The show really did rest on Ragnar. Without him you notice how empty all other charcters/stories are on their own. Strange how they then zoned out the OG characters still in the show, Floki, Rollo etc.

Just so you all know, Ragnar is more or less a myth. It is assumed most of his triumphs are by multiple people. The closet character to history is Rollo, and Bjorn in some cases. But Rollo's story, besides being Ragnar's brother is rooted in history more than any other character because the French actually recorded history, Vikings didnt really record their history through texts.
this actually isn't true, Ragnar was assumed a myth until evidence of The Sons Of Ragnar being real was discovered

@@holdenketron272 yeah, when you see ragnar in his last moment when he is looking to ecbert, he opened his EYE (because the other one is fucked up haha) and he realized that ecbert knew about his true intentions and thats the reason why the seer was right, the true blind man was ecbert and later ecbert said to aethelwulf that he has to prepare the army for the attack so he knew it lol

The seer said you will die on the day that the blind man sees you, and the blind mans saw ragnar a day BEFORE he died, that's why ragnar smiled and said "it will be at least another day before I am put to death." the seer was wrong.
The blind man was ecbert, he was blind to Ragnar end plan.
He thought he will be spared by ragnar sons.
The Seer's prophecy didn't come true.
The Seer said "You will die *the* *day* the blind man sees you." He didn't die until several days later. That is why when the blind man said he saw him Ragnar asked "when will we get to king Aella's?" and blind man said "Not until tomorrow," Ragnar immediately smiled and said (now to the Seer), "It will be at least another day before I am put to death. You and your gods are wrong." At that moment he knew he would not die *the* *day* the blind man saw him. If the blind man saw him on day 1, they got to Aella's on day 2. Then they showed him the night of day 2 being stabbed through the cage by soldiers as well as him dreaming of Lagetha, Bjorn, etc. On day 3 he was tortured by Aella. That night they showed him again in the cage again with him dreaming of family with Aethelstan's prayer in the background merging in to the soldiers saying prayer on the morning of day 4. On day 4 he was finally killed. Again, that is why Ragnar smiled and told the Seer "It will be at least another day before I am put to death. You and your gods are wrong. You see, I guided my fate. I fashioned the course of my life and my death. ME. Not you, not the gods, me. I was my idea to come here to die." Ragnar wanted to prove the gods/the seer wrong (likely to confirm his own beliefs concerning prophecy and the gods not existing, plus it appeared he wanted to die anyways; this part is just my opinion based on nothing but my interpretation). Even the Seer himself seemed to know he was wrong at that point which is why he told Ragnar (concerning the gods and prophecy) "I am only the Seer. I have walked among the lowest of the dead and I have groped for meaning, and I may have been wrong."
This reaction is a dream come true. I hope you guys do more reactions to Zurik 23M's videos. They are truly spectacular.
Don't forget that the seer said "I may have been wrong" in that same scene.

@10:10 nooo you misunderstand why Ragnar said that he chose his fate and the day he died! The Seer said that he will die the DAY the blind man sees him...Ragnar dies the next day, therefore to Ragnar he guided his own death and proved the Gods didn't exist
