- Sometimes.. you just have those days where everything goes wrong. This was one of them. Overall still had an awesome experience at PMP and I'm happy to get more seat time in this beast of a car!

You crushed it yesterday bro! It was great seeing my car being chased down by you haha. Awesome content, and the audio wasn't crazy bad. See ya at HPR!
Hell yeah!!!
Next time you go to that track on turn 7 you need to late apex that turn. Kinda just stay wide and turn the car into the Apex and you’ll have way better exit speed thus probably at least .5 off your best lap.
You got this! Keep going!
You’re doing great man!
I HIGHLY recommend you hit up some HPDE days before you go to any more track days. You’re putting a ton of unnecessary stress on the car (and yourself) but that’s just inexperience. A week of HPDE will make a night and day difference, and you’ll enjoy your future track days so much more once you have a better grasp on the fundamentals. Just keep trucking dude! You’ve got the car now. Driver mod is next!
I 100% agree with you, driver mod is really my focus right now. Only issue is that HPDE costs a lot more than open lapping or more structured events like SCCA. I'll definitely be looking into more educational events though!
Great work!
You need to keep your rpm within the turbos usable limit. On The FA platform the turbo isn’t great above 6500rpm, this shifting up will give you faster times. Work on ur late apexes. What tires are u using? When I race my cold pressure is in the 20psi range and I try to have my hot psi go no higher than 33psi. You will get better traction with lower psi.
Running RS4s! I had them lowered to 27psi warm. Can probably lower that psi a bit more.
@@WRXGarage check out the yoko A052 tires. They have a higher wear but can handle heat much better and their fast and sticky. No more greasy turns with these in my opinion
Yeah a lot of the faster guys are running AO52s. I chose RS4s for their longevity and my wallet is going to be a lot happier with them
Do you worry about oil temps? I see ~250-255F on the triple gauge, seems pretty high but maybe that's expected
Oil temp is still relatively "safe" in that range. Anything above 260 is where you need to start backing off. The issue with my car has been coolant temps. Because the WRX has a stock "oil cooler" where the coolant flows under the oil filter, at high temps the "cooler" will heat up the coolant rather than cool the oil. So the coolant temps were my main focus throughout the sessions. Keeping those under 230 is the goal.
Watching you prep and track your car is quite enjoyable. I think you are making too much of the sound issue. Narration was fine. Agreed, you didn't have enough tires for 2 days so one day was fine. It will be cool to see the difference in sound and feel on new tires. Michelin Pilot Sports next?
I heavily edited the audio, the raw version sounds like a bucket of rocks.. maybe that's why I was so annoyed with it.
The next tires will be dedicated track tires! RS-4s or RT615k+
Got to learn how to heel&tow bro!!!!!!
It's not really possible to heel-toe consistently in the WRX.
@@WRXGarage i ownone and i always managed
@@jorgelaboy5914 did you adjust your accelerator pedal? It's always been difficult in all wrxs I've owned.
