Sabotage is literally the definition of situational as not every map even has vehicles to sabotage. By your own reckoning, sabotage should therefore be ranked down, lol. Bacta is always good in every map, should be ranked highest- It not only keeps you alive, but your soldiers too. Also, I like to get extra supplies whilst being a sniper- it’s nice to not have to keep going back to ammo droid especially on maps like kashyyyk. That is situational though. Garrison is also situational as if you are good enough and your reinforcement count doesn’t drop too low, you won’t even use the bonus every time, making it a waste.
No space battles are not situational and it garantees the win, its a must have for space battles and additionally super good for some ground battles as well,
i gotta say Supplies is a hill ill die on as S tier. cheapest in the game and thst ammo difference is huge if you live long lives, and on small spaced maps its OP. Garrison bonus relies on you almost being out of troops before it helps. Supplies is a proactive bonus. and makes space battles pretty much over
Bacta tank is my personal favourite, the thing that I die from the most in game is chip damage from multiple consecutive fire fights while traversing the map. Paired with the permanent Guardian medal bonus, I often go 2-4 missions in a row with 0 deaths. Sabotage is goated on Space Battles tho - I usually run 2 bacta 1 sabotage cause I don’t really need the leader bonus, but it’s fun to use every now and then on the right map with the right hero.
Sabotage is definitely more map-dependant than must have imo. Even in space battles the effects are iffy because if you immediately head into space for a fight you'll see enemy fighters that are already back at full health. While you CAN camp the low HP ships for ez points, it's still way more efficient to just go in and deal with all internal systems. Supplies bonus is great early on if you're missing engineers to repair health and ammo droids, and even if you do have Engineers recruited getting 10 healing packs with them turns them into utter monsters. There's also other synergies like Snipers + Supplies on maps like Kashyyyk which let you pick off dozens of enemy units before needing to restock.
Massively disagree about auto turrets. They're somewhat useful when your team is absolute poop and loses command posts faster than you capture them. Yes, it's still a mediocre bonus, but definitely not trash. Unguarded command post with autoturret is better than one without And supplies are good in space battles if you play as Republic/Rebels because it also increases the limited torpedoes in an LA-AT. With 70 torpedoes you can blow up the frigates, bridge and sensor array, then land in the enemy hangar and blow up everything else.
Couldnt have said it better, garrison bonus is truly the best bonus. And when your playing as the empire its fun to see the rebels get mowed down by a swarm of stormtroopers as grenades fly everywher
if you're playing rebels then keeping at least one sabotage around in case hoth gets invaded is really good, making the at-ats spawn with a fraction of their health is great
when I was a kid, I pretty much exclusively used the garrison bonus early on, and then I'd occasionally use the leader bonus just for the fun of it, and I think it's cool that I nailed it back then. I didn't use the sabotage bonus too much though because it just made the space battles too easy, and I liked (still do) destroying the ship from the outside
I will say, auti turrets are annoyjng in the old version due to the inconsistency of the grenades. Its also a lot better in split screen bc the ai is stupid and has no clue how to take a command post when an auto turret is there lmao.
One thing about stamina boost on space battles, it allows you to take more evasive maneuvers and give you more speed boosts. Helps if youre a bomber or gunship avoid the fighters/interceptors. I always would have one in my setup for that reason
@5:09 Leader bonus was 1,000 credits on the original 2005 version + the downloaded version on Xbox 360, so unless they've changed it since then, it's still 1,000 credits making it the most expensive bonus of all
I always keep a Garrison bonus in reserve, I find it usually makes all the difference between getting smashed or not, especially on some planets on specific factions
I remember how annoying the garrison bonus was as a kid when the enemy used it. It can be frustrating when u know u were the better team but lost bc they simply had more units.
My must haves are the auto turrets and extra supplies bonus. The supplies for space and turrets for planets. I used to use reinforcements but once you get really good and know the maps it near useless because you'll never lose so much troops to need it. And the turrets are good because the npc don't know how to deal with them that well. I can literally take mustafar in about 3 mins. Or less I'll still have around 120-130 by the time we win.
I love the auto turrent bonus ngl. But I also nearly always play engineer and the fusion cutter can be used to repair the auto turrets. They are insanely good on maps where the enemy tends to flank you (i.e. Naboo, Felucia, Geonosis, Endor, etc.) It's great for getting that one unit that manages to get behind your lines and cap a command post, forcing you to run back and recapture it. It's also good on maps where you need to defend such as Kashyyyk as the Republic/Rebels. The turret also respawns when the command post is contested until it is fully converted. So honestly they can last for awhile and are enough to deter bots. It won't really do much against another player though.
The supply bonus is only useful in space battles when playing as the Clones or the Rebels. The reason for this is to give extra missles to the LAAT so that you can do more work on the exterior of the enemy ship before parking it in their hanger.
I typically use the energy boost bonus whenever I get into a space battle, that way it costs 200 credits and a victory in space grants 300 credits. It's really helpful for doing maneuvers while in a spaceship!
If you use the Fake Console, you can actually sort of stack bonuses. Only one bonus can be "active" but you can have leftover effects of another. For example, I can start with Combat Shielding, then after spawning swap to Bacta Tanks. Only the units already spawned will have the shields, but once those wear out the bacta kicks in. You can also activate Garrison if you need it then swap back to another bonus. I like to mess with this in Instant Action but I admit it feels cheap to cheat like this in Galactic Conquest
In my opinion the leader bonus is the best one. It is expensive for sure, but if you are able to win all your matches, which with a leader is pretty much a garrentee, you get enough credits to restock it. It is also the most fun bonus to use especially if you play the cis and you get tod use darth maul. Still amazing list bro
@@bubbajoe117 But I wouldn't burn 600 points on Sabotage on a map with no vehicles, like Mustafar, Dagobah or the like. So isn't that map dependent as well?
Bacta best bonus. Basically better combat shielding and gives overall better survivability to you and ur units. 90 percent of the time it saves so many unit deaths. Since it can end up taking a extra bullet of a few to kill someone.
Supplies is one that gets more useful as you play, becoming incredible when you are basically a god at the game. If the CPU simply can never touch you, if you regularly achieve deathless victories in maps, if you have all the award weapons permanently unlocked, if you can sit down on the Geonosis training map and reach quadruple digit kill streaks, then it's just amazing because it saves you so much time scavenging ammo. Of course by that point you don't really need help of anything, and giving yourself the treat of playing a hero character (wich all of them are stupid broken if you know how to use them) can be very addictive, so I won't blame anyone that takes the leader bonus over it.
Supplies bonus is honestly one that I do not go without. If you have a good routine in a space battle and use the Supplies bonus you can fight through the whole match in one life. Garrison is my go to for land battles. I usually keep my third spot open so I can use it more tactically, like if I know I'm gonna try and conquer a specific planet so I'll buy a bonus with that specific planet in mind, but the first two slots always go to Garrison and Supplies
Supplies in Space Battle is great. I can blow up the enemy auto defense mainframe and still have enough to take out the engines and life support, leading to easy points
Bacta tanks for ground battles. Healing means you lose less garrision to your troops not healing up between fights, and lets *you* heal up between fights so you can be more agressive more often. Sabatoge for space battles, especially after the other side has bought marines. Your guys will be eatting theirs alive and earning tons of VP while you work on their systems.
Supply bonus is one of my favorites for space battles if I don’t have a sabotage bonus. It makes destroying a ship from the inside so much easier. And usually I’ll be more likely to pick hero bonus if the enemy takes auto turrets. A lightsaber can one-shot an enemy auto turret.
Great video! Had many matches where a garrison bonus was what changed a losing match into a winning one. I feel some of the lower tier bonuses could easily be like a secondary bonus you could use with your main if that were an option. Not huge for winning the match, but a little extra help.
im going by memory but i always felt that, the enhanced blaster bonus was better because it was a constant active difference for the whole team, like the only time the garrison bonus gets used for me was if i was losing hard (like on endor when you're playing as imperials) and by that point 20 soldiers didn't make up the difference most of the time anyway, also i'd put supplies bonus on map dependant for reasons you stated, it just speeds things up for me
In galactic conquest the only troops I buy are snipers, demolitions, and either the dark trooper, bothan spy, droideka (a must when you play the CIS) and the jet trooper depending how I feel and if I'm struggling in matches (which is not too often). I mostly use snipers cause they can one shot nearly all classes and the only two bonuses I use are sabotage for space battles and auto turrets for ground maps as a sort of insurance as they buy me 3-4 seconds as I snipe everything in sight and they are more focused on the turrets than me (I also drop the sniper auto turret near me when I snipe for the same reason).
My family would be very competitive with this and we would play for hours on end. So with someone with a lot of experience I agreed with every position of the tier list
I would always play with Garrison, Sabotage.... And autoturrets. Some maps like Dagobah, Naboo, and Coruscant there was always a particular command post that both factions would fight over, plus there was a lot of command posts on those maps, so I felt like autoturrets could help me out a little on those maps. Garrison I would use for either attacking or defending base planets. and Sabotage I would use for Space Battles or Geonosis if I was playing as the CIS, that AT-TE was just too OP.
I only ever played SP, so I liked the auto turrets a little better. Hero bonus was definitely level dependent, but I also liked the ones that were less energy dependent to get around maps so I didn't really like Yoda and suited Vader as much since they were so slow apart from the sprints. I liked Anakin/pre-suit Vader, Ayala, Maul, etc. among the force users, but my favorite was probably the Fetts since you had an award rifle paired with a jet pack.
Supply bonus is honestly a must buy for me because the space battles are tedious after awhile especially against the AI who will literally spam space battle given the chance, playing as the pilot class allows you to speed run through space battles. This is mainly early to mid game though and sentry turrets are actually decent on certain maps at like Mygeeto
supplies is ngl the best choice for space battles other than sabotage, 7 bombs is enough to get rid of a few crucial things like the engines and life support in one run
Ive found in pvp Auto turrets secure a win with more consistency then the garrison bonus which is absolutely insane and i did not predect it but they just tear through npcs and each command point needs a player to babysit its capture when they have an auto turret.
I always have a bacta tank bonus on hand just because ally bots are useless, and that extra health is just what I need for long battles like Utapau, Dagobah and Geonosis. I never thought much about the sabotage bonus, I'll give it a try next time I play.
Bacta Tanks is simply the move. Can't count how many times I get screwed over by either health drop RNG or my teammates picking up health I desperately need. Bonus goes hard FR
Sabo is map dependent, its very good in the situations that really need it like space battles but on ground battles its often meh. If the map has no vehicles its useless. Garrison is the only must. Since its bad in exactly 0 cases and its honestly op if the ai takes a garrison bonus then you honestly have to or run at a massive disadvantage. Ive only played the classic BF2 not the remake.
Hey auto turrets may suck especially for ground but the enemy team used it for space battle and I almost lost. Anytime I was by a ship they all locked on me like I was the only ship in space. Normally I use leader bonuses but since I was trying to get all the trophies so I used all garrison bonus
Here's a question I'd like to open up, what's your opening move for a new galactic conquest campaign? As a kid I'd always pick up a few garrison bonuses because of how OP they are, especially in the early game. But lately I've been using those opening credits to get an engineering unit, and I'm really liking the utility they provide
Hot take but i find Garrison more of a situational bonus than a must. Assuming you don't have a strategy they're only good for Endor, Geonosis and Polis Massa. For space battles either Sabotage or Supplies will do the trick. I often go with Supplies to speed up the destruction of the enemy inside ship Auto turrets are great against the CPU, i always pick those With all that, here's my tier list Must: Supplies and Auto turrets Map dependent: Garrison, Enhanced blasters, Leader and Sabotage You want a challenge: Bacta tanks Trash: Combat shielding and Energy boost
Only ones I ever use is supplies for space battles because I like to board the ships, garrison because duh. And I save the hero bonus for if it’s the last planet I need to capture in galactic assault
Honestly, Auto-turrets is a decent one in my opinion because it can delay enemies long enough for me to keep them from getting my command posts. Without them enemies usually take them before I can get there.
bacta tanks are my go-to's for space battles. it lets me do suicide missions into the enemy ship to destroy their systems so that i can heal any lost health from the hordes of enemies/autoturrets firing at me
Blaster bonus is my favorite. Once I started using it every match on hard difficulty I would beat the computer by over 50 units when before that I would barely win.
I’d rank em like this: S- Garrison, A- Enhanced Blasters/Bacta Tank, B- Leader/Sabotage, C- Supplies/Auto-Turrets/Combat Shielding, D- Energy Boost (EASILY). A niche little strategy for space combat that I employ is purchasing the supplies bonus, and going ham with a marine in their capital ship. You’ll have plenty of thermal detonators and rockets to destroy everything inside; you shouldn’t even need to go to a gonk droid for ammo. It’s not crazy or anything, and sabotage is better for space battles, but I like to do it just to spice them up since they can get repetitive Edit: Finished the vid, wow you said the same thing lol
On most maps, garrison won't make a big difference, if the enemy is using it. The large ones, like Geonosis, Hoth, or Endor, are affected a lot more, though.
Auto turrets are really good when the CPU uses it because the friendly CPU doesn't seem to do anything about them, however if YOU use them the enemy CPU is gonna lob 1 grenade and the auto turret is gone. This is extremely bad in these games because the CPU LOVES spamming those grenades.
auto-turrets only has one viable use-case imo it's if you're against droids and you have just started the galactic conquest, if they haven't unlocked a grenade-throwing class yet then auto turrets for your own team guarantee a win
Supplies should be moved up to map depend. While not as good as sabotage for space battles, it lets you take out all 4 inner ship (Sheilds, auto turret defense, engine, and life support) with only one ammo droid visit. You can usually take down all 4 systems (for roughly 60 points aka 1/3 of the points needed to win) before the enemy takes down your shield generator. It gives you such an advantage if you decide to land and sabotage, and only costs a 3rd of sabotage so as long as you bought the space marine it can be used as almost a discount auto victory for space battles

Unguarded command post with autoturret is better than one without
And supplies are good in space battles if you play as Republic/Rebels because it also increases the limited torpedoes in an LA-AT. With 70 torpedoes you can blow up the frigates, bridge and sensor array, then land in the enemy hangar and blow up everything else.
I appreciate the perspective my good sir! and yes, and unguarded command post is indeed better then one without
This video was awesome, please keep making cool content like this
appreciate it! more content on the way
Couldnt have said it better, garrison bonus is truly the best bonus.
My buddy and I were playing. It's been many years since last playing, and turrets were a big part of me turning the tide of the war
I will say, auti turrets are annoyjng in the old version due to the inconsistency of the grenades. Its also a lot better in split screen bc the ai is stupid and has no clue how to take a command post when an auto turret is there lmao.
a fair point!
I always felt like auto turrets were good vs. cpu
Proud to be one of the OG 1000 subs because this guy is going places
welcome to the OG group! may the force be with you @coltercort6467
Thanks for the vid. Feel like discussing tactics in elementary school again :P Cool thumbnail btw
TY!
So glad we're talking about important stuff here!
only the MOST important here
I remember how annoying the garrison bonus was as a kid when the enemy used it.
Nice Sharks hat. Congrats on the first overall pick. - A Flames fan.
And it's a good list too.
yessir! TY!
Galactic conquest is the best game mode of all time🗣🗣🗣
The supply bonus is only useful in space battles when playing as the Clones or the Rebels.
Awesome. Thanks, dude.
It's map specific though imo, I don't think anybody is burning 800 points to play as Chewie.
I’d love to see the Galactic Conquest bonuses from the first Battlefront game ranked, too.
Now this is the content youtube really needs.
Anyways, Garrison troops until i die.
Auto-turret against players: -F
Auto-torret against CPU: +S
I really enjoyed ur battlefront content u been making, definitely will sub 💖
appreciate the luv!
Not huge for winning the match, but a little extra help.
that garrison bonus comes in clutch!
Superb video. What's up with the vibrating troops at 1:27? Is it just the cursed collection?
Ok but can we talk about how cracked flechette shotgun is, makes engineer crazy with the damage/self healing
that mic quality is crazy good
why thank you good sir
Energy boost above combat shielding is wild.
im going by memory but i always felt that, the enhanced blaster bonus was better because it was a constant active difference for the whole team, like the only time the garrison bonus gets used for me was if i was losing hard (like on endor when you're playing as imperials) and by that point 20 soldiers didn't make up the difference most of the time anyway, also i'd put supplies bonus on map dependant for reasons you stated, it just speeds things up for me
In galactic conquest the only troops I buy are snipers, demolitions, and either the dark trooper, bothan spy, droideka (a must when you play the CIS) and the jet trooper depending how I feel and if I'm struggling in matches (which is not too often). I mostly use snipers cause they can one shot nearly all classes and the only two bonuses I use are sabotage for space battles and auto turrets for ground maps as a sort of insurance as they buy me 3-4 seconds as I snipe everything in sight and they are more focused on the turrets than me (I also drop the sniper auto turret near me when I snipe for the same reason).
the only tier list ive clicked on purposely
What about the activate Windows Bonus?
Just started playing
So good man
The algorithm has blessed me.
give me bacta and watch the fireworks also love the San Jose Sharks hat
12 year old me feels vindicated by your top tier choices - always had both of those in my inventory
Honestly using the sabotage bonus during space battles felt like a war crime
As a kid I was just runnig with supplies, having that much nades or rockets is pretty cool
I've always had a simply bonus setup for bf2, one garrison, one sabotage, one leader. If I can't afford a leader bonus, then I go with two garrison.
I often go with Supplies to speed up the destruction of the enemy inside ship
Auto turrets are great against the CPU, i always pick those
With all that, here's my tier list
Must: Supplies and Auto turrets
Map dependent: Garrison, Enhanced blasters, Leader and Sabotage
You want a challenge: Bacta tanks
Trash: Combat shielding and Energy boost
I try to keep 2 hero bonuses (one for offense and one for defense) as well as 1 sabotage for space battles.
Garrison for ground, bacta tanks and a boarding action for space, leader for close quarters maps where the hero has a lightsaber.
I was playing the AI in the OG BF 2.
On Dagobah, the AI chose SABATOGE
I always stand by GSL - Garrison, Sabotage, Leader. Keep one of each around in late-game.
I just beat the single player on elite on the OG version. What a grind. That was a hard ass game
the force is strong with you my guy
@@garrettjow I couldn't do the final part with the bomb because so many bots just bombard the screen lol
5:07 perminant unlocks is only on normal. Elite doesnt have that.
bacta tanks are my go-to's for space battles. it lets me do suicide missions into the enemy ship to destroy their systems so that i can heal any lost health from the hordes of enemies/autoturrets firing at me
Enhanced blasters is my go to if I really wana win. Definitely helps more than one might think I be blasting the enemy away from across the map
It’s not crazy or anything, and sabotage is better for space battles, but I like to do it just to spice them up since they can get repetitive
Edit: Finished the vid, wow you said the same thing lol
I love Galatic Conquest, both EaW and BFII.
