Never enough of Dacob. 🥰 Been a fan for years and forever will be. No better Chanel reviewer, perfumery poet and curator than you. Thank you for all that you've been doing all these years and Happy New Year 2024. May it bring happiness, positive energy, success and peace. Went through a lot last year too and all I wish to myself now is inner peace. XOXO Anna
I agree with your take on Coco Mad, how it's become timeless. I have a theory that what has happened the last decade with the rise in overwhelming oud, grotesque gourmand, vulgar Bac 540, and the onslaught of ambroxan chemical musks is that Coco Mad objectively smells really good on people and works in all settings. I think there are pockets of consumers that fuel the trends we've been drowning in, but a good chunk of the market doesn't eff with fads and values classic, high quality perfumery. So, something like Coco Mad not only captures a moment in history before we became overtly lost, despondent and mentally ill, but it's a relief compared to the low quality, poor-performing and ill-inspired cash grabs of the moment. I'm noticing that I rely on fragrances that take me to a different time and place, and I think/project that a lot of people would rather mentally reside in the early 2000s than this pre-apocalyptic, post-modern Freudian death-driven shitshow.
I was late to the Chance party when these fragrances were released but now years later, I admit, I adore Chance EDT 😅 (That pineapple note, and the patchouli!). Dare I say, I think this Chance has earned the “classic Chanel” designation at this point. Dacob, going off topic (Chanel fragrances) I wonder, have you tried a great other-than-Chanel-fragrance for January, which is a chypre from Rochas…”Femme”? The older version is a pdt and has oakmoss, and since 1989, the Olivier Cresp version of EDT has cumin). They both have plum and peach. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one.
Dacob raiding my perfume cabinet! 😂😂😂 I love each of these beauties, Chance edt has really grabbed my heart 💓 this last year too, hope 2024 is kinder to you and all of us Dacob, fantastic review as always ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
Hi Dacob. I am always so happy when you talk about perfumes I love 🙂 and I am blown away by your thoughts… ❤ Thank you. Oh one more thing I changed my nickname -dont wanna show my real surname for my own safety - but you can see it , right? Katka
Hi Katka 🥰💖 I can only see the current username you chose to use, which is the public one you set for everybody to see. I do not see your past user name. 💖🌅
I love Allure sensuelle!! I get more compliments from that, than I do any of my Chanel's. I have them all. A man once told me I smelled very alluring. I started laughing. Interesting choice of words I thought.❤
Hi Dacob, Chance remains a beautiful frangance! Coco mademoiselle to me, has never been a coco's flanker, but, it completly erased it , I'm sure that most nowadays mademoiselle's lovers, never smelt the original 80's coco! And you make a point, we can't compare this decade to ours, perfums were much stronger, and, people had their signature fragance, nobody would collect bottles like we do today, it cost too much at the time! I remember when Chanel, YSL or Guerlain launched something, it was like THE thing everybody was talking about, it took to have relationships in the luxury world to get a bottle, because there was no sephora in every corner!😜So, wearing these "classics", really meant something...I'm being nostalgic...🤭🤫Love you🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yay you mentioned Allure 🎉🎉 Because I just buy Allure (edp) today with 25% blue Monday sale. Even tough I didn't get the Sensuelle one but I'm happy Allure is in your January list 🥰 First I tried Allure Sensuelle on my hair as a hair mist.. and I find a little bit screechy for cold winter weather (maybe I shouldn't try on my hair) then I decided to get the eau de perfume Allure instead.
Thank you for reminding me about Allure Sensuelle! I find it and Coco Mademoiselle wonderful non-offensive but still interesting choices for cool weather. I wish I had tried earlier versions of Coco. I don't find the current version very interesting. Agree on Coromandel. I love the pure parfum version but it is more of a going out choice.
2 sprays of Chanel Antaeus on a brisk cold damp UK morning in London works wonderfully throughout the whole day

I love this list. Going to try Chance edt very soon!!! Thanks, as always, for showing us all the poetic soul of perfumes❤
Thank you Finley 🥰🙏🏻💖
Hello Dacob. Can you please make a video of ultra clean and extremely cold scents?
Wow - what a great observation regarding the era of Coco and smoking! You are absolutely right! I remember all that
Those were the days…

I love wearing Coco this time of year!
Me too 🥰
Great list Dacob. I have all but the last one. You do such a wonderful job describing these fragrances.
Thank you Dawn 🥰🙏🏻💖

Back in the day Chanel definitely knew what they were doing when they chose the names for their perfumes 🥰

I treated myself a 100ml bottle of Chance Eau Fraîche EDP💚
Congratulations 🎊

They are both wonderful 🥰💫
What's your opinion on Jean Paul Gautier's Fragile parfum?
I like it.
you are so poetic and sometimes romantic in your deskription of perfume. You should write the deskription of the perfumes at chanel instead
Coco has zest but needs time and probably an older batch could help there too.
Thank u Dacob I really enjoyed the video ❤, lori
Thank you Lori 🥰🙏🏻💖
Loveee the selection! ❤️
Thank you 🥰🙏🏻💫
I'm trying to understand the badge code.
My Bel Respiro is 8801, what is the age of my bottle?
Why is there no badge number on a 200 ml bottle of Chanel exclusive, but there is on a 75 ml bottle?
Love you ❤❤❤
There is always a batch code on every authentic chanel perfume bottle, no matter the size.
Saludos desde Costa Rica.
Saludos a ti Karol 🥰💖
I love COCO very much. Often I tried to … like COCO MADEMOISELLE, but it never works with us. The only CHANEL fragrance I avoid. :/
… and I liked to smoke Luckies, pearl tipped Cartier and even Eve. 😁
