mike216ism what was wrong with your bike. I have the same exact bike and my FI light keeps coming on then the bike stalls. Just tryna figure out what the problem is
The o-ring on the tube sending fuel out when sliding that back into the housing you can slide it up without the o-ring until the gap in the housing by the pressure regulator. You can then put o-ring on inbetween that gap. As anyone who has done this forcing the tibe into the housing with the o-rjng requires some force. Broke my housing one day puting it back together.
This comment should be pinned. Just cleaned my fuel pump and threading the o-ring tube up through the housing is the hardest part of this entire fix. Almost broke my housing forcing it. Everyone attempting this repair should come back to read this comment when at this step. Take the o-ring off and put it on after the gap.
Did a big ride last weekend and I was overtaking road trains like they were family sedans. Prior to replacing the fuel pressure regulator I was getting a vacuum in the tank.
that is an amazingly clean fuel pump for a k7 1000, they are beyond bad for rusting fuel tanks and stuffing fuel pumps, mine went through 2 tank cleans, 2 fuel pumps and 2 injectors (i have no idea why its been all 2) and a fuel pressure regulator, i ended up sealing the tank and adding an external fuel filter and haven't had a problem since :D i love the video's you do and i love the fact they are also on a k7 1000 so i can follow them right to the T :) keep up the nice work

They get a little stuck sometimes, just twist and give it a little pressure, it should come through. Just don't pull hard enough to break anything unless you're replacing it.
I'm rebuilding my fuel pump. The kit I bought has a metal fuel pump regulator with no plastic housing. The manual say "Never remove FPR from plastic housing." What will happen if I do? It looks like the only thing in there is an o ring to. Does removal cause the part to break? Is it welded in with glue?

Hi, I have a Yamaha R6, 2004 & I have started to face an issue recently. I would need your help to diagnose the problem, the total kilometers I have run my bike are 12,000KM ONLY since I got it as I wasn’t riding regularly. For about a month now, I have been riding it regularly. I always do a normal maintenance like Oil change with filter /coolant & battery. yesterday when I left home I felt the bike is heavy and it’s not running smoothly. Once I stopped at the traffic light and released gas it turned off & when I tried to turn it back on it wasn’t really working without taking extra gas. All I could do is just give it extra gas and get back home. If anyone of you can help guide me and figure out the issue then please do let me know from where to start. Spark plugs ? Airfilter ?or Fuel pump/ filter ? Please help, Many thanks!

Does anyone know the name of little paper towel/mats that he always has one the work table (the black ones)?
Not sure what the item is called in the very beginning with the 5 bolts. Does anyone just sell the cap with harness? (2006 Hayabusa)
Thanks a lot ❤
Most Suzuki's have a HP filter in the pressure regulator too. Those can clog up. $$$$
Can you help me
I don't know the direction of the air hoses.
I replaced my sparks , but my problem stil there, iu cant go fulltrottle over 8000+rpm,, on my 1000 k7, i think i need to replace the fuelfilter too, or is it maybe something diffrent ?
Clean you injectors - its easier and if still bad … clean your fuel pump like this 👍
I pulled out my fuel pump assembly and its covered in gunk, just wondering what the best way is to clean it? I've already cleaned out the fuel tank and it was pretty bad
Fresh gas and a toothbrush.
My 750 has a very rusty and corroded regulator, could that cause bogging under load and backfiring on deceleration?
What ended up fixing it have the same problem
Hey there I have question. My bike was running fine. I wanted to try a power commander 3 an see how the bike performs with it. I rode the bike an it was running fine at first. But now it doesn't want to exceed more than 6 to 7000 rpm. So can a power commander ruin your fuel pump?
Not likely, but it can affect your tuning. Try disconnecting it and see if it runs better.
@@PartzillaParts I took off the power commander completely. An I think my pump is not good anymore.
Hey my 07 Suzuki GSXR600 makes that same gargling stutter start up sound just like yours. Is something wrong? Like not enough battery cranks or something
I'm not catching the sound. If you're comparing a similar noise to this one, then you should be ok.
Hi i have the same year an model bike. I bought a oem pump for it an My gas light continues to blink even when my gas tank is full. Can you please help me with tips to fix this? Wasn't doing this before.
The fuel level sensor is probably just stuck.
my 08 gsxr 1000 wont rev over 8000rpm. i just replace the whole fuel pump from partzilla and the problem still same. help me!
Fairly common issue with GSXRs. Could be fuel issue, but start by testing your coil packs. They are most likely going bad.
the tea bag lol
greetings after quantum hpf 384 install in primes but wont start (2017 gsrx r1000
Ok sir ? For you I have 2007 gsxr 600 sometimes it stalls when I roll on the throttle as if in a car that has a shut off switch a few revs then it's ok for a sec.. but doesn't fo this all the time and twice it has died any thaughts on this
Check to see if the throttle body is sticking.
My 2013 gsxr750 won't rev past 10k rpm I was told it's the pump I tried cleaning the filter but the problem still there I was told to try cleaning the resonator if that fails tomorrow how can I purchase a pump from u I'm in jamaica
Yes, we carry the full pump for the GSXR 750 and we ship to Jamaica.
What are the signs of damage to the fuel filter?
Not likely to see signs of a damaged fuel filter. Just check it at regular intervals.
Where do I find the fuel pump? I need to buy it
For the '07 GSX-R1000, it's #1 on this diagram: www.partzilla.com/catalog/suzuki/motorcycle/2007/gsx-r1000/fuel-pump
It is possible to having jerking engine condition at certain RPM because of clogged fuel pump strainer ?
Is it bogging or is it something in the gearing? It's possible, but not likely the strainer.
@@PartzillaParts the feeling just like when you open the throttle when it reach certain rpm (normally at 10k rpm gear 5/6) the engine lost the power, just like went to idle rpm..no power at all..
So it doesn't do it @10k in the other gears?
@@PartzillaParts as i remembered, it does happen at high rpm and low gear, but it just happen once since this problem appear. For the record, there is always happen at rpm 10k, gear 6, but, if im going fast, not hold too long at rpm 10k, it was notting jerking at all..it kinda weird..😅how about fuel pump internal damage or something..🤔😅 or wiring problem..😌
It could be a lot of things and then some. Fuel pressure, air flow, ECU, throttle body, fuel pump...Kind of hard to test at 10k rpm.
Mr Talley.
Please advise me, I have a 06 sv650 . No power to instruments cluster. I don't hear fuel pump "humming " . With jumpers I get bike to turn over (crank). Yes...35A fuse on starter solonoid has been changed. (Was blown)
Bike is new to me.
Can you offer any advice.
Thx in advance.
Have you load tested the battery. Just to eliminate the basics.
@@PartzillaParts Thanks for your time, attention and expertise MR TALLEY.
Yes , the battery has been tested and is expired. (New one ordered. Thx) I have the bike running , but only if powered by boost (or external source ) should it run without battery once started or is it stalling out after removing power a indication of "alternator " issue (or charging failure ) ??
Thank you again for taking the time to reply and help me with my problem. !! 👍👍
(Big fan btw , like how you are thorough and easy to follow /explain things in "layman's terms" where/when needed.)
@@ljtremblay4229 Yes, I would test the stator and rectifier.
My Gsxr 750 2005 doesnt pass 7rpm 110mph can someone tell me if this is the solution?
My k7 600 disagrees with your old statement and refuses to run now ......thanks 😑😁
Hi where is the H02 sensor (For E-02,19) for a 2008 gsxr1000 located
Should be right next to the muffler.

Why don't yall sell the individual pump for a k5 gsxr 600? That's all I want to buy
The manufacturer doesn't sell it individually
i dit exactly every step same but after my bike won't start :(( what did i wrong ://
I just got a 2002 suzuki gsxr 1000 for 2k that only has 10k miles...When i first seeing the bike, it turned on quick and ran good...6 months later, i finally pick up the bike..Now it doesnt want to turn over..the start button works and i have no codes showing up...It sounds like it does want to start but it doesnt...Any suggestions!!!!
Bad fuel? Frozen pump? Cool be a lot of things if it sat for that long. Make sure the fuel pump primes, then drain and add new gas, injector cleaner. Try again.
Partzilla i did all that except drain the gas..added i gallon of gas...I sprayed inside the air box and it runs but when turning the throttle, it shuts down...Like if gas is not flowing right...
Check fuel filter for debris, could also be a clogged injector.
Partzilla the bike wants to stay on but once i turn the throttle, it dies down...Also would low coolant level make the bike like that...??Thanks for advice tho
Willie Garcia did you fix the problem?
My GSXR 1000 K7's fuel light started flashing today, then stayed on. I filled up and now it wont turn off! Please help!!
Sending unit could be stuck
Where can i buy the strainer and pump?
www.partzilla.com/catalog/suzuki/motorcycle/2007/gsx-r1000/fuel-pump
06 1000, was hesitating under load 2nd and 3rd gear. Couldnt get pump out of tank. Took it to suzuki, they replaced filter inside fuel pump for me. I changed plugs and put in a K&N airfilter. Still having the hesitation problem. Any suggestions, anyone?
Sounds like a fuel issue still. Have you checked your lines and injectors?
You have a strainer (which John replaced in this video). There is a fuel filter encased in plastic that the pump connects to, I had to replace that $100 filter on my 2005 gsxr1000. It solved my problem.
Hi would ur gsxr1000 2008 stall on acceration if it has a bad o2 sensor or if the o2 sensor that connected at all?
Not connected at all?
You would definitely have a light on, it would run poorly. Might stall.
@@PartzillaParts I ordered the 02 sensor for it an ran the bike . The C44 code light came off so I have no codes now . No F1 light . But bike still not giving me all it's power
It's stalling on acceleration. Not sure if it's the fuel pump or the injectors or the coils
@@godfreylockwood11 same my gsxr1000 2008 cant exceed 9000rpm..
my fuel pump get 4bar it normal?
Hi,
I have a Yamaha R6, 2004 & I have started to face an issue recently.
Please help,
Many thanks!
Ventilation hoses I don't know how to hit them
Why do they skip the part how to remove the plastic pieces from the side of the tank.
