Jaby, it's pretty obvious "Rhodey's" guards are skrulls. C'mon now lol
well why not bring in the heros ?
he literally answered it logically in previous episodes, in this one he answered it emotionally.
He already mentioned bringing in Superheroes, and next thing you know Skrulls start immitating them and cause even more chaos.
Why not bring in the Avengers?
Because Harvest.
I think the reason you guys didn't understand the Fury/Rhodey scene is that it seems you didn't realize Rhodey's security team are also Skrulls. Fury literally called him a Skrull in front of them and they weren't fazed. When he was walking away, he told Rhodey to tell Gravik he was coming for him. Rhodey said tell him yourself, and again, no reaction from the team. Shooting Rhodey and showing those guards that he was a Skrull does nothing, because they are Skrulls themselves. So If Nick shot Rhodey, Nick died. Sorry, no one calls him Nick. I meant Fury.
True. But even if Rhodey's bodyguards weren't Skrulls, they probably had no reason to doubt the Iron Patriot/War Machine. Also, as I understand it, the Secret Service hears a lot of things but are trained to ignore them unless they threaten the life of the person they are protecting.
@@csgollum True, but it's hard to know what to accept and what to reject in terms of the reality portions of this "grounded" story. For instance, in real life there is no way that neither Gravik could get aircraft near the US President nor could Fury and Talos just drive up to the same presidential motorcade. Again, Olivia Colman's character would have been shot to death on sight in real life by the security team guarding the guy she shot in order to prove he's a skrull. Officers of government agencies in that kind of situation always shoot first and ask questions later. So who knows how Rhodey's bodyguards have been trained.
I doubt Rhodey's guards are Skrulls. Fury very easily overpowered one and broke his arm. The same guy still wearing his arm in a sling in this episode
i think you are underestimating the fact that fury WHISPERED that rhodey was a skrull AND his hired team would not belive fury neither because he is a suspect of murder, and if they saw rhodeys video, then he is for sure in their eyes a murderer
I assume that cloaking mask that Fury used to travel (which we first saw Natasha use in The Winter Soldier) was from Mason (the guy from Black Widow), which is why he hasn't used it throughout the show.
That would be a good explanation.. if they had shown us.. Or even hinted at it..
@@lordstark1626they showed you by him throwing it to him in the plane saying he could use this.
@@lordstark1626i think thats what he gave Fury before flying him to Finland, saying you will need it where you are headed…the passport and the cloaking mask
@@stacyp2186Ding! Ding! someone’s paying attention to details
@@stacyp2186 I just saw passport.. i guess they intended it to be some sort of goctcha moment.. but I wasn't really surprised he used it. I bet it won't be mentioned again
The scene at the gravestone after they mentioned not calling the Avengers, you missed the detail that Sonya didn't know Fury married a Skrull.
"[We] honeymooned here... Skrulls like the cold."
(surprised face)
"Now you understand."
Man, Sonya seems like a better Fury than Fury himself.
Probably a skrull

Yal just seen the guy from Black Widow give Fury something and questioned why Fury hasn’t used the cloak tech more lol he just got it guys 😂
Lmaooo
It was explained in an earlier episode, bringing in superheroes would be a terrible idea.
In fact, if they brought in ANY hero, it would have ended the world.
All it would have to take is one skrull impersonating a hero to get access to a lot of other heroes blood, BOOM, army of super skrulls with hulk powers or Captain Marvel powers, etc.
Next, if a skrull posing as a hero were killed or revealed, instantly the entire world could no longer trust ANY heroes, EVER
especially as they can now also have superpowers, so even showing powers wont be a way to clean out the skrulls, they'd be perfect spies. Impossible to detect or stop.
Makes sense!
newsflash! they already have access to a hero. rhodey. why can't they just use rhodey to lure in some other "super" hero and get their dna? the answer is pretty simple. its bad writing
@@nitinmathew5391 you mean a hero who they've been using their specific ties with the military to succeed? The one who had connections tony stark who is now dead?
The rhodey who is a normal guy who just happens to have a suit?
we've literally seen evil suit wearers before
If rhodey turned out to be a skrull to the public it wouldn't cause a quarter of the panic if fucking Carol was one
Rhodey doesn't have many connections to alive heroes
Natasha, dead
Steve, dead
Tony, dead
Guardians? Retired and off planet
Your ideas make no sense
Rhodey doesn't have that pull to even bring Shang Chi in
@@nitinmathew5391shut up
14:40 Not ego. Smarts and practicality. Fury already said why it would be a bad idea back in episode 2. You bring in Avengers, you run the high risk of them being captured and replaced by Skrulls..and that is a worst case scenario just below or even tied with global war.
Same reason why executing Raava (the Skrull pretending to be Rhodey) in front of her Skrull comrades in their security detail disguises would have been ill-advised. Practicality for surviving that encounter. Sonya was lucky that only her agency's director was a Skrull and none of the bodyguards...just saying, her and Fury didn't have the same circumstances at all and thus no contradiction in the writing for how they handled things.
Finally someone with common sense! 😂🎉
Make it make sense! That is absolutely is stupid! You have other heros on earth or from earth! If 4 Skrulls cannot stop their leader how is Nick Fury going to stop them!!
@@blacprophet1153He's not going to or rather not be able to
I don’t buy that for one second. The Avengers have the most advanced technology at their disposal, they could easily create a suit to completely cover themselves (like they did in Endgame) and if they really wanted to, they could body the hell out of the skrulls. This is just a cheap ass excuse.
@@alexi.674 You realize Tony and T'challa are dead, right.?
I think Fury didn't shoot Skroedy because all of his escorts are also Skulls. But I'm just speculating.
Gravik is a proper villain and I’m here for it
time for him to die then 😅
I’m sorry but I cannot be the only one who thinks that Jaby and Achara are not paying attention to what’s happening in these shows. The reason Nick didn’t shoot Rhodes is because of the environment he was in!! He had Rhodes guy right next to him ready to pull his gun on him at any moment AND then 10 guys right outside!! If Nick shot him he’s dead and he probably doesn’t get out of the hospital!!
Right?
And maybe they are also Skrulls , and it wouldn't matter to them , and just shoot Nick
@@subojithaldar7879 exactly that’s what I’m thinking they are clearly all in on it. Fury just casually drops Graviks name in front of them and Rhoades goes along with it probably because all his men are skrulls too!
@@bob-1980 It seems to me unless there's a manpower or logistical issue, it'd be stupid for Skrhodey NOT to have his detail filled with some Skrulls, if not all of them. Either way, Nick doesn't get out alive without some miracle/bad writing.
Or he could shoot his hand to show them
About the Avengers part I mean I guess you're overestimating how much connection Nick Fury has with the current Avengers like
Black widow is gone
Tony is gone
Steve is gone
Clint has retired
Thor is off world
Carol is off world
Spiderman has been forgotten by everyone
Hulk is off world
Rodhey's a skrull
Doc strange is in the dark dimension
Ant Man, Shang Chi and pretty much all the newer superheroes have had no interaction with fury.
And he has been pretty much gone for like 7-8 years, 5 years of being blipped and then being in space. Its probably easy to forget but he really doesn't have that many options to call upon if any.
All Fury has that he knows is Captain America (Sam), Bucky, Rhodes in a Skrull machine and agent Carter but she's turned bad (I think she's a skrull but her body is somewhere else), Fury knows Spider-Man he just doesn't know he is Peter Parker.
"why haven't you called down any of your Avenger friends?"
"we're already way over budget on this project"
The Widow's veil aka the cloaking mask was given to him in the private jet by Rick. He didn't have it before. Fury doesn't call any heroes because skrulls can shapeshift into them and cause more chaos. Besides, there are not many heroes who are experienced and trustworthy to fight beside Fury, especially after him finding out that Rhodes is a skrull. The heroes he knew are either dead or somewhere else dealing with their own shit. Fury doesn't know the young heroes like Kate Bishop or Ms Marvel. The only heroes whom Fury could call is the new Captain America or Danvers. And we'll know what they were doing only when we see their upcoming movies.
Also in this episode they reviled harvest , the one thing gravik failed to get, which means that if fury risked calling avengers like hawkeye , banner or even captain marvel , they all will be a alternative source of harvest that Gravik could exploit.
Honestly if he kept in touch with Strange, he could call him now and Strange could help out a lot. Use some magic spell that reveals Skrulls right away. Do other magic stuff to resolve the issues they have.
😂 If I learned anything from the MCU is you have to pay attention to everything
@@advait35last week saw Strange he was heading to a different dimension with Clea. He's not available
Exactly. I hate watching people criticism things without understanding even the bare details shown before them lol. I love watching this that I have to pay attention to. Some people just lack so much focus. It's annoying in film
I'm with Jaby on Gravik. Trying to say this the kindest way I can... but this actor has negative charisma. I'm not going to remember his face once this show ends. It's like if they plucked him out of a billboard on Melrose and told him to act as the antagonist.
The actor has played Obama, MLK Jr, and is Bob Marley in an upcoming project. Maybe it's less him than the script/directing of this show?
Hello, all the rides secret service agents are skrulls, mentioned in several previous episodes. Kill rodey the other agent skrulls kill fury and still blame him for attacking the president.
I guess the reason Nick didn't hurt rhodey is cause he suspect that his guard might be skrull too and the reason they let Nick go is because gravick needed him for harvest
I love how in the first episode Jaby said he was happy that the show wasn't "spoon-feeding information so that the dumbest person in the room could understand it"
And then he proceeds to never understand anything in the show. The poetry😂
Not many superheroes are stealthy or blend in that Fury knows of. A lot of them have powers that are hard to hide
Plus now he knows the heroes only need to drop some blood and the Skrulls will get stronger
Once the superheros pop up the skrulls won 💯
First Comment
But I love the violence in the show they pushing that PG-13 rating
Truth is PG got away with a face melting scene in Indiana Jones so it can be pushed more if they want. In Guardians 3 a F- bomb. But left it be natural. Sadly R rated series now fladh the f-bomb and stop and look at the viewer like look we are adults. Yet it seems like children swearing for the first time.😅
@@hamhockbeansthe rating system was a lot different back then. It has just been invented. Howard the Duck had nudity and was PG. While technically true PG movies have adult material it is no longer true that films with that rating still do.
@@hamhockbeansoh, and PG-13 allows for 1 fuck as long as it's not too early in the movie. You know, like how UA-cam does it now. No naughty words in the first few minutes and you're golden. Just don't go overboard with it
Also guy on plane gave fury that mask tech with passport, he didn't have it all along, i swear yall reactors dont pay attention and shit on these shows but claim to surport the actors in the strike, news flash, if these shows don't do good if affects the actors and second seasons wont happen.
No Fury had to use that cloaking mask since he’s currently wanted for a crime…..
There's a major difference between Fury and Sonya's scenes. If Fury shoots he's shooting an unarmed man no one is waiting for Rhodey's dead body to see what color he is, he's getting shot immediately cause they don't know if he's done shooting or if he might turn around and start shooting at them.
Sonya shot the guy while they were alone in the room. When the guards come in they can't just start shooting at her cause maybe he threatened her and she disarmed him, they didn't know and their best course of action was detaining and asking questions later hence why they wouldn't shoot
It's not that people hate what you are saying Jaby, it's that you misunderstand things, which happens to all of us, but you being this confident personality, you hone in on that misconception that you think is true, instead of taking a step back and think that this ep can't posible be this bad, like they couldn't posible have this many plot holes, and while you thinking more about it maybe you'll remember that "oh, Fury said in the 1st or 2nd ep that he can't involve the Avengers cause the Skrulls will use their likeness to incite more chaos", and maybe he answered Olivia this way because they didn't want to repeat the same line.
Jabby is not bright lol. All those guys with rodey are skulls, so if he killed rodey it wouldn't matter anyway, they would shoot him, plus the transition doesn't happen immediately
This show is such a watered down version of the comics event. The excuse of not being able to use superheroes "because blood amirite?" is incredibly weak.
Rhodes bodyguards are probably skrulls. They would have killed Fury.
Jaby please don't see always show using mind sometimes they telling stories accept you can enjoy more see through story prospective without it you can't understand why they doing in show so
See through story perspective without that you not reacting to it you going to don't understand anything and not enjoyable to you too
The whole security of Rhodey is a skrull btw so even if he reveals rhodey to be a skrull infront of them it wouldn't matter and most likely nick fury got the face changing "widow" mask from the pilot since he has connections with Black widow. Thanks for the amazing reaction as always!
Regarding the mask, I think that's something Fury recently acquired from the black widow dude. But I do agree with you that I would have liked to see more emotion from Gaia and Fury regarding the death of Talos. Hell even the Maria death was not felt as much as I wanted, feel like Fury just brushed over it when that's someone he's known for over a decade.
Fury has lost a lot of people he’s stoic ,doesn’t show his emotion too often !What did everyone expect him to do ?Cry his eyes out ?LOL
It's like he said, they don't have time to sit and grief. Secondly I don't think he's the kind of person to sit down and cry over her grave. He has a mission and he needs to get on with it. Fits his character
A person in his situation has buried a lot of bodies. You get desensitized
I understand some people might not like this show but for me personally I love this show it is in my top ten favorite Marvel projects and hope there are similar projects like this in the future
Yea it’s slow but some of the takes made by people are wild & stupid 😭 at this point they’re just hating on it for no reason
@@suhin74 Agreed some people are being to hard on it it deserves more appreciation then it has been getting
Bruh feels like they don't pay attention
1. Skrull Rhodey didn't kill Fury because Gravik still want "The Harvest" that's why Skrull let Fury alive
2. Fury didn't kill Skrull Rhodey because those agents with Rhodey are Skrulls then he will get kill. That's why Skrull Rhodey said Fury not ready to die and why they can openly talking about Skrull in front of everyone
How is that guy from Rhodey's security detail a skull? His hand is still in recovery after Fury broke it in episode 2? Shouldn't it have healed right then?
We didn't see any of those.. that's my problem.. instead of us making theories out here. They should show us.
@@vidit3118 good point
@@vidit3118that only happens with super skrulls.
It's called keeping the illusion, if he got shot in the hand and is walking around like nothing happened then the jig is up. Plus Fury and Rhodes are talking about Gravik out in the open which means his entire security detail is Skrulls.
they dont watch the show carefully and then complain about it. not a good reaction
If Nick had killed rhodey, others are also skrull because rhodey said the name of gravik in front of his securities even all of them around president ritson can be skrull and if Nick killed rhodey in news it can be opposite way
i am assuming Fury was talking to Agent Hill when he said it's time, let's finish this. i refuse to believe she died.
Dudes, Rhodey's security detail were also Skrulls, they would have shot Fury. That's why Rhodey tells Fury "you're not prepared to die"

Rhoades security probably Skrulls. They weren't concerned about Fury saying about Gravik and all. Also they can't show everything in 30 minutes.
Well if fury killed skrull rhody he would of been dead them agents with Rhody are clearly skrulls
well to be fair, Fury doesn't want any of the Avengers near Gravic because it would just make it easier to collect their DNA, just one drop of blood is all he needs
they close up on G'iah rings to establish the gun reload later, nice.
I hate how they wrote Nick Fury in this show. I tried to hold my tongue but I'm over it. Olivia Colman is being a better Nick Fury than Nick Fury!! I'm tired of the writers making him weak and incompetent. NOW they're pinning EVERYTHING on Nick Fury being incompetent. Why has the agenda every since Captain Marvel been to tear down this character?!? They're to the point where now they are saying everything we thought we knew about Nick Fury was a lie. Yeah I'm going to say it. They have been emasculating this character since Captain Marvel.
I'm done.
Love the show...but yea...something about this episode felt bland, simultaneously rushed and played out boring not exciting or captivating the previous episodes... fingers crossed for the finishing strong next week
Love seeing which reactors recognize the pilot from black widow, it's been about 50/50 from what I've seen
Even if Rhodey’s guards weren’t Skrulls, they would light up Fury a millisecond after he shot “Rhodey”
Decent episode, but with the finale next week it feels like the show's only just started. I feel like Secret Invasion would've been better as a movie.
Its not going to conclude in the series. All the Skrulls are not going to magically disappear the end. The story goes on. Be it movie or more series. Its left open.
@@hamhockbeans Exactly. There are about over 1 million Skrulls on Earth. There’s no way Fury will solve this entire mess/threat in only a 40-50 min finale lol. It wouldn’t work.

@@purno2239exactly !LOL
nah man youll not get that
I won’t reiterate what so many people in this comment section have already said so well. Instead, I’ll say this: Jaby, your always being too Jaby Koay! Trust me.
Jaby is so cringe. Some people have a huge ego and nick does. He doesn't want to involve the superheroes and thats his business
World War III.
Gravik got some traitors on his side. It is interesting that skrulls like the cold that way it also makes sense that they are in Russia. They also don’t mind radiation. Nick fury feels so guilty this is his fault. Just like when shield started making weapons because Thor arrived in earth. Maybe he had was harvesting because of thanos and black order appearing on earth.
I love Olivia Colman, who is by far the most brilliant across all the episodes. Fury's reasoning for not calling the Avengers to help makes no sense at all. Aren't we on the brink of World War III? Sonya is coldly calculating, strikes out icily and is funny, I like how she exposes Skrulls. Let someone explain to me why Fury didn't just as easily take out the Rhody copy in the hospital. In the past episodes, I've accumulated a few logic and plot errors that spoil the fun for me. Unfortunately, this has been the case in many past series of the MCU. Maybe the writers should start thinking through the plot logically and consistently before filming, within the possibilities that the MCU offers. I now fear a hasty and rushed finale.
One more point: At the end, the Skrulls are spreading worldwide in the news that Fury shot Hill, which is running through all channels. Don't any of the Avengers watch TV and wonder what's going on?
Didn't kill rodhey cause a gun was pointed on him the whole time
I'm glad to see a lot of the comments addressing Jaby's issues. I don't need to add anything. Hopefully he enjoys the series more thanks to these explanations.
Rhodes’ security detail are most definitely Skrulls.
when you're just mob characters and your best plan is plastic bag to the head.. I guess we die 🤷♀
No shade to the staff who worked on Secret Invasion, but it seems like ai wrote this. And not particularly advanced ones at that.
So every single reacting channel is choosing to ignore that Fury has explained before the reason why he's not calling the avengers?
I agree with Jaby on this one. This show's direction is poorly scripted and the writing is so questionable... So many plotholes and redundancy. MCU is on a sad decline.
No it’s not
@@fahimalfaisal7781 OK Marvel shill, Continue your denial sweetheart...
What was the entire purpose of Priscilla going to the safety deposit box in the bank to get the gun if she had weapons at the house?.?
Guys i haven't watched the first 3 episodes until watching your reactions. But as just a usual Marvel fan, i can understand the flow and plot points, but u guys are reacting like someone out of Marvel, watching it first time. I really liked this episode than 4 as this gives some key developments.
1. Gravik didnt kill Fury, because he need the harvest
2. Harvest is the key to bring in the exact comic plot (Skrulls can mimic the superheroes powers too)
3. Sonya will be the next Nick Fury
4. After skrul Rhodey dies, Real Rhodey plot leads to 'Armour Wars'
Exactly! Every true Marvel Fans, especially those that would be watching THIS show, should already be well aware of the Cloaking Device that the Widow has used. Why do people want them to spend time explaining all of this little stuff???? This dude be picking these shows apart. Aint time enough to go that deep bruh
28:55 he said in ep 2 if they were there the skrulls can mimic the heroes, why would Nick want that?
why are you guys blurring blood nowadays or is there a new youtube guideline i don't know about ?
"Why haven't you called any of your special friends". Fury's response shouldn't have been "this is personal".... it should've been, "If the skrulls are in possession of their blood, they would become unstoppable against the avengers & blah blah blah"-- & then tie it directly into an all-out skrulls vs avengers war movie (oh wait.... marvel won't do that because they love to keep people waiting for their big "pay-off" movie once every 5-10 years... so lame lmfao)
Like he said 3 episodes ago?
Fury didn’t have that mask until the guy on the plane gave to him.
Sonya is the only saving grace this series have. I am just watching for her. Whenever she on screens something is happening but everyone else is just froze
Not yall too, i dont understand what people have against marvel. I have a grudge and being a little petty, some people dont pay attention at all !!! I love y'all but come on, whether you like the excuse or not. It would be a mistake to involve the avengers because once they see them, its over 🤷🏽♂️💯 or if they get their DNA more powers for them !!
If Gravik gets a hold of the Harvest next episode, your point won't hold much weight since it contains all of the powers/DNA of those that fought against Thanos to save the earth.
i loved this episdoe 1st 2nd 3rd i didnt i loved 4th 5th
Fury looks more of a 'chutiya' in this show!
Remember at the end of the episode, Fury was on the phone with someone! He said, “It’s time, let’s end this”.
Not familiar with Olivia Coleman's work but I luv her in this show.
Jaby, I think it’s obvious why he’s not calling the avengers down (besides the real time budget issue) and that is because he can do magic tricks like Grace did in MI (with the crucifix keys )with limited vials to keep Gravik at bay . If the avengers are back , not only can Skrulls shapeshift to look like them to trick them into causing cataclysmic damage , skrull Iron Man in charge of his tech / Jarvis/Friday, skrull hulk whose a scientist , skrull dr strange who can bend time and skrull carol Denvers will make Thanos look like Paris Hilton’s lap dog. Skrulls will upend reality like the entity has already done in MI DR Part 1.
Thank you!! They literally addressed this in episode two already.
Plus the avengers are smart and powerful but they aren’t spies and could be tricked easily.
You seem way to hard to please, Jaby.
I really love your content and I really want to support you but until things are resolved with the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike I will not be involved with any content that deals with striked companies. This is an issue that affects people that I know personally, and I know that this is part of your job and I can't completely fault you trying to make a living. If you decide to do reactions for indie content and other companies that are not being predatory than I will happily watch those. So I'll have to wait to watch these reactions after everything is resolved.
We address this at the top of the video. Our videos do not violate the strike rules.
I feel like Fury said that because he lost faith in the hero’s once he bliped. He feels he needs to get the job done now because he can only trust himself
I wish they didn't release the Marvels trailer before this finished. We know he ends up back on SABER, in command, in full Nick Fury gear. Likely brings a few Skrulls with him.
Protect Sonya at all costs
No one in the show asked where is real Rhodey lol
Tons of other commenters here have pointed out why Fury didn't kill fake-Rhodey and why Fury didn't call the Avengers despite the answer he gave Sonya. In fact, if you recall from a previous episode, it was addressed why it was too risky to get any of them involved. I like you Jaby, but it's kind of annoying how when you're reviewing anything you overlook obvious details and then nitpick other things that aren't even important; things such as Priscilla not explaining why she loves the house she has with Fury. Why does she need to explain that? It's her home with the man she loves. What do you need to know? Are you obligated to explain why you like the place you have with Achara? Also, what was wrong with Priscilla and Gaia walking hand and hand? They were just bonding and having a conversation. Again, why is this an issue? The only thing that didn't make sense about it was why Priscilla got offended when Gaia asked her if Fury's seen her in her natural form. That was kind of weird, but I'm not gonna make a big deal about it either. You're grasping at straws here, man.
Priscilla got offended because G'iah was being an unkind brat, mostly on purpose - it was a dig, even if it was off-handed and basically unthinking, and Priscilla had every right to clap back on the rude child making assumptions about her life. G'iah might be grieving, but "Does your lover like your naked form?" is not a question for polite company - especially if you've only just met...
@@jollyrayda It didn't come off that way to me at all. I mean, Giah could've worded the question differently, but Priscilla didn't have to be a prude about it. Besides, considering she was previously helping Gravik, it's a little late for her to be climbing the moral high horse.
One of the best series
I think may be bringing in the Avengers will make it easy for gravik to get their DNA without needing the harvest. But Falcon could help though.
Rhodey probably has converted all of his security into Skrulls that's why he said that to Fury (you're not ready to die) and didn't care when Fury mentioned Gravik in front of his Security. They're all Skrulls imo
Sonya is best
MCU is making same mistakes over and over again lately, rushing moments, substituting action for rational behavior, etc.,
Man... Fury not shooting Rhodey was so stupid... Even more so when Sonya did shot her superior just a couple of minutes later... This type of "plot convenience" really, REALLY, pisses me off...
Nick fury and Talos have been together Longer than Fury and Maria Hill.. yet fury was there for her .. but not for Talos who has been such an important part of fury & SAVING THE EARTH which is not even his planet. and fury ( executive producer) cant have some scenes of mourning with Talos ??
Yes just like the skrulls they can go unnoticed using the ability to change shape with someone else. Fury can play that same game, using the prototype that I carry during the airport so as not to be recognized. And thus face Gravick. 👍
This was probably the weakest episode. Gravik was trending to be one of the best marvel villains we have ever had but now he just seems like your every day evil villain who is evil just to be evil. And I don’t understand how Fury and Rhodey were both at gun point and nothing happened. Sonya is outshining fury and making him look weak. But the icing on the cake is the absolutely terrible explanation Fury gives for not calling in any Avengers. Literally Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, The Asguardians, Captain America, Bucky, Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Hulk, She-Hulk, literally any one of those could help tremendously
The harvest contains the powers of all the superheros that fought in the battle against Thanos, if the Skrulls get a hold of that DNA it will be a big problem, that's why they were talking about it like it was a big thing.
It's great to see the skrulls are finally seeing that gravik is evil I think he is going to die in the next episode and talos daughter will be the one to kill him
The only thing good about this show is olivia colman's character. I'm sorry but nick fury sucks in this, so does rhodey. Gravik is bland af. The plot makes very little sense, the episodes feel empty and unimportant....
I think this is the worst MCU TV show to date, in my very humble and honest opinion.
For me, the bigger takeaway with G'iah and Talos' burial is that she's finally realizing that in her extreme radicalization by Gravik, he's made no attempt to preserve Skrull traditions. Sure, they grow produce and drink wine. But, what's the prayer for when you bury warriors and leaders? Gravik has been so focused on war that he's forgotten the cause. For a true leader like Talos, he would have made sure that his people (rather than followers) preserved the culture. But unfortunately, he was usurped. A really heavy time for G'iah to come to this realization, and Varra helped her through it.
I am enjoying this series for what it is , the performances are so great Sam and Ben make a great duo , Olivia is awesome and Emilia and Kingsley are great too . A lot of criticism of Secret Invasion is that the show feels too small and after the last few episodes I can the point . A lot of debate is on whether this should have been a movie or TV show , I honestly think it would have only worked as a movie if it was a 2 or 3 part film so a kind of mini arc in the next phase they would have had to have set it after Age of Ultron as the comic story features Iron Man , Cap etc who are no longer in the current MCU . The other problem I find in the MCU has when adapting fairly recent comic storylines is that they have not set up the groundwork and foundations of the story , the Skrulls are a good example of this as they first appeared in Fantastic Four issue 2 in 1962 and have been a recurring Alien race in the comics , since then we have found out a lot about the Skrulls culture , religion , way of life etc they have had a Kree , Skrull war which the Avengers played a major part in and their home world was destroyed by Galactus . In the MCU we have only just scratched the surface of the Skrulls and we have already jumped to Secret Invasion . Obviously Secret Invasion being a TV show they do not have the budget for the big name actors to appear from the movies plus the effects cost that would bring so I can see why it was made as a TV show but at times it does suffer for that I feel .
Also just as a point of interest Nick Fury was in the comics originally a old grizzled white guy not Sam Jackson and was played in a 1998 movie by none other than the Hoff , Fury was around in WW2 and through experimentation was given a serum to extend his life and went on the form SHIELD and was a recurring character for years even having his own title for a while , best story I think is the mini series Nick Fury vs SHIELD where he gets framed , goes on the run and is hunted down by his own Agents .
In early 200s Marvel decided to relaunch a lot of their flagship titles and modernize them by setting them in present day as they felt new potential readers may be put of by the fact a lot of Marvel characters have been around since the 60s and come with a hell of a lot of backstory and continuity so they launched the Ultimate line of titles staring with a new take on the Avengers called the Ultimates and featured Nick Fury who bore the likeness of Sam Jackson so that is how he got the gig , the Ultimates is a great tile written by Mark Millar and has amazing massive splash page widescreen style artwork by Bryan Hitch and is well worth checking out .
The reason for Avengers not being there wasn't Fury's ego. Even Sonya, being as smart as she is, got confused between who's skrull and who's not. Imagine if that confusion happens by an Avenger. Fury knows he's the only one who will not be easily fooled. The only other one smart enough for this threat was Tony Stark but he's not around anymore. He or maybe Cap would have been the only Avengers who Fury could've called.
As for the other case, Sonya shot the minister because there was no one present. Fury couldn't shoot Rhodey as there was a person right next to him who would've shot Fury in the head.......they could know that it was Skrull but by then Fury would've been dead.
Also Fury has been shown as weak and changed from the very first episode.
Nick Fury was the one who assembled the first Avengers to fight possible world ending threats.. Thry fought aliens twice, the Chitari in the first Avengers and Thanos in Infinity War and NOW is when Fury thinks it's personal and doesn't want to ring up an Avenger??? This show made a fool out of him
y'all complained so much and missed/overlooked so much. And Futy's wife didn't have to touch anything to make you grasp how much she loves her place, everything she described was enough
Nick Fury didn't shoot Rhody in the hospital because the whole security detail are Skrulls. That's why when they mentioned Kravic's name, no one was like who's that?
Sometimes i watch this jaby guy and his brother... and realize they are too smart for their own good... overthink everything... asking an unemotional character to be emotional.... why? Lol
As someone who admired this show I was not satisfied by this episode. And I want to ask you guys sth. Do you feel any threat or tension so far?! Because I really don't. And tbf I have no f clue what the plot point is. As much as I love the choices on this show (like acting styles and dialogs and etc.), I'm disappointed by the direction they went. And don't lemme start on that Not Bringing The Avengers bs. I don't think we get to any satisfactory conclusions in the Finale.
So because there is sooooo much Disney+ show hate my gut response is to defend the shows, but I will say this has been my least favorite episode of the season so far. I think it might be because I was waiting for the Agatha All Along moment that we seem to get in all the other shows (K.E.V.I.N, Djinn, He who remains ect...) and I do agree that we didn't need another why not call the Avengers moment.
What's the reason for having to tell us that you are not exchanging money from Disney? I feel like it's obvious reactors are simply just making reaction videos for the sake of content and not trying to please the company's shows.. is there legal reasons for saying this? I'm confused... 😕🤔
