Man they never really blew up like they should have. I remember just got wicked was on MTV and they pretty much peaked. They had another video for stupid girl that was pretty highly rated. Don't get me wrong I love cold. Going to see them this Thursday actually. So underrated
@@randalledwards9793 I was referencing Johnathan Davis and fred durst. Not cold. Cold biggest hit was stupid girl. I know their success was somewhat limited. But still having 2 of the biggest rockstars of the late 90s and early 00s cameo in your video is indeed A BIG DEAL!!!!!!
In 1998 I was 15, I had this video on an enhanced CD I got free with a magazine and used to watch it every day, I grew my hair, got my eye brow pierced, convinced my mum to buy me a short sleeve black shirt and tied a shoe lace around my neck, this album is my all time favorite. I'm 37 now and still love this song/band/album
This is my first time watching this video and the moment Jon and Fred popped up the video got even better. I even got up from my couch and did a happy dance
Jordan Plumleigh You, and your comment, DEFINE the slang term "douche". By the way, what in the blue hell does "BWAHAHAHA" represent? Is that your way of conveying an excess of laughter?
After year of the spider...it just wasn't the same...his voice slowly changed from his signature sound to a more radio friendly sound...and sadly lost its character
I remember buying Cold's first album on a demo tape for £5 from my local record store, solely on the basis of a review I had read in a magasine. I was totally hooked, and bought the album on CD the day it was released. The imagery in the songs was (and still is) incredible, covering a whole range of cheery topics from schizophrenia to drug addiction. I've just dug out my old battered CD copy, and am going to reminisce on my teen years for a while :-)
I can not believe that after all these years and several plays ..I am just now realizing Durst and Davis in there. That's how it was at the shows for me as well never noticed anything around me or other bands that played ..because Scooter had me glued to his voice I saw and felt nothing but him and the music!🖤🤍🖤🤟
Woah...this song released when I was 6 years old, I'm now 26, listen to nu metal from the 90's everyday but discovered this song just now! Definitely going to be on replay at work all day, love discovering songs from the past which kick butt. So many bands and songs from back in the day 🤘🏾
Мне 18, наткнулась на эту группу не так давно. Среди всего этого огромного количества тяжелой музыки, которой я себя окружила, иногда приятно просто расслабиться и испытать меланхолию под группы вроде Cold :)
My God I remember getting an unmastered copy of their first album before it was released. Am I that freakin old?! By far one of my favorite albums though.
I met scooter some years ago at rock city Nottingham, England he was so friendly. He chatted to me in my body for about 20 minutes and my friend told him how much I loved the band and he went onto his tour bus and brought back a hat, and said I wore this on stage a couple of nights ago. I still have a heart in my top drawer in pristine condition. Dude was awesome and so humble love the music and the band great memories or is
Rine Berkhart Jonathan Davis didn't, but it's true that Fred Durst did. Cold is from Jacksonville, Florida which is where Fred Durst grew up. He was following them on the local scene, listened to them and liked what he heard so he ended up signing them to flip records. He also did the same for Staind, and also signed to Puddle of Mudd to his label. So he's helped all those bands get their big break.
Yep^ Also, maybe you can help me remember.. weren't they(cold) originally named Grundig? So glad I grew up in the 90's, a ton of great music was born then.
this is a decent tribute to Mr.Freeze. the girl in the video was his wife "Nora", this lady that was paralyzed and put in a chamber. and Scooter was basically Mr.Fries himself, with the band's name "Cold" so synonymous to the word "Freeze".
Love this song so much been listening to it since there debut . And still listen it and can't stop listening to it . There's something magical about it sad at the same time . I can't imagine a week not listening to it .
it literally took me 18 years to find this song. been searching for a long time. i first heard this back in 98 when i was 13 on M2(before there was mtv 2 there was M2) and every time they played this no band title or name of song would appear. even though i listened to cold later on i never thought it to ne them considering i only recognized scooter ward as bald.
+Tammy Harris Limp Bizkit is back since 2008, they released a high charting album in 2011 and are still kicking ass live, they'll release a new record soon.
Back in 98 having johnathan Davis and Fred Durst in your music video was a big deal. Those guys were on top of the world back then!
Yes sure..
It's a big deal now!

Bro has HAIR in this video!
Kerrang?
@@lukezagorski1 yeah it was on a Kerrang CD 👍
Mark Strettle kerrang also had goodbye cruel world on a free cd. That’s the first time I ever heard them.
my mom refused to buy me a short sleeved black shirt...but now im 30 and i have 2
Then he shaved his head and got tatted up...lol
Cold: My perfect mix between Pearl Jam and Deftones.
I love em.
Interesting thought
Kurt cobain nirvana
Yeah Kurt having a brain aneurysm is what it sounds like to me
Saw both Deftones & Pearl Jam live in 2022 🤘
more like pearl jam and seether
Such an underrated band.Especially this song is I think the most darkest. Dark guitar riffs.
Can imagine
It's in C tuning. I know that.
Listen to their song Goodbye Cruel World and look up the lyrics
Gotta love flanger effect
They're underrated because they didn't have any good riffs
The 1st album I bought was 13 ways to bleed on stage. Cold has been my favorite band ever since.
Fred Durst & Jonathan Davis x3
Best Cameo Ever!!
This is my first time watching this video and the moment Jon and Fred popped up the video got even better. I even got up from my couch and did a happy dance
Wow Fred and Jon Davies...didnt notice until going tru the comments
Same!!!!
Cold was one of those transitional bands that connected post grunge to nu metal. Seen them live once, love the first three albums. 🤘
this song is 21 years old, feel old yet?
THE FUCKING BEST
BRB, buying song a beer.
I felt old 21 years ago
Damn i just turned 22 this year lol
Yep.
Such an underated band!! When music WAS MUSIC! Miss the 90's
1998
The entire song has a guttural sound that I dig.
Same Here
Bahahhahhahahahahahaahahahaha. Guttural???? Bahahhahahhahaa. You don't know guttural, lil poser boy.

Yeah for some reason I like the fact that he pronounces some words in a not so usual way
As someone who listens to lots of metalcore and melodic death metal, i can thoroughly say i did not understand one word this man said lmao.
XD me either xD
One of the rare times you'll see Scooter with hair and a guitar :)
Jonathan fucking Davis...the man the myth the legend
"walla walla round you rain with dogs"
"i'll take the whippoorwill away..."
wished they did more songs this way i love the way his voice sounds geeezus

Big up for the man Freddy D!!
There's nothing like this old cold.
Holy nineties, Batman!
ONE OFF THE BEST Albums EVER
been a fan since 1998 the first time i ever saw them.
Back when Scooter still had hair! This and Go Away were my favorite songs off the album! 💯
The harmonic guitar in all their songs sets them apart 👌🏼👌🏼
Definitely one of the better post grunge bands
COLD🕷️Is A Post-grunge band
@@nolandavis2927 A mix of post grunge and nu metal, in the same way as Staind and Adema.
People say "under rated" this or that way too much, but with Cold it's true.
Yeah they have World wide support, but they should be a house hold name
I love Cold and especially their debut album. Its so dark, gloomy, raw, and emo sounding!!!
emo? 😢
Old school never die!
This songs goes hard
I completely forgot that Johnathan Davis and Fred Durst were on this video. Loved and miss those days.
