Shailu S Thank you so much! If it’s your passion do it! Don’t let anyone or anything stop you ♥️ as for my sleep pattern it’s a long story of lots going on all at once 😂 but I’m working on my time management 🙈
Youkeyy SISTA... what purple shadow do you have on?!? That is one of the most vibrant purple I have seen!!! My Nars "Daphne" is pretty good but damn.... it don't come out like yours🤷🏽♀️ New subbie... why have I not came across ya vids before?! Well i'm here now.... ✌🏾💜✊🏾👑💯
Yep! I'm a former member of milk of magnesia anonymous. My skin got so bad and when I stopped, things got better. Butttttt, it kept me shine free more than any product I've tried EVER. If only a company can take the formula and revamp it to make it skin friendly.
GirlRatesWorld Exactly! That’s why I kept going back to it. I’ve heard of people using it every now and then like once in a few months but my skin is too parched for all that 🙅🏾
This is what I switched to doing after using MOM occasionally for about a year - works wonders! EDIT: I switched to applying loose powder to my T-zone before and after applying foundation.
Actually, milk of magnesia cured my teenage forehead acne. My mom read about it in a magazine and suggested it to me since I tried everything else and nothing worked. I would only put it on at night before bed and wash it off in the morning. Might not be great for all day use under makeup but it did wonders for my pimples!!!
I was going to comment the same thing. Its an old school remedy for large pores and acne. Its best to use it as a mask. Its edible so its better than chemical products.
Nothing brings back hydration into your skin except water. Be careful applying serums and moisturizers that typically just contain occlusive products meant to trap hydration in your skin, onto your skin when it isn't wet or hydrated. Wearing a silicone-free and oil-free moisturizer with ceramides and peptides at night and sleeping with a humidifier on has allowed my skin to be much more hydrated as my skin can breathe and drink in the moisture in the air. In the morning, I apply my moisturizer and lotions right after I get out of the shower on wet skin to prevent transepidermal water loss. It has helped me tremendously. Sorry if I sound preachy, just thought it might help someone else out there as it's taken me a long time to figure this out.
Liz bth I honestly stay away from oil and silicones (mainly -methicones) in anything everything I put on my skin, except for makeup because it's honestly next to impossible to find good products without it. Simple Nourishing Rich Moisturizer, Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid ( it has cyclopentiloxane, which isn't an occulusive silicone like dimethicone, as it evaporates during application) and Elta MD PM Therapy have all been good to me. I also use Mineral 89 Booster Gel by Vichy when I'm wanting extra moisture and I like Simple micellar waters for taking off makeup as they don't contain silicones like a lot of drug store micellar waters. I'm acne-prone and prone to dehydration because I've been on Differin and Tretinoin for at least 8 years so I hope that helps. Also! SPF everyday! You'd be amazed at how much better and glowing your skin looks after a few days of not being exposed to the UVA/UVB. I only use physical sunscreens, and of course, silicone-free. 😊
People really out here doing that. Honestly, though i'm not surprised. I feel like if some insta model said putting human feces on her face made her skin better, people would dive into a septic tank.
Ive used MOM twice, during the Beyonce concert Last year and a wedding. I was dancing at both events and people were like you don’t have any sweat on your face. It does keep you matte and makeup in place. Now it’s in my closet collecting dust. I swear by the Becca matte poreless primer for everyday use.
MOM contains magnesium hydroxide (absorbs lipids from your skin) and sodium hypochlorite which is a bleaching agent that is much too harsh. Also the PH is around 10.5 which is also too high & can damage skin over time. Some however claim it's more effective as a deodorant due to it's moisture absorbing properties. "In other words, if a high ph can increase the risk of a bacteria infection, the loss of sweat can reduce it. So, in this case, and this case only, the benefits of MOM are greater than its side effects." I hope this helps !
I have been using it for about 5yrs, and it actually improved my skin. I also have a great skin care routine in removing my makeup. Everyone's skin is different so to each is own.
Agree. But you don't know if it's magnesium. Personal observations can not be accurate. I have never use it and my skin become dry with the age. Had I used it,I would blame it. Actual studies include placebo group and many people, not just obe or two.
Skincare is the key. When I was dealing with skin issues all makeup looked bad. When I started taking better care of my skin, all I needed was a dab of concealer! My oil problems greatly decreased
I'm addicted too..I've been using MOM since the queens taught me a little over 20 years ago. I used to do make up for drag shows and they actually taught me this trick. I yet to have a problem at all after using it all these years. I wear makeup everyday for work, but not on the weekends. So I've been doing this almost everyday for over 20 years. If I had to stop using it, I don't know what i'd do. In my opinion, theres nothing on the market that works as well. My skin is so oily it probably off sets my skin getting dry from using MOM. I don't know but maybe it's just not for everybody. Your skin is nice though...and that shadow is making me feel faint girl! Loving it..
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I came across your video today. I began using Milk of Magnesia all over my face since Sunday night leaving it on as an overnight mask. I followed the instructions of another YT influencer esthetician sharing how she applies it all over her face every night to tighten her skin, and she's in her late 50's with beautiful skin without sagging jowls. I'm 55 years old, so I thought it would help tighten my complexion in a healthy way while I sleep. Today, when I looked at my face in the car mirror, I was very concerned. My face looked dehydrated, older and fine lines were much more pronounced. I didn't know it would suck out all the much needed moisture from my skin. When I was a teenager many years ago, I used tmilk of magnesia to control acne and whiteheads. But I had youthful combination skin and lived in humid Florida as a teen in those days. Now, I have dry skin, in menopause & living in Maryland. You just helped my skin significantly!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Do you also use this lady’s skincare line? If so you don’t have to worry because she has been using MOM for many years as a mask overnight. Ans she has beautiful skin. The other thing she explicitly says is to NOT use foundation and concealer.
if you get a sample of Becca primer from Sephora make sure to use it soon and dont let it sit in there for days....it can dry out....also i think it oxadizes and makes ur foundation darker...theres something about it i didnt like, my favourite is the benefit pore perfection primer...its a green tube. Its the best primer i have ever bought.
If you can keep it to JUST oily spots and even then ONLY on special occasions it's the bomb... That's the problem! It works soo good that you're tempted to use it everyday. DON'T!
Girl, TELL THEM. Milk of Magnesia destroys the skin's acid mantle and I'm shocked when I hear of people who have used it daily and not suffered any ill effects. I shudder to think how many people use this instead of a good matte primer.
I have been using MOM since I was 15 as a mask, not as a primer. I am 37 now. Put it on, let it dry and wash it off. I spot treat pimples with it or toothpaste. It works for me. That may be because I don't leave it on for an extended period of time.
That’s weird I’ve been using it for awhile because I have oily skin, and I’ve never had any problems. But I understand, different people experience different things! Your eyeshadow is bombbb btw.
same here I have been using it for a little over 8 years and no issues for me...but then again I do prep and prime my skin first with something else before putting on MOMA...and I only put the MOMA on my t-zone and I do it everyday and I have no skin issues...I also deep clean and wash my face every night...I guess it depends on the skin type and how it reacts...no issues for me
Aja White Lmao, no one is bleaching their skin ma’am. Haven’t noticed my skin getting any lighter, and actually no. I’ve been all skin colors use it. What works for me works for me. It may not work for you, but that’s you. You are entitled to your own opinion. ❤️
Girl your eye shadow though! I use egg white on my skin. I have horrible dry skin. It seems to help my eczema and make it less angry. My grandma swore by it on the face
WOW hun that was so dangerous! I have a kidney disease where my kidneys don’t hold potassium so I’m extremely depleted and I’ve been in ICU before because of it and I take 1000 mg of magnesium to help maintain all the potassium I have to take every day. Cause if u lose to much potassium ur heart will just stop and I have other heart trouble on top of that shit no less. But if u intake magnesium that’s not needed it will raise ur potassium and can cause a heart attack or stop it heart and when ur heart stops due to to much potassium CPR isn’t gonna do shit u need to be shocked! Within I believe 4 minuets for an adult. But ur skin is a sponge to the bloodstream. If u take something orally it has to go through ur digestive system but when u put something that dissolves on ur tongue or on ur skin it goes directly into the blood stream! If u I take enough over time u will fuck w important things like ur RBC’s ur platelets ur white blood cells and a lot of other levels in the body like magnesium and potassium n u can become very ill. It’s a good thing that dry skin is all that happened. Ppl think shit is safe because it’s over the counter. I worked the hospital for many years and I’ve seen ppl die from improperly taking Tylenol and IBU. They cause there own renal failure. I’ve seen someone accidentally OD on Benadryl. If u read the back of the milk of magnesium it tells u all the dangers it will cause !! Ur very lucky hun don’t ever do something like that again. More ppl die from accidentally Over dosing from misusing over the counter medicine then accidentally OD over prescription medicine and that’s because most ppl when the dr orders it they take it seriously n they follow the instructions but 80% of ppl don’t even read the warnings on the box or bottle of over the counter medicine cause there not afraid or leery about cause well it’s over the counter n they don’t show the same respect that they would if a dr prescribed it! Plz don’t ever do that again!! Ever w any over the counter medicine!!
GIRLLLLL, this is the first video of yours I've EVER watched, and you blow my mind in the first 5 seconds by sounding like Beyoncé. YOU. GO. MISS. THANG. I truly hope you use that talent and often. And when you sing to people, and you're finished, just say to them 'you're welcome', and walk away. You're STUNNING in every possible way. Happy New Year 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 By the way, there is a FANTASTIC UA-cam dermatologist called Dr Dray, who talks mainly about skin care items, and what we are buying into with the marketing, the brands, the ingredients etc. Sadly, I found out I'm doing pretty much everything wrong, BUT, I will be starting to save myself an ASSLOAD of money doing things the right way. But she mentions this method, and it's been used by makeup artists many times on runway models to achieve that matte effect. So girl you're not wrong 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Everyone should sub this Doctor's channel, she only has 25K viewers, and she gives out for free such PRICELESS info. Also, she answered my questions within HALF HOUR. She's amazing and deserves so many more viewers, as do you. But you got a lot girl. Keep up the great work 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Where you started wondering why your skin was dry, I started wondering why my life was going to shit, and I didn't want to believe it was the OxyContin addiction. Haha. Sorry, I over share. But, as of February 2010, haven't touched it. So that's a good thing 💪🏼💪🏼
Youkeey, but that's like giving a patient ultrasound gel to rub on their face.I heard that thing years ago and knew it was tricky. Thanks for sharing because lots of girls are guilty
i have oily skin. i also tried that milk of magnesia im in love with Becca poreless primer. i absolutely swear by black castor oil its marvelous right before the becca primer or alone. it mattifies but leaves a supple finish and ur makeup glides.
You kinda gave the scientific fact, MOM is alkaline. That’s all I needed to hear. It makes sense why your skin was dry. You are lucky that’s all it did. ;-) . Very good video. You’re very beautiful and thanks for the info.
Damn it! Your makeup is so on fleek! 🔥 I never put Milk of Magnesia on my face and I never will! For me it's too weird and I was sure it was bad for the skin.. But the majority of black girls literally LIVE for that.. Makes me sad.. Thumbs up from Paris, France girl!
when I worked in a pharmacy occasionally we would have older white women come in and say they did that. I got the impression it was more for anti wrinkles/smoother skin than anything else. For their age something was working right. I'm pretty sure they slept with it on. Was a few years ago so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.
“the majority of black girls live for that....” really! The majority? I’ve never heard of doing this and none of the black women I know do this. “Majority.”
This explains why the texture on my nose and center of my forehead feels the way it does. I've been using it for 5 years. Wow....I'm sad lol! I loved how well it controlled the oil under my make up. BUT I'm glad to know that I can begin to restore health to those areas on my face by discontinuing use. Thank you for sharing your experience.
This beauty hack has been around for years! I've only been using it for two years and haven't had any issues. I use it everyday. I make sure I use a moisturizer before applying the Milk of magnesia.
I used to use it as a sort of face mask. Just put it on, wait till it dries and wash it off. I never kept it on... my face looked better but I was also a teenager
OMG! I've been using MOM for about 3 years and I just thought it was so weird that I didn't even tell anyone...lol. I think I found out about it from looking at the ingredients in the 'shine control' product that I was using at the time and I saw that the main ingredient was the same ingredient in MOM. It works so well for me in keeping my oil controlled and extending my makeup wear. I don't use it daily though so I haven't seen any real down sides like the dryness. I also use olive oil at night too though so that might help. Your makeup is gorgeous BTW..beautiful!
I was downstairs and left my computer opened, came back up to find that my cat had been playing videos, no joke. I'd stopped on Wayne Goss and she came here and then on to other videos lol. I'm already subbed so she has good taste! She also had to turn my laptop on...
Someone may have already explained why "Milk of Magnesia" worked? If not, it was the magnesium hydroxide Mg(OH)2 that most likely was so efficient in drying out the sebum/oil in the skin. Also I have noticed some people saying you were crazy because it probably dried your skin too much. The other main ingredient in the product (water) would have balanced that out. You used a product that is reasonably inexpensive to get exactly the same results we get from crazy over-priced creams that sometimes sell for a small fortune when bought from some well-known "beauty houses". Genius!!! Something to make you laugh: One of the reasons the U.K. decided to leave the European Union (not saying it was a good idea all around) but the E.U. meddled & banned sales of Milk of Magnesia because it contained just a little too much Magnesium. This product has been sold for over 100 yrs, no ill-effects, even in babies. A Great-Grandma decided to say that she even used it on her babies who didn't want to feed due to too much gas in their intestines & recommended it to friends with all kinds of similar probs. Sometimes Grandma knows better than a whole bunch of bureaucrats sitting with more time on their hands than is good for them :).
Captain here: Eating high fat food seldom translate to oily skin, that is not possible. Oily skin often is a result of hormone imbalances, many women can experience this when on the pill. Talk to your Dr if the problems are unbearable, sometimes it gets better from using the pill, sometimes it gets worse, all this is very much depending on your chemical composition of the skin. Milk of magnesia is related to lye, a very high pH (pH 8-12) substance used for deep cleaning, and I would guess that it has melted into your skin, probably destroyed the sebum producing areas. It will take a few years for those areas to regenerate, if ever. The increase in white heads is a reaction to the damage of the sebum producing areas, where other parts of the skin tries to compensate for the loss of naturally oil producing areas. Skin care needs to be around pH 5,5-6 (slightly acidic) to match the natural skin pH. Deviating from this for a long period of time may damage your skin permanently, like you just experienced. *flies away*
Oh my God that eye Make up. Just saw your fenty review and you mentioned about using the highlighter trophy wife on the lids with smoked purple, I was shooketh when I saw this. Like, stomp on the break shook. The shape and color... fit your eyes so well. Lip color is on point too. I had trouble listening to the video because I was so distracted by your makeup.
The milk of magnesia ruined my face. I got these horrible patchy dry spots my face, and it broke out all over with cystic acne. It's crazy, that stuff can be so dangerous to our skin. I'm glad your skin has recovered!
I too stopped using it after I notice such a harsh change in my skin. I tried out Becca, but it made me even more oily. I started using NYX Angel Veil as my primer about 3 weeks ago and OMG!!! That is now my official go to at all times. With the help of my Laura Mercier setting powder I don’t get the least bit oily until after hour 7 of my makeup being on. I’m very pleased. I used to get oily literally an hour after doing my makeup.
Glad I didn't fall into the trap, I tried it when it first became hype but didn't stick with it. But natural aloe Vera gel is bomb for hydration and primer and will not destroy your skin in the long run.
You know when someone’s skin was made for make up...it suits you perfectly.God bless your consistency and time create quality videos.Youre blessed🙏🙏 #1 fan lowkey😊
Crazy part is I never even thought of it until I went to a class with celeb muas 👀 and that's the 1st thing they said to do!!! I stopped about 1 and a half years ago. Nothing happened to my skin but I just stopped because it's not for the face and I just can no longer consider it as a pro MUA.
Makeup Muvah I’ve seen it being done too and although I don’t think using it once or twice is going to make all that big a difference for most people, using it consistently may definitely pose a problem. But idk if I would want that kind of liability on my hands if I were an MUA 🤔 especially a celeb MUA at that. You just never know how someone’s skin might react to it. Just my thoughts though 🤷🏾♀️
Youkeyy yea, that's why I stopped. I realized I was fed the wrong info by people I THOUGHT knew better. I stopped using it on MYSELF 1 1/2 years ago...i stopped using it on my clients about 6 months into my makeup journey after some research. So it hasn't been used on my clients in about 3 years. Luckily I stopped before anyone had any reactions.
I've always been scared to use MOM and Becca Ever Matte is too pricey for me. I'll stick to Rimmel Stay Matte primer or NYX Angel Veil and mini bake with a mattifying primer before my foundations.
EC DC *THIS IS THE PERFECT COMMENT FOR THOSE ASKING HOW TO CONTROL OILY SKIN UNDER MAKEUP!* I put it in all caps so hopefully they scroll by and see this 😂
EC DC my skin is a combination of very oily “like I been frying myself in oil” on my t zone and super dry on the rest, I have tried loads of primers and only milk of magnesia been working with me even tho I have been having the exact same side effects as she, gonna give it a no at nyx and baking, thanks soo much for your coment xx
Youkeyy thanks soo much for this video, I knew it was damaging my skin somehow but this video just made me sure as no one seems to really talk about it, just hard to find a primer with the same mattefiying results.. also I love the colours of you lipstick it’s that a combination?? Tutorial for this look PLEASEEEEEEE♥️
Ive recently tried the Rimmel stay matt primer but unfortunately after about 30mins it was super oily again. I loved the Kiko matt primer but theyve changed the formula which was a huge bummer! Ill stick to the m.o.m as it really does the job. Ill check out your other suggestion too.
Yall might want to try the soap and glory primer called one heck of a blot. I'm super oily and I stayed matte for a longer amount of hours so it might work.
It’s not bad at all magnesium is a natural mineral has medicinal and creates a barrier if you are concerned that is the last thing you should be worried about if you look at the list of ingredients in your makeup there’s toxic shot in there. You must moisturize first and then mix 1 part mom and 1 part spring water. I add Nivea to it my skin has been better since it’s kept my skin from breaking out and keeps my pores cleaner for a while
Noooo!!! I swear by yeast masks though! They make it better, I sweaaarrrr!! I didn't like MoM on me though, and you're right! Overall people try way too crazy things.
I only use MOM when I need long wear which is not to often. Maybe once a month. I tried Becca but it doesn't go on smoothly any suggestions? I use Rimmel stay matte for daily makeup primer.
From a Biological point of view. If you have Oily skin you might want to look at how you are washing your skin. Harshly removing these oils that are supposed to be on your skin to a point, will cause your skin to create more oil than needed to compensate the loss. Also being mindful of the temperature of the water you are putting on your face when you bathe and rinse off products will cause this reaction to. Try to use cool water. This will help people with dry skin to as not to make it dryer.
Makeup Love this is exactly what I do. I use a regular primer all over my face first, and then the SLIGHTEST amount of diluted MOM only in the areas that I get oily. So slight that the area doesn’t even get white when it dries. It’s been three years and my face hasn’t changed. If you’re like me and nothing else works for you, dilute, and use the smallest amount. You do not need to slather your entire face! You don’t need to look like a ghost! And please take care of your skin underneath your makeup.
Makeup Love I do half ELF matte clear setting spray and half MOM. I spray it on a sponge (beauty blender) and dab it on my oily parts and then put my makeup on top. I do this after toner, vitamin c , Moisturizer and spf

You should add Lotion P50 to your skincare routine. It's an acid toner that balances the pH of the skin. It's not cheap, but I've heard it works wonders.
Omgaaaaaaaa! Your so beautiful!! & you’re eyes!!! Are🔥🔥🔥🔥I’ll call that the “purple rain!” 😍😍😍😍reminds me of Prince colors. Love! Love! Looooove!!!😍😍😍😍
It's great for over night applications. Wash it off in morning. Anywhere with pimples really. Clean sheets and pillows too. Have to go back with face wash and moisturize. This has been done for years. Before the internet. Like as long as it's been around. Pro tips from Nanas.
I use it and have no issues. I take care of my skin very well. I'LL be 35 and people swear I'm young and be trying to talk to me crazy too LOL. I have to stop them in their tracks lol.
when you put the song about balance i died laughing. oh man. im checking out the rest of your vids tonight. you're really funny but down to earth and smart at the same time
But MOM is da shizznit!!! Am yet to find any primer out there dat controls oil like MOM. I used to use it alot couple of years ago and I'd always get one or two breakouts. Now I only use it on special occasions. But I plan to use it on my wedding day(whenever that is) cuz i need to stay matte af!
I sound & look very tired on some parts of this video because I was on hour 40 or so without sleep 🤦🏾♀️
Shailu S Thank you so much! If it’s your passion do it! Don’t let anyone or anything stop you ♥️ as for my sleep pattern it’s a long story of lots going on all at once 😂 but I’m working on my time management 🙈

God bless you

Liz bth yo thank you

Cameron Rogers what sunscreen do you use? Preferably one that won't look ashy under makeup

LaTya Arnold It’s actually kind of scary how good the milk of magnesia works though 😔
am going to try the Becca matte pore less primer I have oily skin
I've been using the becca too and I love it. I used to use the MOM everyday
I might have to try that one
Is it okay/safe to use it under my eyes and as an eyeshadow primer as well? I have very oily skin and my eyelids are not exception.
Those eyeeessss😱 poppinggggg yessss teach me your ways!😍😍
Classic Nicole Thank you Nicole! The tutorial link is in my description box 😘🤗
Lol. She did a great job.
Kaye T. Caldwell Thank you! I mentioned the pH as well but didn’t get to go in depth with the ingredients. Either way I’ve learned my lesson 😂😭
You're still beautiful sweetness ! Muah !
I thought lower the number the higher the ph?..
Kaye T. Caldwell if it has a "bleaching agent" how is it made to digest?
Lower the ph=more acidic higher=more alkaline

3:30 omg wtf is that I screamed
I have been using it for about 5yrs, and it actually improved my skin. I also have a great skin care routine in removing my makeup. Everyone's skin is different so to each is own.
Same here skin is like porcelain now
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I was all serious paying attention and the balance came on 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Saaammee!
Loving it..
I am LIVING for this eyeshadow look!!! Total inspiration
WeRunique thank you!
Have seen videos of that same UA-camr. Had the same experience with MOM.
You need to add vitamin E and Nivea cream to a little bit of magnesium, that will help moist the skin.
can't stop looking at her eyes....
I screamed at the balance bit omgggg 😂

Great title. Of course I had to click. Never used it perosnally, as my face is drier than a popcorn fart, but nevertheless I'm super curious!
Ivy Munro lmao!!
IM DYINGGG 😂😂😂😂😂
Ivy Munro 🤣🤣
My face is also drier than a popcorn fart. I relate on an emotional level.
Drier than a popcorn fart...lol
if you get a sample of Becca primer from Sephora make sure to use it soon and dont let it sit in there for days....it can dry out....also i think it oxadizes and makes ur foundation darker...theres something about it i didnt like, my favourite is the benefit pore perfection primer...its a green tube.
I wasn't ready for the balance part 😂
I have been using MOM since I was 15 as a mask, not as a primer. I am 37 now. Put it on, let it dry and wash it off. I spot treat pimples with it or toothpaste. It works for me. That may be because I don't leave it on for an extended period of time.
That’s weird I’ve been using it for awhile because I have oily skin, and I’ve never had any problems. But I understand, different people experience different things! Your eyeshadow is bombbb btw.
Brianna Marie thank you!
Brianna Marie I’ve never had any problems with it either
same here I have been using it for a little over 8 years and no issues for me...but then again I do prep and prime my skin first with something else before putting on MOMA...and I only put the MOMA on my t-zone and I do it everyday and I have no skin issues...I also deep clean and wash my face every night...I guess it depends on the skin type and how it reacts...no issues for me
do research on ph balance, it's not a matter of if your skin will dry up it's a matter of whennnnn!!!

Happy New Year 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
By the way, there is a FANTASTIC UA-cam dermatologist called Dr Dray, who talks mainly about skin care items, and what we are buying into with the marketing, the brands, the ingredients etc. Keep up the great work 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Where you started wondering why your skin was dry, I started wondering why my life was going to shit, and I didn't want to believe it was the OxyContin addiction.
Chinyere Osuafor 😂😂😂😭 ultrasound gel to rub on their face. You are just giving instagram makeup enthusiasts more ideas 😩😂
+Youkeyy
Lmao, where do you even get ultrasound gel? 😂
I love when a makeup video is to the point and informative while having some small humor. Thanks! :)
i have oily skin. i also tried that milk of magnesia im in love with Becca poreless primer. i absolutely swear by black castor oil its marvelous right before the becca primer or alone. it mattifies but leaves a supple finish and ur makeup glides.
its good for severly dry or oily skin.
your cheekbones are are so nice
Kristen Renee thank you!
I never put Milk of Magnesia on my face and I never will!
For me it's too weird and I was sure it was bad for the skin..
But the majority of black girls literally LIVE for that.. Makes me sad..
Thumbs up from Paris, France girl!
The Ferny Show salut toi!!
Hey! Ca va? 😁
I've never heard of or known any blacks who put this product on their face. I'm not sure why people were doing this but to each his own 😕
when I worked in a pharmacy occasionally we would have older white women come in and say they did that.
Murad! Is bomb for oily skin.. So try that if and when your skin goes back to oily. (it's the Murad oily skin products)
You should try charity pot from lush it's soooo moisturizing it'll have your skin glowing
This beauty hack has been around for years!
I've only been using it for two years and haven't had any issues. I use it everyday. I make sure I use a moisturizer before applying the Milk of magnesia.
Anybody looking for alternatives the black radiance primer in the compact is great it makes you SUPER matte and it's only like $5
I was thinking about using milk of magnesia, because my mom recommended it to me when I was a teenager. So glad I watched this first 😅 Thank you!!!
I used to use it as a sort of face mask. Just put it on, wait till it dries and wash it off. I never kept it on... my face looked better but I was also a teenager
“You need to know the balance” 😂😂 I was screaming 😭 did not see that coming, sense of humour 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I could not pay attention to what you were saying. The eye colors were so vibrant. Looks great on you, but not many can pull off this look.
I've been using MOM since 2009. Nothing has ever happened with my skin, but every person is different. Your skin/body will tell you what it likes.
But it's not a matter of different skin. It will eventeventually dry out your skin. I'd recommend saying away from it.
I was downstairs and left my computer opened, came back up to find that my cat had been playing videos, no joke. I'd stopped on Wayne Goss and she came here and then on to other videos lol. I'm already subbed so she has good taste! She also had to turn my laptop on...
Stephanie iii Lol this made me laugh so hard. Smart cat!
Captain here:
Eating high fat food seldom translate to oily skin, that is not possible.
Honestly I just starting using it and loveeee it but I use only a thin layer I just to use as little as possible
Deidra Addison that NYX angel veil primer is the truth! Laura mercier setting powder is my holy grail.
Deidra Addison is the nyx primer ok for dry skin?
helloyello55 I wouldn’t say it is. It’s better for oily skin I believe.
Chidinma Onyendi yes!!! Both are daily uses for me. I’ll never use MOM again. That crap is awful for your skin.
Glad I didn't fall into the trap, I tried it when it first became hype but didn't stick with it. But natural aloe Vera gel is bomb for hydration and primer and will not destroy your skin in the long run.
I’m loving this hair on you
Rolanda B Thank you Rolanda!
is it evlyn?
Calamine lotion is a great alternative to MOM, as it is formulated for use on the skin
You know when someone’s skin was made for make up...it suits you perfectly.God bless your consistency and time create quality videos.Youre blessed🙏🙏 #1 fan lowkey😊
Milk of magnesia is a base, to counteract the acids in your stomach. It's really high on the PH base. You can use it, but only on special occassians.
you have such a nice face structure omg
I never tried it, but have really been thinking about it. My skin is way to oily, the crazy thing it's mostly around my face.
PLEASE say there is there a tutorial for this look? It's so captivating. If not, could you please make one???
I lie, I just seen the tutorial on this look and just subscribed to your channel. Your looks are great!!!
Have you tried using you're translucent powder as a primer? Like Jackie Aina? It works. To keep your makeup Matt
E45 cream is so good for dry and sensitive skin
I add Nivea to it my skin has been better since it’s kept my skin from breaking out and keeps my pores cleaner for a while
I eat high fat, low carb and still have dry skin. Unsure of where you are getting there is a correlation with high fat = more oil production.
Noooo!!! I swear by yeast masks though! They make it better, I sweaaarrrr!! I didn't like MoM on me though, and you're right! Overall people try way too crazy things.
The random balance song tho.... LOL !!

Youkeyy oh my goshhhhh lolololol puleeeaaasse fond that for me so I can laugh lol

This will help people with dry skin to as not to make it dryer.
dilute it with water, only put it where you get oily and dont wear it everyday and you will be ok. everyone is different

Yes that's what I do. I put MOM on top of moisturizers and I don't use it everyday. I only put it in my tzone only
You should add Lotion P50 to your skincare routine. It's an acid toner that balances the pH of the skin. It's not cheap, but I've heard it works wonders.
nickyworth25 I used it and stopped for a while but it does work well
MOM destroys your acid mantle barrier that protects your skin
Kenya Davis acid mantle!!
Omgaaaaaaaa! Your so beautiful!! & you’re eyes!!! Are🔥🔥🔥🔥I’ll call that the “purple rain!” 😍😍😍😍reminds me of Prince colors. Love! Love! Looooove!!!😍😍😍😍
Balance!!!! Balance balaaaaannnccceeee lmfao.
Samon Sisson 😂😭💀
It's great for over night applications. Wash it off in morning. Anywhere with pimples really. Clean sheets and pillows too. Have to go back with face wash and moisturize. This has been done for years. Before the internet. Like as long as it's been around. Pro tips from Nanas.
Dual purpose products. Marketed as singular use things. Listerine used to be sold as toilet bowl cleaner.

Flawless makeup! Tutorial in the making????????????💄💄💄💄💄
I've used it for the same period and my skin is still great. Everyone is different
onyx lee Same.. it works really well for me 😅
It’s just about matter of time. Cause end of the day it’s not meant for face the ingredients are crazy. Stay safe ladies
Princess Oniká maybe for those who wear makeup everyday and dont have proper skincare regimens
Your eyeshadow is superb!
