Got a red chrome, perfect bike,in my sixties so just right for me getting back into bikes after forty years, heavy though, done same mileage now, mods done, decat pipe, dna air filter, fuel x light which makes it run much better, cooler, slower steadier tickover,no backfires, cleaner pickup, also put the screen on,and a sixteen tooth gearbox sprocket, cruises better,no noticeable loss of go from standstill, build qaulity is superb, makes you wonder how they are so reasonably priced, tends to draw curious onlookers,so expect lots of chats! done 2k miles on mine, and ride it at every oppurtunity, weather permitting!
They really are excellent bikes. I only traded mine in because a really good deal came up on a as new classic 500 tribute black, very last of the production run, and I somehow prefer the more agricultural feel of the 500s.
@@Matt_Lethbridge . Except I'm in the U.S. Few and far between to see one or purchase one. But slowly breaking it in. Fine for me . Senior. Mild rides! Cheers!
Went from a 900 Kawasaki to my little 350 classic 2 years ago totally reliable. It's twice the bike the Kawasaki was. Yes, it's not very powerful, but it has magnificent character and soul, which is something after many test rides no modern tecno bikes I've tried come close to. Not a highway bike, but let's be fair. Are they fun to travel on a bike or in a car miles of nothing to do but sit there. B roads? Total zen and joy
I've read and heard from other reviewers similar but they say the clutch work you have to be very precise it's not a lot of room for error and perhaps not for beginners or those a bit lazier in shifts. The low end torque and is good for newbies for sure. Thoughts?
I've not heard any reviewer say that,it's one of the lightest clutches and sweetest gearboxes ive ever used,if you can't ride this, then get a twist and go!
@@batty109 I'm glad to hear you have a positive experience with it. Sounds favourable. I got this information directly from other reviews of this bike I have not ridden it myself yet so I cannot say. So it's interesting that the impressions are so different of it. I guess comes down to the user.
Hi. I watched this twice just in case i missed something the first time. However...... What the hell had this got to do with Mr S's cat? Or am i missing something here! 😂

Who wants to ride on a highway anyhow buddy, perfect for the roads around my place.
Good one - love mine too
Many thanks Tom.
Well done passing those horses, I like that bike but I’m in a quandary now they’ve bought out the 650.
Thanks Philip. The 650 looks like a great bike, but the singles are great for the lanes that I ride.
Great positive review! Reckon I need one! 👍👏😀🏍
many thanks indeed!

I've not noticed any issues whatsoever, the clutch is lovely and light.

Sometimes I feel alive, sometimes not. Just like Shroedinger's cat.
