That’s a stonkin’ ride mate! What a beautiful machine, and the design of the rear pegs are utterly brilliant. Triumph nailed it on this one. I’ve admired the Rocket since it’s initial launch, but your vid made me WANT ONE!
I have been on many different bikes. From Bmw S1000RR, GS1250, H2, various other amazing motorbikes but nothing comes close to this! The rocket really ripped my socks off. The stability, the looks, ride position, features, the brut brut power on that massive wide back tyre. My oh my!!! This is the king of kings!!! Yes some super bikes will be quicker but nothing, nothing comes close to this beast. This bike will cause families to split up. Go try it for yourself and prove me wrong. Laughed my arse off through this episode. Nice one. Knew you’d love the Rocket 3. I still giggle every time I crack the throttle open. Hope the weather gets better for you.
Now that is how you do a motorcycle review. I could feel the passion you have for the Rocket 3. It looks and sounds like a absolute beast. I really enjoyed the video thanks
the advanced indicator option means you can do a quick press of button and it only does 3 flashes . longer press of button for normal , both self cancel after set times
I've had a few Triumphs Richy,in fact I have a Scrambler 1200 garaged with my Ninja 1000 and the Scrambler is the same what I like is the fact that Triumph are making bikes people want to buy and have come on in leaps and bounds in my opinion
There I was trying to find an excuse to order one of these. Still not sure whether the R or the GT is the right one for me but, thank you, I now have to only choose between these two. Perfect review. Subscribed.
Hi Richy, great "First" review mate, but I totally agree with you. I saw the bike in the bike press pictures and thought it was beautiful. Went to the bike show to try one for size, and had to fight to get on it. I put my deposit down in January for the first of march, but I didn't actually get it till the 27th of May. I went for the silver grey GT, just coming up to 4000 miles and I still can't stop smiling, I don't think that torque will ever get old, and the burble on overrun is fantastic. Ride safe mate and I'm looking forward to more of the same.
Why would you buy that R18 thing over this? Much more power, better handling, brakes, comfort, presence, usability, tech, pillion provision. Nice review
I share your enthusiastic appreciation for this bike live in Texas, and I just bought a used 2021 GT with 2000 miles on it, in ice grey three tone. The original owner put a werx exhaust on it. I was going to test ride a Tiger 900 after test riding the Rocket. I fell in lust as soon as I cranked it up. After the test ride, I completely forgot about the Tiger. The torque on this bike is so brutal, it makes you behave…..for a little bit I absolutely LOVE this bike No buyers remorse, or wondering what another bike would be like Love your vids
Own one here in Canada. It is awesome. Mine is the R. I own 3 bikes. Harley ultra limited and a Yamaha xsr 900. Everyone looks and asks about it. Great review.
Great bike, I love mine. I did put the mid controls on, I think it's much more comfortable and handles better with the mid controls. It's pretty good in the corners too, I almost have worn down my lean angle indicators.
And he runs up and smashes the ball into the net. Whoops - it’s not a soccer channel, it’s a bike channel!! Richy you nailed it. This big and I mean BIG brother of the Speedmaster is some bike and you’re the only reviewer who’s expressed the absolute joy and thrill of it. It’s just a fab bike. I’ve got a whole “team” out doing paper rounds so I can buy one. Never mind whether the kids can eat - get them out to work too!! You’ll be needing a bigger garage and I’ve got planning permission underway for an indoor footy pitch just to house this beauty. It’s a toy but my god what a toy - thanks so much for the best ever review! Yours aye, Alan
I don't like cruisers as a rule, but the raised back seat, the over all look of this sheer beautiful machine has caught my eye, it is a fantastic all round machine. I want one.
@@rogercollins9298 Thanks for the advice, I will, I am use to sport tourers, so my only concern, will I be able to adapt on the test drive to a giant cruiser, let's see 👍😁
I have a 2005 Rocket III , added an after market exhaust and a power commander. Power commander set for fuel economy and getting 37 mpg on my rocket. Love the bike
I think the Advance indicator option allows you to use self cancelation after 2 or 3 blinks activated with a quick touch of the directional indicator or a manual cancelation holding the indicator for a longer duration.
I've found the fuel gauge ok on my Tiger Sport, had the same issue when I first had it. If you let the tank go down to almost empty then fill up after a couple of times it will behave as normal. In my experience anyway ... great video.
Auto advanced indicatord mean the flash for 3 flashes short press, long press they stay on for 65 meters/8 seconds before auto cancelling, auto just does it for 8/65 regardless
I testrode both the R and GT, the later hurt my lower back after about an hour, on the R however, I can ride forever. Ended up buying an R. Also sold my 2021 R1 for the room and funds, which I loved. But too close to go to prison each time I rode it. Also, your ass hurts after half an hour. Very happy with the swap!
I've loved these from launch. Sadly 20k+ is out of my league but a little wait and I wonder what a 3 year old on will be worth? Looking forward to this review series. Two up would be interesting. Stay safe mate. Oh my trophy feels heavier than that rocket and those rear pegs are a masterpiece. I bet ducati are thinking... why didn't we think of that
Keith, it’s a great bike. It will sell well. (Sometimes to the PCP crowd who can’t really afford them) You are in the right place, save up, because in a few years they will fall in price and you’ll be able to get a great value purchase. I’m sure it will give you years of fun.
As regards the 3rd turn signal function: I had an 08 Victory Vision Street, that when signaling a lane change one need only push and hold the lever for a minimum of 3 flashes and then would cancel automatically when you released the signal lever. If you mistakenly released the lever at anything less than three blinks you would have to take that extra step to cancel. Unless the lean angle was sufficient that the signals would self cancel. I really liked that feature as it was very handy on long Interstate (or motorways on your side of the pond) trips. Unfortunately have yet to find that feature on another motorcycle.
Went on factory tour in November, saw one in the cafe 😱 wow! Sat on it , and knew I had to have one. Road tested the R, absolutely awesome machine. Ordered the 221 GT. The riding position is more in keeping with what I'm used to, after 20yrs!! on a Road King

Had a rocket for 2 years, loved it but the weight ground me down eventually to the point where I had to get rid. 2020 Superduke R and loving biking again

I love my 21 GT, after a Boss Hoss 5.7L I thought I couldn't get the same acceleration - I was wrong! In Sport mode it hauls like a demon! And it goes round corners. I love everything about it and I'll never sell it - it goes in the will. The torque is a big number until you ride it. And it's not that big and heavy very low weight - easy to manoeuvre - check out the green lane footage. Rain mode meant a Welsh tour was no issue - never squirrelly. And doesn't it look good?
First, and maybe only thing I would want to change on it if I had one, is the exhaust. 2500cc should not sound like a sewing machine. Anyways, very beautiful wherever you are riding. The total opposite of where I ride in the California desert. It was 113 degrees today.
An update on my earlier comment. I now have almost 50,000 miles on my 2020 GT and still I love hopping on it every time. I bought a Harley CVO as a second bike and after a few months I sold it. @RichyVida Auto Basic - The self-cancelling function is on. The direction indicators will activate for eight seconds and an additional 65 metres. Auto Advanced - The self-cancelling function is on. A short press activates the direction indicators for three flashes. A longer press activates the direction indicators for eight seconds and an additional 65 metres. Another great review. I've been looking for a green lane bike.
Nice video sir. I'm really close to pull the trigger on one. It would be the r though. I like the red one better. 👍👍 mate
Lucky man!
What the bloody hell Mr V. It's the equivalent of the star trek enterprise. Remember your own words be bloody CAREFUL lol. Love that bike I would not be able to take it off the stand lol
Love to have a go on one, but not on some of the roads you were on 😂. Bet you had a grin from ear to ear
