Acola won two major Japanese tournaments (Kanto and Kansai) in one week.
He is definitely the best in Japan right now.
You're selling Japanese players short if you think 2 tournament wins overturns every top player there.
That being said Acola is an amazing prodigy and it wouldnt be surprising if he did take that top spot one day
@@alenshirvanyan473 who knows, zackray and proto who are consider top 1-2 in japan have 2 major wins this year too, and i don't think acola has losing records vs any japanese top player as well
@@Kapito22 true but Zackray and proto have far more credibility built from years of high tournament placings, and while its impressive that acola can keep such a good record this early, its not enough data to know for sure
Plus people will learn how to play the matchup and his specific style and adapt to it
Again that said, I don't want to downplay acola's ungodly skill, im just saying this is only the start of his legendary journey

@@user-th5gf7mv2r Yeah insane results, Tea is wildly considered a top 10 player and Shuton isn't far either, but since he's yet to battle top international players it's hard to say exactly. Rooting for him!

Acola should def be invited by BTS for Ult Summit 5 later this year. Like he has won back to back Japanese majors over Shuton, Tea, Yoshidora, Gackt,etc.
Acola, Shuton, and Zackray/Proto/Tea would be a pretty good line up for a Ult Summit
Yeah definitely I hope at least 3 Japanese players go. For me I’d love acola, zackaray, and proto but I feel like if anything the 3 most likely would be acola, shuton, and tea/proto cause zackaray has been focusing on Pokémon unite instead.
@@egp13 Ult Summit 5 is in September, and I believe Zackray comes back to Smash in August so it is a possibility. But yeah Shuton/Acola/Proto is prob the Summit line up

Doesn't Acola show off the cool stuff though? He's the first player to make me really look at the character in awe at how cool his design is if optimized.
I really like the way Steve is implemented in smash its true to his original game and watching him is always fascinating. Look there are no other top level Steve’s at the level of Acola so you have to know he’s really skilled.
