Even though Noah is not technically the antagonist, he felt like the perfect villain!
I think that one of the reasons why this series was so good was that they had the whole plot planned from the begining and they did not try to extend it into an infinite loop of seasons when it got popular. Also how original was the story, it is very different from the usual series that are put out all the time. And a good family tree is the one on the official page, because it gets updated according to the episode that you choose and that way you can avoid spoilers.
Yes that's true. But the story is so complex, there was no other way. They had to plan it from beginning to end.

I'm the type to spoil myself a bit before watching a series known to be difficult to follow... so I looked at family trees a bit and didn't absorb a single thing. So, I think it's safe accidentally seeing a 5 second clip of the family tree without knowing a single thing about the series beforehand haha
He basically spoiled the ending by calling the characters "fake people" 😂
And if shows like Game of thrones were planned out like Dark was, maybe the end wouldn’t have sucked.
It’s partly George’s fault, he should’ve planned too. There were too many subplots that were enough to make 3 books out of. I have no fucking clue how he’s going to finish all of them in one, without flopping like the last two Seasons.
If George has planned, then maybe there would have been more Seasons or the last two wouldn’t have sucked so much.

There’s a problem with planning ahead and not having room to wiggle out of... like with how I met your mother... they were “trapped” in the finale of the mother dying, that then it became a burden.

The rest of the world is used to watching US movies with subtitles. Good opportunity for English-speakers to get used to subtitles as well.
It really takes just a few minutes and you don't even notice anymore.

Was Noah anyone else’s favorite character? The actor who played him was initially terrifying, and then extremely sympathetic as we come to learn more about him.

... but he was killing all those kids. In my world, that makes him evil. None of the characters were 'good people'. I kinda hated all of them. Good show, but the characters were selfish, secretive, violent, and deceiving. Hm. Just like real people.

Jonas is the only figure witch is only exist one time in all 3 Worlds. all others are in both worlds (Adams & Evas Worlds) if Jonas is killed in his "youth", no mid aged (the stranger) and no ADAM can exist ... typical grandfather problem in time traveling ...

can you define underrated for me? Practically every channel I go to has dozens of comments on this show and it doesn't even matter that the video I watched has nothing to do with Dark. maybe underhyped is a better word? undermarketed?
I think in the United States it's underrated because it's a german masterpiece... In Latin América it's a huge show with a big fandom
It's probably the most brilliant show I have ever seen. I can't say it was my favorite thing to actually watch since sometimes it was too slow and too confusing, but once you start unraveling the storylines it is genius. The level of detail is unlike anything I've ever seen before; almost every line, frame, character and even prop is there for a reason, and when you look back at the earlier episodes you realize that the clues were there all along and it all connects and makes sense. Not to mention the amazing acting, editing, directing, scoring, etc.
After season 2 I was really... not apprehensive, but anxious to start the 3rd season because it had been so long and the story is so intricate. But once I re-read season recaps it made a BIT more sense. What I ended up doing was having a character map / family tree open on my laptop and I'd pause it whenever a different version of a character was mentioned. It made watching the 3rd season SOO much more enjoyable.
But the series does take some work to watch, which I get why that wouldn't attract people. Even if it's totally worth it.
I agree, but the one thing that was frustrating as hell was they all kept playing the pronoun game constantly. "He did it!"

I went in thinking it would be “german stranger things” because small town, kid goes missing, blinky lights. MY GOD I was wrong. It’s become my favourite tv show ever. Full of twists and turns and constantly kept my brain going

Dark spoilers would not really take away the fun in watching the show.. it would maybe reduce the intrigue, but if viewers pay attention to details it would still blow their minds away
I watched Dark multiple times, despite already knowing the ending I still end up mindblown to the details that I missed during my first time watching
WHAT!? Your one criticism you could come up with was the casting!? I couldn't believe how great the casting was. It's one of my favorite parts of the show.

This became my 3rd favorite show of all time after episode 5. Saw the first episode twice in a row. Never done that in my life with a show. Music, acting, story, emotion is all on point. This show is phenomenal. Can’t wait to watch it again

This show is utterly incredible and way way more people need to watch it. I'm so glad it's catching on finally. If enough people watch this maybe we'll start getting more good quality Netflix originals that keep pushing boundaries instead of the same boring rom-com tropes being churned out over and over again!

Imo, It needed a few more episodes in-between the storyline to flesh out some of the side characters or show the parts that werent shown, like how agnes met tronte's father (CLT)
But they still dragged it to three seasons

@@kalleschwowell8062 eh, there's two of Jonas running around. A Jonas gets shot but the Jonas who doesn't meet Alt World Marta survives (schrodinger's cat). This is the Jonas who becomes Adam.
@@Rebe8d89AH that is not right. Jonas exists only once, he is the only figure that is "unique" and therefore cannot be "double". here is a simple example that explains this error. it is the typical grandfather problem of time travel, so:
Situation 1:
Let's assume Jonas travels back one day in the past to his "I" from the day before. that is, "Jonas Today" visits "Jonas yesterday". then "yesterday" there are 2 jonas. ok, now Martha comes and shoots "Jonas Today". "Jonas yesterday" survives, it will be the next day, he travels back, is shot and so on. he is caught in a time loop in which there is no "day after tomorrow" because Jonas is dead.
Situation 2:
"Jonas Today" visits "Jonas yesterday". martha comes and shoots "Jonas Yesterday" then "Jonas Today" cannot exist because he was shot the day before. so Jonas can't get older and Adam doesn't exist. this is the typical "grandfather paradox" because Jonas is unique. this is also easy to recognize from the fact that jonas is never mirrored, because Adam's world and Eva's world are mirror-inverted, which can be clearly seen from the scratch under Martha's eye and also from the kitchen in the Kahnwald house. In Adam's world the fridge is on the right and in Eva's world on the left. the cooling tower of the power plant in Adam's world on the left and in Eva's world on the right ...

I watched the trailer for this a while back, downloaded it ready to watch, yet still didn't watch it. After the usual late night scrolling on UA-cam I came across a video essay on why you should watch Dark and I was sold. Watched the first season in 2 days, got my brother involved so we could watch it together and I still couldn't wait for him to get them finished. I'm so glad I started watching it - the time in which I finished season 2 coincided with the release of the third and final season - and would highly recommend to everyone! An absolute masterpiece

I finished 1 season per sitting in like four days. The third day I got home from work early, sat down with season 3 episode 1 paused on my tv, and just thought about what I saw in season 2 the day before... and then I realized it was DARK outside and I needed to go to sleep to wake up in time for work. Haven't done that since I was a teenager... a long, long time ago... ...or since I was was a teenager a long, long time ago... ...in the future existing now yesterday today.

I think one of the things I loved the most was the fact that it was planned out, by the end they didn’t leave any unanswered questions (besides wöller’s eye but I think that’s for a different type of reach) It was perfectly planned and deserves so much recognition.

Well duh. I actually feel sorry for Ulrich. The man, loses his brother, son, get's acussed of a horrible crime, sent back in time, gets accused of more crimes and then sent to the nut house.
Best film/series I have ever seen. So well done in an understatement. Watched it 5X's.... Will watch it again, can't get tired of it.
