It's one of the greatest shows of all time. One of the perfectly written three seasons.
dark is a masterpiece where everything makes sense if you think about it.
This show will challenge you. You can't get distracted by your phone while watching, you'll miss something. It's the best series. Full number one for me. And to be watched in German for sure!
Dark is fascinating. I'm used to time travel plots and complicated shows (I watch Doctor Who since I was a kid, I've seen every David Lynch's movie or show...). With Dark I was lost half of the time...but I loved every minute!!
If there is one perfect show, it's DARK.
One rare thing about it is that all 3 seasons were more or less planned out in advance by the main writer (Jantje Friese) so the quality is very consistent. The performances are best enjoyed in the original German w/ subtitles. If you enjoy time travel shows/movies it is definitely a must watch.

Watched the first two seasons and really really liked it, but personally the third season was what made it for me. It was a gratifying and cathartic experience for sure.
It's not kid friendly at all.
Oke, so Dark is probably one of the best scripts ever written for any show (with Script I mean the story, not the dialogue). Even if you don't like any other part of Dark (which is rare) I think at least that everybody should agree on.
That's by the way also the reason why your sentence "lasted 3 Seasons" most modern shows but definitely not Dark. Before they filmed the first episode they had all 3 Season including the Ending planned which means that there was no possibility of it getting extended and if they would have been cancelled it would have been incomplete
This show is really something special. It's complicated (I recommend to take some notes, eg making family trees) and it requires all your attention to follow it and not getting frustrated. It's normal that you have a lot of questions after every episode. But you will get the answers soon - just to leave you with even more questions in the following episodes 😀
Soundtrack, writing, casting (!), acting are top quality.
