There is polyfill that comes in sheets. It's called Upholstery Batting. It can be cut into rectangles and is less messy that polyfill.

I’ve been on a keyboard mania for the past few months and your channel has really helped me figure some stuff out and make more informed decisions about my keyboarding interests. Just placed the order for the Logitech Pop mechanical keyboard in Heartbreaker Rose and I’m planning on getting some nk creams. So I use the keyboard from the Coolermaster Masterkeys lite L combo
And it says it has this “MEM-chanical” keyboard. It’s basically a membrane keyboard with mechanical switches so the rgb on it looks pretty good. I would love for you to do a review on it if it is available for you to buy. Also comes with a mouse!

I have an idea for a custom keyboard you could make. You can spray paint the outer layer black and yellow; it could be like caution tape that could wrap around the base of the keyboard. The switches could be yellow and the keycaps could be yellow and black. I think that could be a cool design.
I also want to let you know I think your custom designs are really cool and now Im finally getting my own keyboard and am going to try to customize it. Currently I don't have a keyboard and I just got into them so I figured you could turn my idea into reality.
These cheap gamery membrane keebs are actually really nostalgic for me since I have always used to use those, they will always be close to my heart

Pretty sure membrane keyboards are why I'm such a heavy typer. Years and years of having to slam the damn keys to make sure they registered has trained me to be this way. Only had my mechanical board for a few months, and even though it's a cheap one (Tezarre TK61) it's so much better than the cheap membrane it replaced.

Amazing video as always!! Next level would be adding the Kailh Box slider to the those membrane by open the switch housing and glue the top housing on to the plate.
You don’t need a stock membrane Keycap and bottom housing anymore. But you will need to find the MX Keycap though. I’m gonna experiment with this someday with Lenovo Preferred Pro keyboard and leftover Kailh Box Navy Switches from my previous build.

i used to have that headset its good for starters but now i have upgraded since 2020
I remember when I tried to lube my membrane keyboard. I’m just going to say I put a little to much lube (Vaseline) on the space bar, and it did not come back up.
Any idea why it didn't work?I decided to try to take apart one of my membrane keyboards and it also wouldn't work once back together...

Bro that was the keyboard I used for like 2 years. I never realized how bad it was until a couple months ago. I now have a so much better keyboard and it’s also much smaller. So this was definitely interesting to see you mod this thing

I also modded one membrane keyboard by putting tiny bits of foam into the keycaps. It made a very robust sound. But men the inconsistency... oh boy. Some keys felt like they had an actuation force of 200 grams.

So in all seriousness, I have like 6 mechs, but my wrists really bother me sometimes, so I picked up a giant Perrixx split, ergo Keybaod, and while it is comfortable to lay your hands on, the key action is frankly bad, not like bad in general but bad for a membrane. Is there any way to just make the keys a little better to press? I don't intend to use it a lot, but on the days I need it, I really need it.

when I unboxed it was not scuffed it felt spongey and smooth
This has to be the super low end of their line. I have had a
Redragon K582 Surara for a little over 2 years (After returning the low profile keyboard that I hated). Should test out one of their higher end keyboards as well. Never really bothered to get better switches or lube them though. Just dealt with what I got. :)
2:13 when i first typed on my mechanical keyboard I was surprised at how responsive it was (gateron reds) and I immediately got absolutely addicted to it lmao I can't type on membrane keyboard anymore

I customized my membrane keyboard and now it’s a bit quieter but since the day I got it the response time is soooooo slow but prob other people with the same keyboard as mine is prolly faster
