This made me open up my Canva account which I never use for a recent video I posted, and I must say, it was fun to create a thumbnail in literally minutes. The two major tips I learned here was the posing in the video for the thumbnail, and the VLC snapshot which I had never used. That will make life grand. 😊

Hey Justin thanks for being the one to teach me how to make thumbnails, I have seen other videos but I make my thumbnails with Canva the way you teach us to do it in this video. This is so so helpful. I'm in the very early stages of my UA-cam channel and only have a tiny 15 subscribers! But I'm still trying to improve and learn on ways to improve my videos and this was incredibly helpful. My husband has agreed to get me a decent camera for mothers day so I can improve on quality and then I just need to work on the little things like thumbnails intros and all those little things that make a big difference! I dont expect to be some big youtuber but I just really really enjoy making and editing videos. Its almost a hobby! So thanks for this helpful video 😊

Really appreciate this as a software tutorial, but honestly I'm questioning a little whether it's a good idea to:
A) Repeat your title in the Thumbnail and...
B) make a Thumbnail that is cluttered, considering they get shrunk down so significantly in the Recommended feed.

However, if I click a preset such as "Edge", then a slider appears for that particular preset. Am I missing something?

Hi Justin great videos they've been invaluable, i did have one question regarding the pixel resolution of the thumbnail for youtube, you reccomend 1920x 1080p but i saw that on youtube they reccomend 1280x 720, could you clarify this for me please.
