VERY VERY Helpful ! I'm building my public channel too. I'm a youtube creator but I started out as a viewer, just like everyone else. I have so many playlists that are for my reference only and private. They are now getting in the way. I searched for how to move them - instead of torturing myself by moving 1 video at a time ! No way! Your video came up and I'm so glad I clicked it. Thanks so much!
You, Sir, are a genius! I have wanted to do this for so long. I could not for the life of me figure it out. Thank you so much for the video. And your teaching style is perfect. I wish everyone was as good at explaining things as you are. Thank you.
Thanks, it worked just fine! Note that the latest version of UA-cam channel menus requires you to go to "Content" to find your playlists. Another thing is that the original playlist text description (if you made one) does not copy across to the "Temporary" playlist in its new location, so I would advise copying that text somewhere safe, before you delete the original playlist. Then you can paste it into the playlist after editing the title.
Thank you very much. I had a business channel, but morphed into a ‘UA-camr’, and my personal videos were inappropriately clogging up what was supposed to be a news channel. Now I’m getting on top of the mess, thanks to your very-well explained, step-by-step how-to. I’ve watched this video over and over as I move loads of videos. By the way, your method works in my situation where I (accidentally 😊) have UA-cam channels under two different Google identities. I’ve added a tip I saw elsewhere, opening one identity in a ‘private’ browser window. Not sure this was strictly necessary, but it is working for me. Best wishes from a very hot a sultry Australia on Australia Day - our national holiday.

Thank you very much. I was about to spend too many hours re-uploading videos to the page I created for my shooting clubs videos. This IS A LIFESAVER. One question though. Can I delete the source videos on my personal page? Thanks in advance, Paul.
No Paul, you don't what to delete the source. The playlist is simply a link to viewing the source video wherever it resides on UA-cam. The only way to physically move a video is to either create a brand channel, in which case you are offered the choice to move your videos, or to re-upload them to a now channel.
Great video! Amazing that you figured that all out! I have a question: Will I lose all my view counts and comments once I transfer the playlist to my other channel and delete the original playlist?--all the uploads are not my own! I see that my view counts and comments on my videos in the playlist are different from that of the originator who uploaded them. I am hoping to keep those view counts and comments from my old channel under my new channel which is more applicable for the playlist in question. Thank you!
The short answer is NO, you don't keep them. The long answer from one of my previous posts below: So, what is actually happening is that you have created a new copy of the original playlist on a different channel than that where it originated. The new playlist has no views, likes or comments. Views and Likes of the original playlist remain with it and the channel to which the playlist belongs, and are deleted if you delete the original list. I do not know if/how UA-cam keeps a historical performance count for channel's playlists or videos which have been deleted. The views, likes, and comments which each individual video in the original playlist received remain with each individual video and are not affected by playlists created or deleted, but I believe will be deleted from the platform only if the individual video is deleted from UA-cam. These numbers show up for that video no matter what playlist it is added to or removed from, or for that matter anywhere on UA-cam where the video performance data is offered. Realize that if you add a video with 50K views to one of your playlist, neither that playlist nor your channel has just gained 50K views. So this does not influence YPP qualification in the least. How a platform user interprets these numbers is obviously subjective for each user. A channel's subscriptions have nothing to do with any of these numbers.

well it kind of worked. apart from they have moved things around a bit now (April 2024) about half way though my playlists I get told I can't make new playlists but not why I can't. I presume this is just a 'wait for 24 hours and it will be OK' thing but bloody annoying when you can't do all your playlists.
seems my reply did not post. they do the same with changing playlists to from private etc. - you can only do so many then they stop you for a while. I had 180 playlists but some are 'owned' by other so I can't do anything with them. if only yt let us just convert the whole account to/from personal/brand it would be 100% easier but I guess YT likes to make life harder.
That happened to me too but i'm free again because i accidently just deleted my new channel along with an old channel i deleted because i still had my new channel open in another tab, after transfering 14 playlists and my subscriptions over🤦♀It will take a bit to get used to this lol. You have to make sure you've switched to the channel you want to delete only in the one tab don't have any others open because it sort of creates a bridge between your channels obviously so you can transfer playlists over. I think i should clear my browser data too before attempting to delete a channel so i think i'm going to do that just incase. At least now i can transfer my playlists over a bit more slowly without being stopped and having to wait, i'm doing about 6 or 7 per day and it doesn't seem to count when you delete playlists, before when i did 14 playlists i hit a wall so that seems to be the limit but i'm not testing it. Fyi you can have two or more channels open in their own tabs in case you didn't know that, just open it up on the playlists page on one channel, open it open again in a new tab, then switch to another channel and again go to the playlist page. I also used this to more quickly transfer over my subscriptions too i went to manage subscriptions, copied the link, then pasted it in the window opened up on my new channel it may still switch to my old channel though but mostly it stays on the new one. To create a new playlist from youtube studios you can click the create button at the top/right of the page. You can also go to a video or playlist, click the + save button on a video, and click create playlist so it'll both create the playlist and add the video to it at the same time but you'll have to remove it afterwards. If you use the second method you'll have to keep switching visibility though which takes a bit longer but on the studio it's already set to public, although in the studio you'll have to set how you want a playlist sorted. Click on the 3 dot icon next to a playlist to edit it in youtube. There is one last kicker though if you want to transfer to another channel then delete the old one. Doing all of this just helps you transfer a playlist to another channel as if you were sharing it with someone else. So you will have to go with creating another new playlist on your new account, turn off collaboration, refresh, then add all the videos to the new playlist from the playlist you just collaborated on then delete the playlist you collaborated on. Then delete all the playlists on your old channel before deleting it because youtube detects duplicates on all your channels. This is such a pain it really is they've made it so difficult.
Hey i have a question please. I did everything as you said and it works as intended. I moved all my playlists from channel 1 to channel 2. However, if i remove a video from a playlist from the 1st channel, it also removes the video from the playlist in the 2nd channel. Does that mean if i delete the 1st channel completely, all the playlist on the 2nd channel will be lost? I even removed the collaboration setting, but it still does the same. Basically the 1st channel still has control over the playlists in the 2nd channel. EDIT: I found the solution. On my 2nd channel, i have to make another playlist and add the collaborated playlist to there again. This latest playlist has no collaborators and it's completely mine. So now after i do that, i can safely delete my 1st channel.
Thanks a lot. I started to transfer some videos to another channel.. but I set them on schedule so the videos will auto publish everyday even without me haha..
I’m going to give it a try. Any reason you called the playlist “temporary” did the copy, deleted it from your another account, and then renamed temporary once deleted elsewhere vs just naming it the same the whole time? I have like 15+ playlists i need to do this for and I’m not looking forward to doing this process that many times. If there is any “play to use” solutions out there that automate all this I’d like a reference. Thanks for taking the time to make this to each the world.
You can name it whatever you want, you just need to be able to easily identify it when switching between accounts. I don't know of an automated process to achieve this.
Thank you for the help, but I wanted to know if it is possible to move the playlist and delete the original one, will the copy of it be deleted? If yes, is there any way to actually move the playlists, so that it is possible to delete the first one?

Brilliant thanks- great help
Very welcome!
Thanks, help a lot
Thank you so much. Was really helpful.
Glad it helped!
Sorry, its been a while since I've gone through this. Sounds like you got it right now.
Thank youuuuuu🤩😇👏👏
thank you sir, I thought it would be more difficult if you use a cellphone, it's actually easier
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
This worked, thank you
Glad it helped
THANKYOU SO MUCH
worked for me, thanks.
Nice!
It worked perfectly, thank you so much.
Great to hear!
Thanks a lot. I started to transfer some videos to another channel.. but I set them on schedule so the videos will auto publish everyday even without me haha..
That's cool!
Thank you very very much!!!
You're welcome!
Thank you so much for this info!
I'm glad it was of value to you.
@@ItsFixable It helped so much! You have a fan and a subscriber!
Nice! Now, is there a way to copy subscriptions over? :)
Ha! Not that I know of.
Thank you for the help, but I wanted to know if it is possible to move the playlist and delete the original one, will the copy of it be deleted? If yes, is there any way to actually move the playlists, so that it is possible to delete the first one?
If you follow my method, you are creating a copy of the original. So yes, you can then delete the original and the copy remains completely intact.
Thank you so much! About to try it now...
I'm sure you'll be successful!
@@ItsFixable Absolutely! I worked like a champ! Thank you so much!
Now, I am looking for a way to be able to get both my UA-cam channels to play on my Amazon Firestick. What I found to do did not work. Can you help me there? I'll be searching through your videos. Thanks so much!
I'm sorry but I dont have experience with Firestick, Chrome cast, or any of those pluggin devices.
@@ItsFixable Oh, that's OK. I will keep looking out there. Thanks!
