Well when you do you will learn that if your in a car, bike scooter or skateboard etc, and youre in line while someone is backing up, you wait, other wise you become a distraction to all drivers, also its a quick way to getting yourself run over. People hate when motorbikes cut thru lanes, we expect you to drive like a car, wait in line, no rush. I've actually been backing up once in a van when kids decided to run thru the back, missed the kids but then proceeded to back straight into a car, not because i was a bad driver but because i was still focusing on where the kids were and that distracted me from how far i was from another car. Driving can be stressful at times we dont need to make it harder. Agreed?

I don’t see how you stay on when you slam on the brakes at even thirty. I would love to ride one , just not in traffic or on bumpy roads
@ Straight Whitemale .... I'm a motorcyclist who was involved in an accident (Didn't have time to bail) and although this looks very exciting but my trust in the car and SUV community just will not allow me to ride an electric scooter (a 40 MPH monster) and still keep clean shorts.
Straight Whitemale; I've been riding bikes for 40 years now, if you have had to dump the bike 4 times perhaps it's not the cars??? Riders should *know* that no drivers will ever see them.
build Motosykletist exactly.. I've been riding small bikes for 15 years, usually have one as a backup/local fuel saver. And I've yet to have an on road accident, my one good fall happened on gravel, in the dark going 5mph.. ripped my knee open down to the Bone. Anyway, when on roads I never assume I'll be seen and treat every intersection like a car is about to blow through it.. also give plenty of room for unexpected lane changes on multi lane roads, stay out of lanes with merging traffic, never sit in blind spots, never count on someone else's reaction time and generally just try to be defensive as all hell. Ride safe!

Have you given one of the Bird or Lime scooters a-go in Brookline? I felt like I was COOKING and it was 16MPH, bumps are SEVERE at this speed and those don't have shocks but it is awesome none the less
Yeah for only $100USD more than the Boosted Rev, this is a way more fleshed out product with much better specs as well. The full suspension system is probs on e of the biggest things going for it over the Rev.
Ecoreco is complete and utter trash. I ordered a “good” condition, “under 200 miles” scooter from their reverse auction deal. It came in and looked like it was a lime or bud scooter. Completely trashed. Rubber was literally peeling off of the tires. Charging port not attached properly. Entire screw heads just ground down completely. Absolutely unacceptable and the handlebars weren’t straight either! Sent it back, got a refund, and spent double ($1000) on the Turbowheel Dart. Brand new, goes 26mph, 28 downhill, full suspension, LEDs all around, etc. way better construction, awesome dash, etc. I’d recommend eWheels and the Turbowheel line of scooters long before the EcoReco scooters.
Oh awesome! I miss my modded Razor scooter. Had an older e300 that I had converted so that it topped out at ~42mph depending on the terrain/incline. It was fun to watch people point and laugh as I, an adult, would hop on a little electric scooter, then watch their jaws drop as I'd take off and go from zero up to at least 35mph within the first
Even the legal 12mph (20kmh) Limit in Germany is pretty scary in the first few minutes on a scooter, or in tight street situations. Now trying to imagine 40 mph. Imagine the situation riding this beast on public street. Even to just look at something which states the words "drivers licence" would probably be forbidden to you for the rest of your life :D
@dandanthetaximan There's a huge difference between 16mph and 30mph and 30 mph plus in terms of human damage and survivability. I've hit a car on a bicycle that pulled out in front of me as I was going top speed downhill maybe 20 - 30 mph. The car had a massive dent in the wing and my knee clobbered it with no ill effect., but my bones do seem to be tough.
It take me a total of 6mile to get to work. Which is about 15-20min at 30-40mph. I am tired of pumping expensive gas and doing oil changes every 6 month. My car is old 2001. At the same time I want to go all ev after buying a set of battery power lawn gear a mower, blower, and line trimmer. It was night and day. It just make everything so easy. Long story short I got denied a credit loan even if I can afford the monthly payments with 750 credit score. So since I can't buy an ev car. I'm looking for alternative. This caught my eyes and I can buy it with cash no problem. I'm thinking about it big time.
Great alternate, but don't/ can't ride in rain or snow. Slippery/ dangerous on wet pavement and machine somewhat water resistant but NOT waterproof... (you'll make it home if it starts raining lightly while you are on you way) In bad weather, you need alternate transport. Also, they don't like super cold temps. But yes, super for 3 season, fair weather, and I use daily. E-bike for the rainy days.
@@bkanegson oh yeah for sure, i only meant using it on good days. Than again I'm from Washington so rain is pretty much like our thing around here. I'm now thinking about getting an e bike.

70 lbs, 40MPH and mechanical disk brakes? No thanks. I built a Bafang 1K watt, 52 Volt e-bike that could do 35 on a good day and speeds like that didn't feel safe - especially on a bike not designed from the ground up to be an e-bike. Yes, quick acceleration is handy in traffic, but I'll take finesse over speed.
I'm rolling on a 2kw hub rear wheel. I'm doing like 35 uphill and 55 downhill on a 26". Feels pretty awesome but its dangerous. If I'm riding on road and some times its not that easy to stop even with disc brakes... 203mm and 160mm. I'm on a big battery 20ah so I can go like over 35 miles per charge without assisting. :) Ohh and the bike is the same kg. :D
Have one and brakes feel fine to me. Stops on a dime, wheels will skid if brakes over applied since no anti-lock function. Just require a bit more grip strength than hydraulic, but only 10" wheels. Leverage is immense. Stock brakes work great. Also have a 52v Bafang conversion bike, and make sure to wear proper protective gear at 35+. The Lighting feels safer than the e-bike at that speed, though any accident on either would be bad. Drive defensively and wear proper gear. The Lighting is more fun, the bike better in the rain.
Forty mile range isn’t so great, but not bad either. If they added folding back wheels too, so that after folding it could be pulled along like a luggage case is, perhaps this would minimise the cumbersome weight issue. kind regards LM
iTKBoxing most electric bikes are electric assisted so if you want to go faster pedal fast just like a normal bike on flat ground I could do about 37 mph at steady not exhausting pace on the pedals and my buddy says you could do about 40 miles.

Jay I don't drive. I don't have a road mentality. I was asking a question. But instead got a mental care jumping on me
@@andreymor5201 Ah ok, fair enough, makes sense. Agreed?
This comment section is pure gold lmao- the scooter is actually amazing though
2022 everybody gonna have it
1600 dollars for this? At
WHAT ANOTHER SCOOTER?
He means moped.
It's not as fun though :(
I would just get it for the range and the smooth suspension to have that kind of speed is nice but I wouldn't use it I would get it for the range alone
Our great grandparents would be blown away with wonder and amusement if we could bring them back and show them this video of course at the end they would have also been amused by the lack of strength a grown man now has trying to lift 70lbs lol
Full helmet, gloves, knee pads and a chute not included.
Not even on a motorcycle so..
@PRO MTB ikr 22 is fun, but when i get to 25 the real shit begins
Oh I get it. As a motorcycle rider I have had four cars fail to see me. I was able to dump the bike and get out undamaged.
It’s dangerous driving around cars. Sometime you need to stop right now.
Ride safe!
Wow this scooter era is getting to an Apex level! Good to see this!❤️
"Carving up a hillside" goes down 1 foot bump....

I barley feel safe riding my xr100 at 50mph down a slope
Im soooo jelly! I wish my one legged ass could just have or get one fun toy in my life. I can't ride bmx anymore. Something like this could totally make life enjoyable again for me. I gotta get this thing one way or another!!!! Awesome vid man. Thanks!!!!!
save ur money n buy a leg first
u can buy with optional seat with this scooter. so you can sit, but the fun its not the same
I'm just broke, lmao ..I'm an adrenaline junkie by heart. Lost my leg in a car accident when I was 18. Shit has just been tough ever since. But things are getting better and I plan on saving up until I can get one 😉👍 this actually truly seems like something worth saving up for. Holds my weight of 250 and goes over 20+ yea I'm way sold lol! So stoked. I just hope I get the opportunity!
CHOzen _1 dude just buy a dirtbike/moped, this scooter is dangerous as it could easily knock you of off balance while having only 1 leg, dirt bikes or mopeds go for 700 new and go way faster than this scooter
@@basicpawsstv128 where in the world are you going to get a moped for 700? Also you have to register and insure it.
Have you ever been pulled over on this thing? I'm curious about the MA laws on these. I'm thinking about getting one for my commute to work
Have you given one of the Bird or Lime scooters a-go in Brookline? I felt like I was COOKING and it was 16MPH, bumps are SEVERE at this speed and those don't have shocks but it is awesome none the less
Yeah for only $100USD more than the Boosted Rev, this is a way more fleshed out product with much better specs as well. The full suspension system is probs on e of the biggest things going for it over the Rev.
@Tiny Rick Im sorry but Eco Reco is trash compared to this.
The death scooter coming to a store near you
40 mph is just an option.
It's not neccessary.
thanks for that information
THE TURBOWHEEL LIGHTNING.....AKA THE ZERO 10X......AKA THE APOLLO PRO.......AKA THE TECHLIFE X7.......AKA PROBABLY ANOTHER 7 SCOOTERS LOLOLOLOL
40mph then sudden pop at the side of alley, full brake then fly like superman.. thats gonna be awesome
The widow maker. I want one.
35kg :( no thanks
Price is $1695 if anybody is interested. 40 mph is getting into lethal if crashed with no protective clothing territory.
definitely not cheap
What? You can die at 5mph bro.
@dandanthetaximan lol lime scooters.
@dandanthetaximan Thx for that
try that thing in scotland, the battery will be dead after the first hill.
So he was too scared to go 40mph but 37mph wasn't a problem?
He obviously had problems with 37mph as well and didn't dare to push it further as it was already sketchy.
Wheels look too small for this much power.
My 4 ton floor jack weighs less at 70 LBS. It's plenty heavy to pick up.
good story
Holes and cracks on the road ... At 50 mph , with small wheels.... Bye-bye my friend
Booooo
Maybe the government should fix the holes in the road...
I recently purchased the NanRobot D5+ with similar specs, but after watching the review; this may be a better option for the same money.
77 pounds. "You basically have to deadlift this scooter" LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trust me it’s the best thing you’ll ever buy. I just bought a xiaomi M365 and it’s amazing. Be careful though they can be dangerous.
Yes, an ebike is a significantly better option. Much safer, at high speeds.
Your math is a little off to go 6 miles at 30 mph takes 12 minutes at 40 mph it should be about 9 minutes.
Mode 1 is nicknamed "Really, 22MPH is Too Fast for a Mode 1"
Mode 2 is nicknamed "Paraplegic Mode"
and Mode 3 is nicknamed "Quadraplegic Mode"
god this scooter is going to kill a lot of people....
Great way to die tho
Mode 3. Please recycle and sign up as an organ donor.
22 mph is pretty safe actually,, this scooter is amazingly comfortable
As some of others have mentioned, I’d love to hear your comparison thoughts between this beast and the Boosted Rev. Thanks in advance.
Forty mile range isn’t so great, but not bad either.
If they added folding back wheels too, so that after folding it could be pulled along like a luggage case is, perhaps this would minimise the cumbersome weight issue.
kind regards
LM
Everyone freaking out about safety. How is this different from being vulnerable on a motorcycle
it's smaller thus harder for other drivers to see...
I see you never had the pleasure of hitting a patch of sand on a scooter and having the small tires slide out from under you.
Different center of gravity
Every time I’ve stepped onto a normal micro-scooter I’ve ended up damaging my body so I think I’ll give this one a miss.
I think I'd feel more comfortable at high speed on an electric bike.
Only electric bike I've found in this price range is the Lectric at $900, but it only does 28 MPH.
iTKBoxing most electric bikes are electric assisted so if you want to go faster pedal fast just like a normal bike on flat ground I could do about 37 mph at steady not exhausting pace on the pedals and my buddy says you could do about 40 miles.
40 MPH standing upright hmmmm.............hit a speed bump and you can achieve low earth orbit
I have a 35mph scooter, and I hit a speed bump, weel I didn't fell
People. Will. Die.

good, that's how evolution works
You mean the large amounts of people who get killed every day by cars .
S K no the people killed by cars are in cars not scooters. Don’t straw man argument me 😘
@@PumpUptheJam81 Pedestrians are killed every day by drivers . Understand that
S K so it’s evident you’re sort of a little hostile fella, so let me break down the definition of sarcasm so you don’t wander around the internet tripping on it again. why are you driving behind a car backing up?learn the rules of the road
How does it handle pot-holes at 40mph?
I was on pot in a hole last week, not nice.
Just buy the ninebot z10 instead. It goes 45km/h, but if you adjust it, it can go 57. Amazing airhweel
Tiny wheels at 40 mph? Nope

It's how natural selection works.
Liisjak just like you don't have to go 180 on a crotch rocket.. underpowered small vehicles can be even more dangerous. I've had a bunch of small bikes, including a moped that struggled to hit 25/30.. that thing was terrifying lol. My current scooter can do 45-50 and TBH I wouldn't even really wanna go much faster than that, and it has way bigger wheels&better suspension.
Lol Columbine Eric's shirt natural selection
u don't understand, in his city there are apparently no lanes for cyclists, therefore he has to be a part of the regular motorized traffic.. e-scooters work best in cities where people are used to doing their daily commute by bicycles and the infrastructure has cyclist lanes incorporated alongside walkways, usually with 25 km/h speed limit.. he has to drive on the street where traffic is moving between 30-60 km/h
I love this e-scooter. I have the + upgrade. On dual motor mode this thing wants to go. It speeds up so fast that you end up leaving a tire mark on the cement.
that's wild, I wonder how much bounce the suspension gives it if I could air it up without much trouble or is it too heavy
