Welcome back mate! No pressure on the series, just wondering if you've commuted with the TaoTao this year, did it blow up, did you gift it?? Just want closure aha
Here on 8/3/24.. Still beneficial.. just did my first fuel pump change on my "new" k4 GSXR 1000.. THANK YOU FOR THIS THOROUGH VIDEO! Bike only has 14,000 miles and after opening it looked recently done, but wanted ease of mind. I got stranded last Sunday and hoping this (plus coolant flush, Regulator/Rectifier, turn/side stand relay, and side stand bypass) do the trick!
Sorry we're revamping the website. You can send us an email at info@scooter911.com and we can ship one to you. Or you can order one directly from quantum.
Hey great video. Very informative. I have a question for an issue I am having. I own a 2005 GSXR -1000 and bought a QFS fuel pump kit (382S) for it. once I go the original pump out it was clear it was in bad shape and there were some broken wires on the pump assembly. I've got the new pump together and cleaned the tank but don't know where the wires need to attach back to the pump assembly where they were broken. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
In regards to the fuel level thermistor thing, the wire came out of it. Is there a certain orientation it has to be when it’s seated inside? There’s a little connector on the inside but it doesn’t necessarily clip in but maybe it’s supposed to be at least touching?
i have a extremely rare yamaha jog 2 1994 improrted from japonesse and it drinks 5l of fuel for 2 hrs and it wont even make 50km please help specialist are telling me its my gas tank my gas tank its rusted it has all yamaha parts i have gotten special parts but its still not working please help
Sometimes the problem may be the high pressure fuel filter (the black housing where the pump was mounted) when the filter inside there gets clogged the fuel pressure drops and the you lose power at higher RPM 8-14k so make sure to test the fuel pump first. Flow test will yield 400ml per 10 seconds.
thank you so much for this vid. fixed my issue, bike wouldn’t rev past 10k rpms. filter was disgusting, had so much dirt and debris. explains my fuel pressure going from 40, to 20 psi at 10k rpms. this vid was very helpful
I have a 2020 Tao Tao Quantum Tour 150cc scooter. I've been having some starting/running issues after it sat inactive awhile. I've replaced a bunch of parts such as the fuel petcock, fuel filter, spark plug, CDI, performed a valve adjustment and finally replaced the carburetor. It does start but idles rough for a few minutes then dies. I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on with it, could you give me some advice?
I always watch and enjoy all your vids. I finally have to put a rear tire on the Buddy 125. I saw how u used a scooter to transport your bike. U said u we’re gonna give us a vid on that. Also a small trailer for the scooter would b most appreciated. I have to haul my waste oil to a shop about half a mile away. I also need to purchase two cases of chlorine and that’s about three miles each way. The little trailer would b perfect. My wife has an 07 GMC and I have a 14 Odyssey. But I love my scooter and I just don’t like using 5,000 pounds to move around a few hundred pounds. The scooter sips just a little fuel. If I sell my Suzuki Van Van, I am thinking o f upgrading to a Liberty 150. Then only one bike to insure. Robot loves them. What r your thoughts?
Quantum makes a ton of good fuel pump kits even for diesel trucks, I just put one in the sporty as well...great video. Why didn't you just remove the fuel tank completely for easy access?
Welcome back mate!

Very well done video 👍. Good to see you again, even if it's not "living with a Tao Tao ".😁
What ever happen to the taotao

Is this an oem pump or upgraded high flow or something?
The pump featured is an aftermarket high pressure performance pump!
@@Scooter_911 ok, thank you
hey these pumps in the gsxr 1000, 2003 are different from the 2006?

Sounds like you might have an issue with the carburetor!

Is there a filter in the black housing? You have a screen at the pick up.
@@300zxdriver there is
i did the modification on it,with external fuel filter...game changer 😊
Is Quantum any good?
We've really had good results using their pumps. They seem to be pretty high quality kits
It would have been just as easy to totally take off the tank

There is a link in the video description my friend!
Where do you get that plastic ring from that go on top of the fuel pump before put it into the assembly
Everything we used in the video was included in the kit or taken from the old pump assembly
Excellent as always...👍👍👍

Does your shop use a "ultrasonic cleaner tank" to clean rust, deposits, and crud? 3:48
