The better place to put a can is not on the CCV as you've done, but on the PCV in the back, under the intercooler. I run a dual catch can system and intercept both and rarely get any oil in the one you're showing here but almost always have oil out of the PCV when I do oil changes.
well, I spent the $400+ for the dual can setup from Radium, complete w/adapter cage and enough hose for the job. No rigging, no painting. I'd rather support the companies that support the industry and not some random vendor w/some unknown origin can. Glad it mostly worked for you. I feel comfortable w/spending a few more dollars (US/CAN) for a quality kit from a leading parts engineering company.

I just bought the same catch can to put it on my wrx, thx for the advise.
Thinking about going this route. How have you liked it so far? Just can’t justify spending north of 300 on such a mundane part.
If putting a single catch can it’s supposed to be on the PCV line in the back. This is not going to prevent much
I know I'm kinda late one this but did ever see oil get to your catch can. I had ran mine like this for a little and it didn't seem to get much oil.
