For anyone wanting to try this out, here's a link to my Logic Template and the Divisimate patches seen in the video www.dropbox.com/sh/r5rfboofcscsj9p/AADM8I71ppd81Q2O9SvCQpwXa?dl=1
I bought divisimate , i had to get the devs to convert your files here for me to check out. Because you had made them on the older version they would not work in 1.4.. would be really cool to have like a talk about divisimate with you. You seem to have it set up real good at this video is 1 yrs ago now. I am just setting it up now with an orchestra, i guess i just kinda look for what colors i want to blend and make some presets. your 2 videos with this software will really help , thanks. if you have any new knowledge of making presets too , making a new divisimate video would be sweet. It's hard to convince other ppl i know to check out this software, they are skeptical or kinda set in their ways and don't want to re-make a template. I need this because i have pretty strong ADHD and when i go in and have to do tedious midi tracking one track at a time, i just lose my train of thought. Divisimate instantly helping me already, i just need to spend a month coming up with writing templates like what you did
these files i had to get the devs to convert to new files for me. you need to re-export them and change this link. and did you remove my other comment.. ? why?
Lots of great custom presets! I love Divisimate, but those are sort of a chore to set up at first. Maybe this will be my inspiration to do more of that this weekend.
@@vincecomposer Ravel used to say : "nothing special in my Bolero i'have just grab the right instrument at the right moment" (+ a strong build up technic ;-) anyway i think Divisimate is good also for regular composing with some adjustements like individual Midi CC for modulation expression and vibrato, so it's more that one take but orchestration goes so fast that it's sounds ok for me. probably it's not so usable with a full tutti but by family, or just doubling i think it is most of the time.also because you can add all the best doubling ideas from Bach to Ligeti , for myself i'd like to do that by composer/from 17th to 21th to have different aesthetics and power i mean orchestra by one by 2 by 3 and finally "Malher" big orchestra ( i could share that with you if interested )
Hi Vince, great improvisation with feeling! :) I'm wondering what audio interface you use for low latency playing? How low have you been able to get your latency down to? Do you find there's a perceptible delay between your finger action and the sound? Thanks!
Thanks! I currently use a UAD Apollo 8p interface with an old 2015 trash can mac. I do have to set the buffer size a little higher than I'd like when playing the full orchestra so yes there's a slight delay which becomes a little tricky at faster tempos. It's not too much of an issue though! If i'm using fewer instruments I can get the latency down to a couple of milliseconds. Divisimate itself doesn't introduce much latency, but physical modelling instruments in general tend to be a little more demanding on CPU.
Hi thanks for watching! I'll think about it selling some packs in the future - right now I'm still experimenting and some of the routing is particular to my logic template. FYI I'd say this demo is quite dependent on owning Infinite Brass + Woodwinds (or maybe SWAM series) - I'd struggle to get similar results with more typical brass/ww libraries.
@@vincecomposer Thanks. have this one ua-cam.com/video/uKJcqTxlWKc/v-deo.html I have some latency but its nice to get away from my keys sometimes. I plan to use it within a band. But first have to learn SWAM, Divisimate and so many other stuff. Beautiful times ...

I love this. I'm just mad that your channel has not blown up yet. Your contents are so informative and definitely my all time favorite channel.
Hey Koua, that's so nice to hear! Do you have any suggestions for my song bowl? :)
@@vincecomposer i think exactly the same ! i was waiting for something as brilliant as your channel for a very long time !
Wonderful!!! I guess you're part of the evolution of musical expression.
Your channel is pure joy! Thank you so much.
aw thanks!
Thank you very much❤
That is amazing ❤
Love it. Thanks
Great Video Vince! Glad I found this channel

Good luck! It can be fun once you get into it :) Nice to have a couple of orchestrations in the back pocket for inspo (or jamming)
Awesome and inspiring… also do you have a link to peter’s channel? tried google fu but no joy! maybe i’m spelling his name wrong?
Peter is one of the co founders of divisimate so the videos I was referring to are on the official divisimate channel. Sorry not terribly clear!
@@vincecomposer Ahh ok that clears it up.. thanks!
Amazing channel maybe the best one! Very smart worflow and very good composer it's so rare to have both ! God save this channel ;-)
Thanks! Full disclosure, I don't currently use Divisimate a whole lot for regular composing but it sure is fun to muck around with 🙂

Great work Vince. Can I ask which sound libraries you used in this video?
Cheers!

I bought the cheaper re.corder as a real breath controller. Now I have to learn to play a recorder 😂

What mouth piece are you using?
Good point I'll add it to the description. It's called Tec Control Breath and Bite Controller 2
