further irony, is that I am allergic to pineapples, but for me, they're just spicy and make my mouth tingly rather than killing me

@@jaydenwilton5279 i had heard that too. which is why i didn't suspect anything. However when I say "tingly" I mean "how your foot feels when it falls asleep" and my mouth continued to feel that way for several hours afterwards.

God that ending broke me. I'm so glad it isnt actually the end of the game, I can't imagine ending a time loop story with the character never getting out, just breaking down more and more...

Damn now I actually do want to see a game like that.
There's no good ending, there's only a downward spiral your character goes through until they've literally exhausted every option possible down to the last minute choices, only for their final choice to be embracing apathy and not even entertain the loop anymore, not bothering to interact or acknowledge anything as the cycle spirals in on itself to seconds of eternity passing like whirlpool swallowing itself.
They've killed everyone, saved everyone, in each possible quantifiable sequence, in every observable universe, they've done it and it all just comes back to the start.
Basically going through the entire 5 stages of grief, slamming face first into a brick wall at Depression, and never being able to go through it.
What happens to a man who's given the chance to relive a single moment in their life for the rest of eternity with no way to move on? He'll eventually stop trying.
Now what should we call this nihilistic psychological horror existentialist nightmare? Maybe 'Boros'?

in case anybody reads this: the video DOES NOT show the end of the game! If you're at all curious what happens, you should buy it! It's so cheap! It's permanently changed my brain chemistry. If you can't afford the price (for me it's £16) you CAN watch Jello's vods, you might not see everything the game has to offer but you'll get phenomenal voice acting in return and some pretty funny moments.

The voice acting for this is MIND BLOWING. I think this is the best voice acting I've heard on the channel so far?? Which is saying something. Singlehandedly made me buy the game. I'm watching the vods and the interview once I finish the game.
I actually really love how you cut out the ending and a lot of the major plot details. This was such a nice ad for such a great RPG.

The fucking "ma puce" bit with Savvy and Euphrasie hit me so out of left field as someone who half remembers the streams.
Bought this game to play it after watching to 1:43. I reeeeeeeeeeally wish the trigger warning was "the main character gets *fucked up* and there's _nothing you can do about it._
Hey in case jello wasn't explicit enough about it... this game is really, really good. If you are a fan of Mother, omori or any game with really charming characters and existential dread, this is the game for you. And if you aren't a fan of any of these, still play it, it's worth it and has much more content than a game should have for its price.
I love that the only color in this video is “only $20” at the end.
Edit: After rewatching the video I know this isn’t entirely true, but I honestly like it even more that all the noteworthy colored things are “Only $20”, man who has only seen Boss Baby, and a picture of Air Jordans on a stickman.

The best praise i could give this game to a newcomers is when the game finished, when jello said this is better than undertale everyone just unanimously agreed, i think even including chat. And if that isn't praise i don't know what is.

I just realised that Jello edited almost EVERYTHING in blackwhite monochrome.
Like in 4:38 Where that heart overlay is white and not pink or red like it usually is. And even Sav's avatar isn't in color. I love this!

I saw this video and read about it a couple months back. It sounded interesting enough, so I added it to a wishlist and skipped on the video. I bought it last week, finished it today, watching this video today.
Buy the game. I didn't think I could have a favorite game, as there were just too many. Never before has a game just cut to my core. Made me laugh, cry, anxious, and just sob in joy. Play this game. Its worth everything.

I love love love Love the tiny bits of characterization in this game, like Siffrin lying about wanting a cookie and Isabeau immediately being able to tell; and Siffrin being absolutely oblivious to what the bonding earrings are (just like their obliviousness to a certain someone's feelings lmao)
And, of course, the masterful foreshadowing of Siffrin saying everything's fine for the first time in the game and IMMEDIATELY getting crushed
I adored watching this playthrough and the video has just as much charm as when you all played it. Fantastic work as always!

26:39 No, actually. I had to do the same with OTHER people's self perception. Maybe it was not with my bare hands, just a few mogic boulders, but I had to crush the self-effacing image of quite a few friends over the years. They usually thank me for it. I had to have mine crushed as well, but it was less bad so it wasn't as thoroughly crushed as it should have. I still got a few vices and can't stand myself failing classes even when it's hopeless
