Just realised that Siffrin's travelling clothes are straight up a reference to Odin in his aspect as the Wandering God (thick grey cloak, big hat, eyepatch). Also Siffrin is definitely putting themself through a lot of horrible stuff to earn wisdom.
It's only upon re-watching that I notice *why* Siffrin eats so much during the game (and seemingly more than normal, given everyone's reactions) SPOILER BELOW 'read more' They're using Wish Craft every time they loop, which takes up a lot of energy. This only actually catches up to them on the last loop, where they don't eat anything (no clocktower meal and no snack breaks) and so essentially collapse once the King is defeated.
Halfway through editing the final compilation now. This game gets so grim in those final two streams, but the occasional "yeahyeahyeahgogogoyeahyeahyeahs" are bright spots that keep me pushing through
A fun theory I like that I have noticed never really gets brought up that often The reason why siff feels a tug on their stomach (probably) is a reference to the vaudeville hook that pulls actors off stage It makes sense because siff’s whole deal about the stage and what not
Oh that’s such a cool connection! The animation that plays every time you loop back kind of resembles Siffrin getting yanked to the left, or exiting stage left, too
5:17 decided to frame by frame read what Loop says during the tutorial for skipping dialogue, and at the time stamp they say "Don't make the same mistakes I did"
Authors note: If I was a better at my job, I would've added Oz's defeated "I guess this is just my lot in life..." from the Pokemon Stadium XD streams at 8:11

That’s makes sense, especially since in ACT 6 when the wish magic is lifted siffrin gets full almost immediately when he eats
