I agree that his content is much more useful and artistically experienced, but "beauty gurus" are just people who are like us, reviewers, who love makeup and are trying to share what they know. They aren't experts like Goss. They're just consumers. Different level of education for sure, they're mostly entertaining.

You're so right Wayne. I'm 47 this month and don't have many wrinkles but I look my age. My skin looks younger without foundation but I like the way I look better with it on.
I so wish we could change the way we think about ageing. I finished chemo/radiotherapy yesterday. I've had cancer twice. 15-20 years ago, I would probably have died but because we have wonderful scientists constantly finding new treatments, I am still alive and looking forward to the future. It is an honour to have wrinkles. We should be wearing them with pride instead of hating the way we look.
Anyway, thank you for doing this. I really enjoyed it and you are so right. 😘😘😘😘

This youth-obsessed world is ridiculous. I agree... the whole world needs to realize that age is a number, and NO ONE can outrun getting older (at least not yet... scientists claim we may only be 5 or 10 years away from that little miracle medicine that stops a lot of the aging process). And us older ladies and gents have a HUGE advantage over our younger generations: wisdom and maturity!

I'm sick to death of these young woman who have flawless faces and are talking about their wrinkles and hooded eyes. It's so ridiculous! They will regret all this botox and fillers someday. As in all things relating to botox and fillers (FDA), it will later be determined this actually made your skin on your face age faster and is likely to be detrimental in a long run. When they can't get it anymore, that skin that stretched from all the botox and fillers giving you a smooth face, is going to look much worse than if you didn't use them. Fact is, we are going to age and all the things you do for temporary relief in your looks aren't that healthy and in a long run, will be found to be not so hot. Injecting a toxin in your face isn't smart.

It's been ages since I've commented, but always, always come back to your channel Wayne. Thank you so much for your message today ... I forget my true propose for all the beautiful cosmetics in my collection on occasion -- to keep me looking soft, pretty and chic while playing up my features, rather than buying and buying in literal vain hoping for some sort of silly magic product promised to bring the skin and features of my 20s and 30s to reappear before my very eyes! I'm so burnt out with new releases, the next better thing, the beauty item I can't live without ... I've got enough high-end, mid-range and budget-friendly cosmetics, skincare items and devices to last me a lifetime, if I spent my time using what I've got properly and only investing when something really is a breakthrough! Your brushes were one of those breakthrough items for my application improvement.
You don't know how much you just helped me personally.
    Thank you Wayne.

I am a makeup artist and the most frustrating part about applying foundation and concealer on my older clients is when they expect it to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and then feel disappointed when they look to see they are still there and are sometimes more enhanced! 62 here almost 63 & appreciate this! I have & love 4 products; Estée Lauder Double Wear, MAC Face and Body, MAC Studio Fix powder foundation & MAC ProLongWear concealer used as a tinted moisturizer mixed with skin cream.
I sometimes wonder about other things that claim to bounce light but the others I try never work as well as these 4. And these don’t collect in my pores and rub off elsewhere leaving the weird polka dots of white in a sea of redness, blotches & sun damage.
I use them alternating based on what I am doing that day and what I’m feeling like.
At the end of the day (literally) I notice my face still looks tired and wrinkly. But with these 4 it is still looking more even.
The best one is the Face & Body. It stays looking like skin but filtered.

I'm 41..don't look my age at all but have tiny fine lines under my eyes in a few spots..I hate how too much makeup looks under the eyes. What I have found works very well for me is if you don't need concealer under the eyes,DON'T use any. Apply foundation and when finished go back w a bb a smooth out any foundation that settled in those lines..THEN..I use a different damp BB and put a super small amount, just barely enough to notice on the beauty blender really and I do my time zone..the. I set under the eyes w what's left on the BB. It really minimizes that crepey effect and is just enough to set the under eyes.if you have to use concealer one that's not fully matte like shape tape,is best. Full matte concealer just looks dry.and makes you look older imo. I just love you Wayne. Why every beauty youtuber can't be as honest and perfect as you are is sad..you're the best! Maybe you can try an old ladies under eye trick (aka me 😄) and see what you think some time..love you and your honesty..and your kindness above all else. You're such a beautiful human being while others are so ugly. In their hearts that is. Rant over 😂

You should have watched my attempts to do eyeliner on my aging and increasingly droopy outer kids (large lids in youth, sigh) earlier this evening. You would have sympathized. Only succeeded in doing (shortish) wings once I put aside any notion of copying anyone else or looking a certain way, i.e. younger. I actually seem to have cracked it by working out what is the best angle and level for me. I noticed you mentioned eyes and aging so thought I would share!

I appreciate you did your makeup properly for the demo without putting it on badly just to confirm your thesis. I already noticed from personal experience that makeup makes wrinkles look worst and I believe wrinkles aren't bad and they are natural. So I don't mind makeup doing nothing for my wrinkles, but I don't like it making them look worst. I think it is not impossible through to formulate a skin like foundation or concealer. It just isn't really something companies want to produce because they prefer to cater younger skins who mostly are oily. How many foundations and concealer are there for oily skin and how many for dry skin? Here we go. Wrinkles benefit from hydration, but hydrating properties in foundation and concealer production are more expensive.
