have divisimate 2 and a tec breath controller. trying to set mine up now. Thanks again for the videos. be well.
I have the same controller and I use it with SWAM. It was lots of work but for each instrument I used the midi map part to assign the level of control I want and exported the patches as a backup. There is also a stand alone program from TEC to test your input and you can set so you dont have to breath that hard. I use Bitwig and had to create a controller for each div port (version 1) but it works. I have a live setup to play piano, synth and solo instruments on top
I have my breath controller setup to send cc11 breath and cc18 on bite which I assign to control vibrato depth. How these incoming CCs affect the instrument varies per instrument. Strings its generally controlling both so I have a wider dynamic range to play with (I use a modifier with ‘thru’ in logic to achieve this.) Winds (Infinite series and Vwinds) it’s just controlling the dynamics slider because these have a wide dynamic range as it is. If I wanted a low dynamic performance at a high volume I’d use volume automation at the track level. Hope this makes sense!
@@vincecomposer absolutely. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. busy fellow. the videos are great. thank you for them also. you inspired. me. I purchased the same breath/bite controller yesterday. much needed upgrade. be well.
I'm considering getting a breath controller because I find the mod wheel challenging to work with, and I think the controller might be a better fit for me. Combined with DivisiMate 2, I'm hoping it will breathe some extra life to my compositions (no pun intended!). I’m curious, is the breath controller hard to set up? I’m using Logic Pro with East West Composer Cloud, Spitfire BBC SO and BBC Pro, Cinematic Strings, and Scaler 2. Also, with DivisiMate 2, are there any pre-made mappings ready to use, or do you have to create templates from scratch?
The breath controller is very easy to setup , there’s an app that lets you tweak how it responds to input and you can assign the functions to any CC. And yes there are some preset templates for divisimate which can be downloaded from the website.
Great showcase of the new features, and very enjoyable noodling!
Cheers Runar!
Grateful for these videos. Thanks for what you do.
Pleasure!
Great improvs. Thanks for letting us observe, listen and get inspired.
You’re very welcome! Happy composing!
Excellent demo and improvisations! Really helps understanding the multifaceted uses of this powerful tool.

Thanks yes I spotted this in the discord but it hasn’t become muscle memory yet haha!

Love the Troll March at 27:00 and 27:59 is straight out of Batman: The Animated Series. 🦇
Great explanation! Thank you, Vince 🙂
No problem!
Transformer plugin is a gem!
Agreed, very useful tool to have in the arsenal!
Great video Vince..will buy 😊
Good workout, Vince.
Divisimate 2!? Heck yea! I have to check it out

Glad you enjoyed! Yeah, the simple thing of using transform to rebalance the dynamics feels like the biggest game changer for me
Hi .... which strings Library that you played with Divisimate in this Video? 8:22
Cinematic Studio Strings!
@@vincecomposer Thank you
@@vincecomposer One more question please : If you use the Library without Divisimate Dose it sounds the Same ?
Yes, in this demo I think I’m sometimes layering the sustains and shorts for a quicker response time though
@@vincecomposer it sounds Very realistic ..can you tell what each layer Name that you used in this Demo ?
Great video Vince, thanks so much! Would you need a powerful setup for this to work? Can I ask about your computer specs like CPU and ram etc?

Great Video! Which Flute do you use in combination with the Pizzi/Marimba?
Vwinds flute by acoustic samples!
@@vincecomposer Thank you for the information, vince!
You are the best
Hi, thanks for your work. what kind of breath controller do you use ? Kind regards from France.
It’s a tec control breath and bite 2!

Well dude you can play…period
hi, what instrument does the brasses and the woodwinds use?
Infinite Brass and VWinds by Acoustic Samples!
And which breath controller are you using?
Tec Control Breath and Bite 2!
You know, you could just make improv videos and we will love it.
Haha ok maybe I will 🤔
