Mom divided some tubers and gave several to me 2 years ago. This is the first season they will bloom and I can't wait. I'm the 3rd generation (at least!) to have these lovely heirlooms. Thank you for your advice!

For sure a long lasting plant.I have my grandmother's peonies, that I recall from when I was a child and now they are in my garden, for more than twenty years.

Mine should open this week. Gorgeous flowers. I almost hate to leave them on the plant because they are glorious everywhere you put them!

I absolutely love peonies! There are so many beautiful colors. I just need to find space in my yard for a coral one! I have been drooling over the coral for the last 2-3 years, but not sure where I can put it. Good information on deadheading the spent blooms and fertilizing to promote bigger buds for next year.

I have three tubers that I planted last year and this year they all bloomed with foliage. How long does it take before the plant develops flowers?

Since reading the comments I wonder could you do a video on Problems with Peonies. I have several in the garden and all flower but I noticed this year a lot of buds did not mature and are very small and dark coloured and definitely won't bloom, what is wrong ? I know we would all like to know more about all the issues we face. I have seen all your Peony videos so far but not much in the way of solving problems. Thank you

Hello Sir, love your peonies' video. I bought the tubers and has grown into a plant 3 foot high but no flowers till now. I planted this tuber since 12 yrs....where have I gone wrong 🤔 All my other plants are baring flowers n fruits. I have a clay soil but We improved it when we started our garden from scratch. Please advice, thank you.

Took a whole year to bloom, then the bloom last for about two weeks! Then, lots of foliage to stay until fall turning brown and time to clean up.

    Dear Mr Allen-Smith
Thank you for your video. Paeony's are the best and my looooong time favourites.
If you cut them at the marshmallow stage, how long will the cut flowers last, in the summer in a warm room in the south of the UK?
Unfortunately I no longer live where I can have a garden, but have had some success with bought cut flowers. But my last bouquet that were in tight bud when I got them seemed to bloom and wither in a couple of days. Two might be a slight exaggeration, but I was seriously disappointed ☹🤔😭. I used tuber bouquet cut flower feed and changed the water daily... Did I do it wrong?
    Was the seller wrong?
Or was it just bad luck?
I would be very grateful for your response.
    Best regards and keep blooming!
    Mads-ness 15
I do hope you can advise me.

Mads-ness 15 they won’t last as long as some other cut flowers. But the tighter the marshmallow you can get them the better. I’ve had them go 2-3 weeks if not more. Cooler you can keep them the longer they will last.

Moved into a house where the previous owners had all kinds of flowers and I don't know how to care for any of them! I'd prefer if the peonies stayed shorter in height but we're wider/bushier. Is that possible? Can I deadhead the main flower so that the smaller side buds will grow?
