My husband and I were grocery shopping once & a beautiful older woman walked past us. I smelled her perfume, did not recognize it but it smelled so good. I asked her what she was wearing. It was Shalimar. She said her husband had brought it back for her during WWII. He bought her that fragrance often she said. He had passed away and I think she was so happy to share that story with me 🥰
Hola Dacob 🎉! Me ha encantado está selección de fragancias para Otoño que nos has traído hoy. Todas verdaderas joyas de la perfumería! Un gran abrazo 😊!
Hi Dacob! Of all these, I only know the scent of Shalimar. To me, Shalimar is somewhat elite and slightly extravagant. I have never owned a bottle. Perhaps it is time. 😊 I have to say, that right now I crave the scent of floral waters as something completely old fashioned. Also, a burt sugar vanilla with a trace of tobacco. I am extremely interested in trying a Middle Eastern/ Arabic version of such. Trying to learn a bit about those. As always, your presentation is greatly appreciated! Thank you Bubbles for the Autumn scene! ❤🧡🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Wearing Sycomore today in honor of you and this beautiful video Dacob…I may have told you once before I first smelled Sycomore literally during a giant travel related fight with my husband and I was also a little ill. I had a hard time shaking the negative association I had with the scent-I could barely smell it because of that. Your reviews and descriptions of it broke me through so now I’m able to really enjoy it…thank goodness because I love fall, I love woods, I love all the those connotations. You’re the best ❤❤❤
Love this one so much. The Shalimar Millésime Jasmine is out and quite nice but nothing like the Iris or Tonka. But I’m an Iris and Tonka fan. Not so much of Jasmine.
I love your outlook, poetic, conceptual, but never wishy-washy, authoritative, but never domineering. It allows me to feel like I can understand these fragrances even though I can`t smell them through the screen. Not since John Waters` polyester has smell-o-vision been so effective! And furthermore, the proof is in the pudding, because since your viewpoint is so clear, and I feel such a resonance with it on the other end of the telegraph, everything I have blind-bought on your recommendation has been an out-of-the-park knockout! Thank you for communicating an entire sensory category so well though a medium which fundamentally cannot transmit it.
Syncomore is on my wishlist for fall and winter. Thank you for your recommendation. I love the way you describe each one of your fragrances. How beautiful!❤
Hi Dacob how are you? Really enjoyed this video, love your selection ❤️ By the way, I know we agree with the non over consuming perfumes, but have you tried the new Shalimar millesime de jasmin? Men, I so fell in love with this...I would describe it as a deep, dark, smoked, essence of pure jasmin, mixed with a vintage version of Shalimar. A real beautiful creation, not "trendy" at all, like, nothing to do with the boring white flowers' fragrances we smell everywhere. This one is, at least, even better than the original 😅 This fall, I'm all about Guerlain and Chanel number 5...Let me know your thoughts on this new millesime if you get to smell it 😉 🍁🍂 Love you.🖤🤍🩷
I still haven’t smelled Shalimar in my lifetime! I went to Nordstrom + Bloomingdale’s and none had it….so weird! I don’t want to buy something I can’t get the scent of.
I love your content I been following you 10 years ago. by the way Chanel #5 eau de parfum isn’t long last any more. I’m disappointed Chanel bc they raised $ each years for lesser quality I feel they have cheated it’s still classic ? well.
I put Shalimar Millésime Iris in my rotation once Fall started too ☺... I bought the new Shalimar Millésime Jasmin edition a couple weeks ago Dacob. If you acquire it, i'll look forward to your review. My first impression, it needs a few more months to mature or I need to wear it in colder weather. All the best, Cristy
Dacob, it’s a real treat for my soul to listen to you talking about perfumes. You make them even more poetic. And your references to literature and art… 🥹Tutta l’opera di Proust è semplicemente incredibile. È da un po’ che vorrei leggere La Recherche. 😍😍🥰🥰🥰💖💖❤️❤️ Lots of love from Rome🫶🏻💕

Thanks for the list. Your reviews are pure poetry.
Beautiful review as always! Can’t wait for a cooler weather. While it’s still 100 degrees in Vegas 🤦♀️🥵

I actually layered my Shalimar Millisime Iris with Shalimar EDP or edt and it’s gorgeous to.

This year it’s Shalimar Millisime Jasmin… I’ve placed my order in, but many people have already have theirs.

Such an interesting story about why we dress up on Halloween 😱. I’ve never heard that.
