This absolutely rules, woah man. The overlapping voices are especially well done! They harmonize in such an enrapturing way and make me think of multiple Siffrins singing over top of each other through the loops. Also, I can't possibly be normal about the 'game over' motif being used to close the song out, I legit guffawed out loud after I heard it

Wow this is really beautiful! I'm not familiar with the game but you've really captured some beautiful ideas here and the shifts in language/overlapping vocals really create an atmosphere of uncertainty.
As someone who has played the game (In Stars and Time) would highly recommend playing or watching a playthrough of it (and/or it's proof of concept prequel START AGAIN a Prologue) if you're interested in the concepts/vibes on display here as this song VERY MUCH carried across the feel of the game's central conflict and well, it's good in song format but like, the actual full story in game is heart rending in the best/worst kind of way and definitely adds a lot more layers to this fanwork in the form of leitmotifs being referenced, specific patterns of thought from the game's protagonist, etc. So um. Yeah =D Done my ISaT fan duty of reccing the game and also highly recommend checking out other fansongs and fan animations for the game sometime since there's a lot of really good ones (though admittedly I think this is probably the best one not outright doing certain ingame scenes for 'soft haunting' vibes so far). Also recommending the game's OST in general since well, if you're only into music it's an unexpectedly nice treat and though everyone has their fav tracks I've GOT to recommend the track *The House (Trapped)* as being an absolute master piece for its mix of haunting, beautiful and 'discomforting/oppressive' vibes~

AWESOME I don't even know where to start The vocals add so much to this, how it sounds like Siffrin's on the verge of tears in some of the lines, the echoing adds to the air of loneliness and melancholy and I can hear the desperation in some places you're really good at putting emotion The french and reversed lyrics are so cool, along with the callbacks to in-game things And I like the teather references, with scripts and cues and lines, just like in canon Siffrin's seeing it like a play AND THE ENDING! I already talked about the overlapping, but the lyrics themselves are great too: Vocal 1 sounds like Siffrin trying to remember the country, their past, anything from who they were. Vocal 2 is talking about stars, and how what was presumably a source of comfort for them became a grim reminder of what they can never get back. Vocal 3 references Euphraise' and her monologue about "something broken, rotting" and how victory doesn't matter. Vocal 4 sounds like Siffrin repeating to themselves "one more time, I can get it right this time, just have to do it again", it's repeating and kinda feels like they're begging someone or something. Vocal 5 is directly what Siffrin's family tells him at the end of the Bigfrin battle, it contrasts with all the other vocals being so desperate/depressing. Can't really point a lot out of vocal 6, I think it's kinda how the constant spiraling (hehe, like the name) in circles is making Siffrin's mental health pummel down into the core of the Earth. Vocal 7 gives me the mental image of the shadow versions of the party repeating it, it's similar to the "tell us tell us tell us" but like a dark version, about how Siffrin feels responsible for fixing this on their own and "saving" their family from being stuck repeating the same things over and over. Vocal 8 gives me BIG end of act three cutscene vibes, tho it can be about basically any time some other party member dies, Siffrin hates it when someone other than him is at risk of getting killed, and the "make it not real" "death can't have you" hit me particularly hard tbh. Vocal 9 is another simple yet hurting one, it's Siffrin feeling like he doesn't matter to his family. And vocal 10 seems to me like it is referencing the battle against Mal Du Pays, with it telling Siffrin that they should be dead And now that we're speaking of that fight, the main lyrics of the end sound like it's Siffrin's feelings/thought during that part, just them asking to finally be able to die and get rest, and how they think they'll fail their friends no matter what they do, and I really really like it

I used to do musical theater and opera, which is where I learned some of my techniques. If I were to try and put it simply... Voice training is using your voice daily in order to stretch your vocal range and strengthen your vocal abilities! It's practicing things like singing scales and proper breathing techniques, or things like singing using the weakest part of your vocal range to strengthen it! It's like you'd practice an instrument, or any other skill really~

@@Theoriginalautismer7790 I assume that's a serious question, yes? Vocal training is something that most singers do, professional or otherwise! I used to do musical theater and opera, which is where I learned some of my techniques. If I were to try and put it simply... Voice training is using your voice daily in order to stretch your vocal range and strengthen your vocal abilities! It's practicing things like singing scales and proper breathing techniques, or things like singing using the weakest part of your vocal range to strengthen it! It's like you'd practice an instrument, or any other skill really~

Hey, what font do you use for "Celestial" ? What is it ?
Thanks for asking! It's actually a font I made myself--the Celestial alphabet is from a game called Drakengard, and for the font, I wrote them out by hand and then converted that to a font format :D I'm happy to provide a DL link if you would like!
